  1. That photo looks like corrosion. Especially as its around the perimeter of the pump housing and has traces of coolant/crusty stuff in it. Cavitation will usually be around the impeller area and quite clean. Nothing to do with boat propellers!

    Cheers,

    Stork

Boat propellers don't suffer from cavitation ! I think you'l find they do.

  2. I would just like to comment on the appalling level of grammar, spelling and punctuation by the contributors to the forums. Whilst the views aired are frequently informative, entertaining, humourous and enlightening, all too often the essence of the post is lost by how it has been written.

I can feel "egg on the face" if I've missed a spelling mistake!

Your not confusing T C with the Guardian by any chance ?

  3. When I did training at Meadowbank, every session started with running up and down the grandstand, ie up and down every set of steps, then round the terraces. As we got fitter the warm up was double. Lots of reps, lighter weights. Try to balance opposing mussels (not sure of terminology) Used to see bodybuilders with curly arms from concentrating on their bisepts. (sp ?)

  4. Anybody seen their adverts ? The reality is very different, in a recent customer pole they rated lowest.

An AXA customer wrote my car off 2 years ago in March, he pulled out a drive into the side of me, open and shut you would think.

Now going to court, or it would if AXA would stop changing the address to serve the court papers. Every change of address adds weeks.

Might be worth checking customer satisfaction ratings before parting with hard earned folding.

  5. So if you stop and lean against a tree, then providing the feet are still on the pegs then that's a clean too?

Pedants corner says - footing will be considered to have occurred if the rider benefits from any part of the riders body or any part of the machine (with the exception of the tires or the sump shield) touches the ground or an obstacle (tree wall etc) without stopping the progress of the machine.

  6. YES! foot still on pegs, cant be classed as anything else really

I thought that any part of your body (leaning against trees etc) is a one or more. Toes on ground whether the rest of the foot is on the footrest, still a one, or two etc.

Its when riders argue / question such a point that some observers say, enough's enough. Many trials I got to you see people who used to observe, walking round, while club riders have to give their ride due to shortage of observers.
