    Advisory

A boy asks his granny 'Have you seen my pills Gran, they were labelled LSD?' Granny answers: 'F**k the pills, have you seen the dragons in the kitchen?'
  2. The TL125 had many faults, but it was my first bike, got it new from Edgar Bros in Edinburgh. Had many many hours of fun on it. It was very economical, even with lowered gearing, and nice and quite, enabling me to go places where I shouldn't have been. Have never been on one since, mostly because I think it wouldn't live up to the rose tinted memories ! 60t sprocket improved it off road, but made little difference on road !

    06 Crack...

If anyone watched Charlie Boorman & Ewan MacGregor when they got a BMW welded the ABS etc didnt work afterwards because they didnt disconnect the various electrics ! Gas Weld ?
  5. Has anyone tryied the B40 alloy silencers advertised on this e-bay site ? http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Race-Supplies-Dir...5QQftidZ2QQtZkm
  6. Did anyone practice in Blackford Quarry (completly off limits now) probably late 70's early 80's ? It was a great place and very popular at the time. If the name sounds familiar to some , its situated on Blackford Hill , on the opposite side to where the SSDT finished before it moved completly to Fort Bill.
  7. In my humble opinion, its got to be the modern 2stroke oil. I have a 20 odd year old bike, head has never been off it. Run it on 32:1 old fashioned 2 stroke, yes it does smoke a bit, the rest of the problems reported when using these ratios of oil just dont matter to me.
  8. Are both bearings the same ? if so take one as a sample and the bearing shop should be able to match it for you. Personally I would use a grinder (very carefully) if the bearing is well siezed.

    Sherco Wheels

pink - if you care toooooooooo mutch
  10. [ I've swapped front rims in the past by taping the new rim to the old with all the holes lined up. Slacken the spokes right off, then move the spokes across one at a time, doing the nearest side first. No doubt someone will say if this is not possible with a rear.
  11. My cheque and entry form were returned 7 days ago as entry full, if this helps.
  12. Have you checked to see it there is any chrome left in the hubs ? As you will probably remember it had a habit of flacking off, in the UK environment anyway.
  13. Trials should replace the horsey sports in the Olimpics, at least all the bikes could be the same, so only the rider would count. (this should offend a few)
  14. Mike - your lucky to get an entry, how long ago did you enter ? Ross
  15. The Chinese dont enter a market to fail ! Try looking at any of your household goods, clothing, shoes, furniture etc. They are coming of age. I would wait for any problems in any new product to be rectfied before buying. Residual valves might be a problem.
  16. Ride and practice as often as time allows and you will lose weight, gain muscle, improve heart & lungs, be able to eat more with no penalty, and all while having fun. Why doesnt everybody do it ?
  17. You dont mention how much cheeper it is over stock ? Personaly it would have to be considerably less to take the risk, unless I knew and trusted the dealer, and even then I would be checking the small print in the warranty. Also, any new bike that I had to consider adding flywheel weights / base gaskets etc ! Might be better options.
  18. Hi John Unfortunatly I will not be able to tell anyone of the fantastic Highland Two Day Trial, as I have just received my entry returned after 2.5 weeks as trial now full ! Regards Ross
  19. Somebody will give you specific info, but I imagine there will be a drain scew at the bottom. Remove and gently pump forks to eject oil.

    Day Light Mot

Youve probably got your MOT by now, but for what its worth, thighten the cables right up till there is vitually no play. I dont clean the braking surface in the hubleaving it to go rusty, crude but improves the braking enough to pass !
