I've a vw caddy sdi the gasser fits in on the diagonal with the bulkhead fitted and there's still space for all the gear plus it goes well for a donkey, i'd plump for an L200 or navara etc rather than a van
I'm told L200 have engine problems at approx 30K miles.
I have been using a 50:1 mixture of full synthetic oil (Mobil 2T) in my Suzuki RL250 for a couple of years without any problems. Back in the old days when people just used 30 weight motor oil we would mix at 20:1 - but these old oils were not as good as the modern synthetic oils and needed to be mixed that way to properly lubricate.
The old oils seemed to stick to the bearings for longer, even leaving for months at a time seemed to cause no problems.
That photo looks like corrosion. Especially as its around the perimeter of the pump housing and has traces of coolant/crusty stuff in it. Cavitation will usually be around the impeller area and quite clean. Nothing to do with boat propellers!
Cheers,
Stork
Boat propellers don't suffer from cavitation ! I think you'l find they do.
T I should point out that a flywheel puller is a good tool to have, hammering the flywheel off is fraught with danger - both to the flywheel itself and the main bearings and crankshaft. Available cheaply from any bike shop.
I would just like to comment on the appalling level of grammar, spelling and punctuation by the contributors to the forums. Whilst the views aired are frequently informative, entertaining, humourous and enlightening, all too often the essence of the post is lost by how it has been written.
I can feel "egg on the face" if I've missed a spelling mistake!
Your not confusing T C with the Guardian by any chance ?
When I did training at Meadowbank, every session started with running up and down the grandstand, ie up and down every set of steps, then round the terraces. As we got fitter the warm up was double. Lots of reps, lighter weights. Try to balance opposing mussels (not sure of terminology) Used to see bodybuilders with curly arms from concentrating on their bisepts. (sp ?)
So if you stop and lean against a tree, then providing the feet are still on the pegs then that's a clean too?
Pedants corner says - footing will be considered to have occurred if the rider benefits from any part of the riders body or any part of the machine (with the exception of the tires or the sump shield) touches the ground or an obstacle (tree wall etc) without stopping the progress of the machine.
