  1. Lots of YouTube vids on how to
  2. If you give a general idea of your location in sure someone will have suggestions.
  3. I've been using tescos finest e10, 50:1 with octane booster in an 1985 rotax with no issues. It does have a modern ignition and newish carb, and runs very well. What problems are you having with modern petrol ?
  4. Compared to discs, drums are generally poor, but, usually more than adequate. They do take more maintenance to work at their best. Twin shocks are slightly heavier, but way more fun, IMO. Costa Brava twin shock trial is next weekend, with several hundred entries, worth considering what the appeal is 😎

If you're in the UK Richard Allen would be worth contacting.
  6. You sound like a spoilt 13 year old.

  8. Glenlomond is a very good pay to play not far, if you can't find anything.
  9. IRC front is very good too. (whatever you put on, you will notice a massive impoverishment over old dunlops) As above, tube type IRC rear works well at 5.5 psi.
  10. I'm on my second Hebo with built in visor, essential in my opinion. Instantly available for branches, flying stones on tracks driving rain etc

    Half Helmet?

Which half of your head ?
  12. Or, get your father to build the ultimate bike πŸ‘
  13. All the complexity of water cooling, then it runs at too low a temperature πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  14. Agreed, defiantly no gears or clutches in an automatic transmission πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

    Swm Rebuild Manual ?

Does it shift easily with the engine off ? If so, probably just clutch drag. What oil are you using, atf improves the smaller rotax's, plus a bit of technique 😁
  16. Peel the grip back and check what colour the tube is. Black slow, white fast action
  17. Defiantly join a local club, Cumberland County would be worth considering, lots of knowledgeable helpful people. Cycle trials skills seem to transfer pretty easily, so should give you a head start in your (evolutionary 😁) process.
  18. Whilst some manual gearboxes do use transmission fluids in place of gear oil, the same cannot be said for putting gear oil into an automatic transmission. Gear oil is much too viscous for these systems and will cause clogging between components. Interesting read πŸ‘
  19. Educate us, please. A comparison of loads on an automatic 40ton truck v's the loads going through a 70kg bike would be interesting.

    BSA B40

Mine has the frame no on the front, left hand engine mount. (It was a wd model)
  21. Adjustments made by altering the shims / oil weight. http://www.rockshocks.co.uk/shims-category/
  22. If you're in the uk, Google / Facebook Richard Allen.
  23. Ambient temperatures on the day ? Heat shield between manifold and carb ?
