  1. Silkolene light gear oil every time ++++++
  2. Hi and welcome, from memory 550 cc is correct, but I think some people recommend only using 500 cc to give better clutch action. If you check out American Beta (just google it) all the user manuals and workshop manuals you will ever need are available for download.
  3. Have you burped the banjo on the m/c, I had the same thing happen, I could not move any fluid and then I burped the banjo and after that was able to bleed the brake line in the normal way.
  4. Great news, we have missed you. Good luck to you all at the new BVM.
  5. Just a quick note, have you replaced the damaged HT lead (spark plug lead) if it has cut into the lead and the conductor is damaged you could get a week spark that will not spark when under compresson.

  8. Flywheel key sheared? Sorry just noticed it's been mentioned above!
  9. Owner manuals are available to download at American Beta, you can download parts lists, owners manual and engine manual.
  10. Hi, has anyone got any pointers to find best priced road insurance for a 16 year old?
  11. We used silkalean light gear oil never had a problem with clutch dragging.
  12. Use a 20 inch bmx inner inflated so it holds it's shape, place the inner tube in the gap between the tyre bead and the rim so it fill the gap, inflate the tyre and pull the inner tube out as the bead of the tyre reaches the rim of the wheel, this is normally very successfully to get the tyre to seal, once the tyre is holding pressure continue to inflate until the beads seat (please be cautious of over inflating the tyre especially if it has any visible damage) Alternatively a bead seater is a great investment.
  13. Go for the 300 if you get a Beta 4t
  14. The Renault has more room behind the bulkhead than the vauxhall. Even in the Renault you have to lock the bars over.
  15. Has the bike been on its side? We used to loose some oil through the breather after a big off. If it was loosing trans oil through the mains it would be smoking enough to hide the section that he was riding. Unless your lad is riding the bike hard all the time you probably have a rear silencer full of unburnt oil that is smoking when the bike gets hot after a long hill climb!
  16. Will try to post a photo at the weekend probably only two bikes not three.
  17. Crew cab LWB, three bikes no problem.

    Hello

Perspective! As time passes your understand that it is on the correct side! Welcome to a very addictive and fun sport.
  19. Silly question but you are turning the fuel off while the bike is parked for the week? Does the tap let by when in the off position? When the bike starts does it run very fluffy at first? The bike my flooding if the float needle has a small leak when closed this would also need some other minor carb faults but so minor that the bike could run fine once started.
  20. The most welcoming and supportive sport ever, I knew it could not last, how negative can it get!
  21. North devon is a trials hot spot Lyn motorcycle club Torridge and district motorcycle club Practice ground at bikers rest Exmoor mcc
  22. Don't ride it with the needles missing.
