Hi Fella
Im also pretty new to trials and will be making the step up to the B shorlty, something that has helped me no end is this: Trials Training Techniques with Ryan Young DVD (not the advanced one) It is a good step by step guide of how to ride things with the minimum effort.
Good luck and stick with it

Hi Guys
Thanks for your comments!
I have to agree Lampkins have been brilliant with my Rev 3 08 and like I have already said it

Hey
Im looking at treating myself to a nice new bike for 2011, the question is what one?
I currently ride a Beta 250 Rev 3 2008 model on the C route & will be starting to try B at the next few trials, its a great bike!!! Power is smooth, great traction fairly light mmmmm why am I getting a new one lol
Ive had a spin on a 2010 Gasser light and flicky but dont know if it would be to much for a whole trial? not yet managed to blag a go on a 250 Evo.
So what do you peeps think????
I look forward to your words of wisdom

Hi
I wear Jitsie kit with six six one knee pads under as I have torn ligaments in both knees, thats what moto X and rugby does to you....lol they work really well and give the support required but still allowing full movement....
-
Thanks Arnoux
Ill give that a try!
Cheers

Hi Guys
Thanks for all your comments
It looks like the scales are tipping towards the 4 stroke, maintenance wise im not worried as my best friend is a bike mechanic so I just need something that is going to get me round and more importantly that is available for me to buy in the next week or two so I can start having fun
Keep the comments coming im going to send a deposit off the end of today then pick the bike up the following weekend, if all you feed backs good.
Cheers

Hi All
Well ive got my money and have the chance of a 4 stroke 07, do you think this will be ok for a novice trials rider? I come from a moto X background but have only road 2 stokes.
Looking for your advice yet again.

Thanks you have made up my mind the Scorpa it is, im so looking forward to getting out there and giving it ago!
The next question for you is what are the rules, what is the best training to do and are there any good DVD out there that will help a novice like myself. Also what kit last the distance.

Hi fozza321
Cheers for that mate, I must admit im more tempted by the overall package of the Gas Gas and there seems to be a lot more trick bits out there for them as I would love to make my bike a little different from others.
Thanks again.

Hi Everyone
New to trials what bike do I go for are they all as good as each other? (keep in mind i used to ride motox cross but it was many years ago)
Ive spoken with one guy who says for a novice 250 Scorpa all the way, that said he does have a Scorpa. Are all the other models just as good or better and what are the most reliable makes?
All advice is welcome.
Cheers
-
Thanks Baldilocks
Good to see theres another rider with no hair....lol
Thanks again for you advice trials bottoms it is, just need to shed a few more pounds.
Do you think the weight of the bike will be an issue for a novice such as myself?
Cheers

Hi Everyone
Where do I start new to trials so many questions.
What bike? I like the Gas Gas 280 but I have been told a Scorpa 250 would be better suited to a novice (novice at trials yes but done moto x from age 10 until i was 17 taking the top off my hip on a table top ouch) will this help at all?
Club? Mendipvale looks the best for me local and the riders like a beer or two so im told. (I live in Nailsea nr Bristol)
Kit? I wont look good in tight stuff, so how about moto x bottoms?
Any other hints and tips welcome.
Cheers
