I'm looking for a really good chain for the project HT5 I'm building, I'm using a 520 chain so there should be few options out there.
What do you recommend?
-
Thanks, looking to get some really neat fixings for the project.

I'm trying to tidy up the oil unions going into the inner timing cover on an HT5 replica.
Can someone please let me know the size and thread used for the unions that go into the timing cover?
The original part numbers for the unions are 5890-35 (taken from the Draganfly web site)
Thanks

Just building some new wheels for the Matchless, and have a couple of questions.
What's the best type to go for WM2 or WM3 and should I go for the heavier TC type given the wieght of the bike or will a set of TR's be OK?

First attempt and I finished (only just). This was by far the hardest event I've entered. Really pleased I entered and will do again, falling off between sections is great to take a breather and believe how great it is to be part of it.
Thanks go to, Albert (from Spain) without him I would have been minus a decomp lever, the lovely Doctor in Kinclochleven for stiching me up (thank god I put on clean boxers), long story but always be careful cutting cable ties. Russ Jones for the lift back to the digs on Saturday night.
Last but but not least my bestest mate......... 25 years this year

I'm struggling to get hold of some alloy brake shoes for the Matchless (.. and AJS) WD hubs, has anyone ever tried to modify a set from another model to fit?

Any thoughts on the ideal length, is there a magic number?
Just in the process of building an Ariel short stroke and was just wondering if there was a figure to aim for. I seem to have a figure of 52 inches or is it 50?

Thanks, I'm on the same page. I've made a few enquiries and am working with someone at the moment to get electronics in a Lucas mag, it's coming along well but will take time. I think I'll stick with the Lucas at least until the prototype is ready hopefully the weather will improve it can't get much worse than the snow, rain, sleet we experiencec during the March Hare.
-
So, I'm getting to the point where I feel the need to invest in an electronic mag for the old girl, especially as the rest of the factory team has taken the leap.
What do people think of the BTH electronic mags, I hear they now have a new model for off road use which allows the guts to be mounted up out of the way of mud and water?
Are there any alternatives to the BTH?
Please send me a message if you'd prefer, cheers all

Has anyone tried one of these new carbs from AMAL yet, if so how do they perform?
I need to get a carb sorted for the new Ariel 500cc short stroke project and was wondering whether to go with one of these rather then spend ages tweaking a Villiers.
If anyone has tried one of these on an Ariel, any chance you could let me know the jetting?
Thanks all

Thanks all, sprocket from Talon ordered, plus a special being made for 19 tooth. By the way a very helpful company to deal with.
-
I gave Talon a call today and they couldn't find it in their latest catalogue, do you know if this was a special, do you have a product id for sproket?
-
Does anyone know where I can get a 19T 520 (5/8, 1/4) for a Burman GP gearbox, or will I have to get the grinder out? Thank
-
Hello, can anyone let me know where I can get a white fron mudguard for a TYZ 250 as well as the mudguard stay which acts as a fork brace? I'm after new ones if possible. Many thanks
-
I always enter those, and got the Zona One trial this weekend.
-
If there were more trials like this the bikes would be out.
Trouble is you can't really enjoy yourself on the big machines at the trials that have been setup for B15's, Bantums and Cubs :-(
-
Who's going to the Talmag on Sunday? I really looking forward to it :-)
-
Does anyone know where I can get hold of a fibre glass cover for a primary drive cover? I'm looking for one with a flat bulge (if that makes sense) at the crank end?
SM Products sell some but they have a huge round bulge on their ones. Thanks
-
I use a diaphram clutch and it's perfect :-)
