Has my mother been out on her R1 again ! Told her not to until she gets her air jacket. (UK doctors, between puffing their cigarettes and slugging whiskey, have recommended that motorcyclist should wear an air bag type jacket. This would cut down on fatalities caused by c-dif on admission to hospitals)

I always ran my rotax at 32 : 1 conventional 2 stroke oil. Many will recommend synthetic, but for a younger rider the advantages are debatable. Main bearings etc, in my experience last a lot longer.

Have you seen the catchers in hill climbs, 1000cc bike, 5ft long swing arm, paddle tires, somersaulting down the hill. Health & safety ?

Wasnt a Sherco, but found the floats / needle would stick when left of several days. Made a point of putting on the petrol before I got changed and tapping the float bowl.

My brother had a pair if wheels with titanium spokes (racing cycle) very strong and light, but didn't like shock loads, as he found out.
This was at least 15 years ago, and I haven't heard much of this material being used in that application since.
