  1. Mine has an original exhaust back box which I removed for safe keeping and replaced it with a stainless copy from ebay a while back. It fitted ok but sounds awful! It may be possible to modify a WES type from a TLR.(Wrong side) The sump guards were always a bit thin but also had a black fibre wrap around shield for the engine cases. Shedworks make a copy of this and it fits between the sump guard and engine.(£65) Not many people kept this shield in place as it held a lot of mud!!
  2. The original guards would have been black made by VF (Vacuum Formers) Hard to find now but copies have been made over the years. Somtimes pop up on ebay. I always thought they looked better with white! My Seeley has 14 inch rear shocks, not sure if that is correct but work fine. Yours looks ok in the pic's. Your exhaust header looks more like TLR than Seeley. Great little bikes.
  3. Are there any differences between the MH and the Montesa 200? Did Honda make any changes to the bike when they took over?
  4. I have gone for 9/42 and with a new Mikuni carb this feels much better!

    Tx300

There would be an awful lot of people in there with me!

Tlr. Slight modification but worth the effort. (From a 311 really)

    Tx300

    I use a TX300 swinging arm.
  8. I fitted a tubeless rim from a 315r. Bought a second hand wheel and was even able to re-use the Montesa spokes and adjusters.
  9. That's why my cakes turn out all wrong, my Mary Berry scales must need calibrating!
  10. Traditional bars with brace = 620g Sorry don't have any fat bars to compare.

    Cota200 Clutch

Bike fairly new to me and rebuilt a couple of years ago by previous owner. Restoration seems to have been carried out well but I have no idea what was done inside. Everything works ok but bike has not been used since rebuild.

    Cota200 Clutch

Does anyone know of a mod or fix for a very heavy clutch action? Not expecting one finger action.
  13. "A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link" not saying a split link is weak but the spring clip can come off and you will have doubled the chances of this! Go for it, no problem.
  14. Just make sure that the chain is not tight when the swinging arm is at full extension!
  15. With the bike supported, remove the rear shocks and raise the back wheel until the swinging arm holds the wheel furthest away from the engine sprocket. Adjust the wheel so that there is a small amount of chain slack. When the wheel is lowered back down and shocks put back on, the tensioner will take up the extra slack. Take note of the gap between rubber pad and swinging arm and set to this distance when wheel adjusted.
  16. My 200 has 10/42 sprockets but seems quite high geared. What do others use?

    Cota 200 Age?

Has anyone got a build date for a Cota200. Frame number 29M02412
  18. Minimum weight would cover pre65 and twinshocks. Easy to check as well.
  19. Well done chaps, keep up the good work!
  20. I have just weighed both and they appear to be the same! What have I actually paid for?
  21. I've had the Delkevic header fitted for about a month and all seem good. Very light, fitted perfectly, looks good.
  22. If the disc lines up with the caliper as it should then it must be the rim pulled off centre with the spokes.
  23. I think the 'dual purpose' bikes like Honda Tlr's benefit from geometry tweeks as they were always intended as Trail bikes, not built for competition.
