    Water In Crankcase?

As above lay the bike down and remove the glass and clean. Refit the glass but do not over tighten, the plastic can become brittle, just put a socket on it and tighten it with your hand do not use a ratchet or bar, socket and fingers only!!

Can you borrow a cdi from a mates bike or fit your stator to his bike and eliminate it as the problem?
  4. Thank you for all the constructive replies, been out today with my son practicing and no problems, no noise or vibration and most importantly no drag.
  5. Seems to have a tendency to cause the pads to drag slightly, and speaking to another rider they said that thay had removed it without any problems and the drag disappeared,. On fitting new pads today I just left the clip out to see how it ran, the shape of the pad will not allow them to move from the correct position.
  6. Is anyone running with the clip removed like this- Clip-
  7. Kickstart got my intrest as a boy, as a non motorbike riding family I would not have found the sport!
  8. Glad you got it sorted, just need a new stat then!
  9. Just re-read your post if you have put voltage across the two thermostat wires the fan will not run, you need to connect across the fan feed, the thermostat wires are only a positive line that is switched!
  10. You need to join the two wires at the thermostat, if you have done this and applied voltage to the fan motor correctly then the fan is faulty!
  11. I think you need the correct bar pad! That looks like quite a large / bulky pad.
  12. Great Job, really rewarding after all the work!

  14. Did your son have this problem at a trial yesterday? Funny a lad at the trial we were at had exactly the same problem!
  15. 12 L with 200 ml oil is 60:1 hope that helps 80:1 would be 150ml in 12L. Stand by for correction any time soon lol.
  16. Fed up with awkward oil fill (not really that awkward but anyway) total oil charge can be held in the funnel so nice and easy now!
  17. Are your wheel bearings ok, sometimes if there is play in the bearings the disk will push the pads back further and the cause you to have a different position on the lever until you pump the lever and then it returns to the original position!
  18. No problem with silkolene!
