You're not the only 1 with the same problem, I see Royal Mail's website is saying they've had a cyber attack but it's certainly taking a long time for them to get sorted out again

We regularly send packages to family in the Falklands, recently sending by sea is quicker than royal mail air !!!

. Also which spark plugs are people using it has a bp7es currently in it which is not standard, will there be a reason for this.

People sometimes mistakenly thing a 7 will run hotter than a 5, to reduce carbon build up.

  3. Something like 90% of injury in trials is to the lower legs, good boots plus shin and knee protection are a must IMO.

If your going to Drumcarrow today, there are usually a couple of guys there who sell boots.

Also look up Murdo Macphail on Facebook, he often has second hand boots, and also budget new boots.

    Hello all,

I have just bought a 2009 Beta 250 two stroke (with the updated frame).  Never had a trials iron before, but not new to off roading, having raced moto-x, enduros etc back in the day.

Kind of bought the bike for a bit of fun, and possibly some competition.  I belive the Dunfermline club is fairly active, and is local to me.

Anyway, just saying hello before hitting you with a load of newbie questions...

Another club to consider is east neuk wobblers, great for starting out riders. They have a trial this Sunday at Drumcarrow, worth a visit. (Its fairly exposed at Drumcarrow, so plenty of clothes if your spectating )

Not much interest, to be honest - although it is still available as a working app for both ios and 'droid. Probably I'm way ahead of my time 😉

I directed most of my energy recently into developing a nice online results system - trialmonster.uk - which you might want to take a look at. Quite a comprehensive system with only the tip of the iceberg showing to regular users. It will, however, interface with the apps and accepts scores as they are uploaded.

I think in general since CV-19 and other worries, trials participation has shrunk quite a bit and probably needs a kickstart to get going again.

Costa Brava trial last weekend had hand held devices. Each riders number also had a bad code, at the end of the section it was scanned, their score entered and presumably transmitted live.  Speak to some one who was there , or the organisations more info.

" For "lovely interesting engineering and character": Bultaco, Ossa, SWM. (Bultacos are coolest) "

SWM's aren't really of the same generation as Bultacos etc, very successful bike in its day, very good quality components, generally cheaper now than others mentioned, no idea why. Most parts available at reasonable prices. No real flaws if maintained, unlike virtually all the other makes mentioned.

b40rt, TY350? Did I miss type in the above post? The surgery I had was for cataracts, vision is still a bit blurry, so maybe I did, though I did not see where.  If I did, I meant TY250  If not explain please. Thanks LaVern

Maybe the flywheel you have is from a TY350 ??

Hi all, looking to build up a B40 and need some new hubs. Quite like the look of the billet hubs, where is the best place to get them? I’ve heard they can differ depending where they come from.

Gerry Minshall is one of the best sources for many pre 65 parts. Look him up on Facebook.
