  1. Got home tonight to a large box from the Trials Shop !! :) , and a small box from RYP !( some S3 hardrock pegs for my old feet , the OE pegs are pretty skinny .)

Got some work to do this weekend :) Time to take her apart ...............

Parts are here!!!!! Yay!! Time for some quality time in the garage.

  2. That's good to hear it's back up and running

Too bad it required a total wipe

My older boys are in an IT and Network program and was helping a family friend with computer problems :stupid: After much :wall: it was sadly decided to do a re-install. Computer owner was less than pleased.

  3. Cheers Zippy for the approval of my comment, I hope when you next see one under water (not yours) you will laugh.

The chrome frame realy does look like what I said :icon_salut:

I did skillfully place one of bikes onto the bottom of a Canadian stream once. Sucked water into cases, popped out the spark plug, turned bike upside down and pumped out the water, cleaned air filter with some 2 stroke fuel and finished the event.

I will surely laugh if I see another one do that, after making sure the rider is OK of course.

  4. HAM

Maybe some DHMO got into Copes machine, we should have it tested ASAP :hyper:

Billy are you Taking the pi$$? Maybe that is what got in Copes pooter? Wouldn't that then be DHMO with added minerals? Making it a Super DHMO performance enhancer?

    Works for Bear Grylls :stoned:

  5. Who's going to be riding in Tennis E in the new Guest Class? It looks like anyone can who pays the entry fee.

    From TTC site:

New for 2013 is a 5th class called “Guest”. The Guest Class will allow for a greater number of American riders to participate in the Trial World Championship. This 5th class requires the rider to be on a 125cc bike (or larger, per request) and ride the green line. This will allow riders who are not looking for World Championship points to compete with their international peers.

So now if you would like to participate in the “Guest Class” You can send the FIM a request to ride larger than a 125 CC bike!

    http://trialstrainin...blog/post/3629/

Able to ride a larger than 125cc bike is for the better.

I am glad to hear that is a possibility.

    My reasoning is this.

Most people that will ride the guest class are "club" level riders that already have a bike and generally over 125cc. These riders are going for the "Once in a lifetime opportunity" of riding in a World Round and don't have the resources to purchase/rent a 125cc bike or have one available to borrow. Also these riders will not be familiar with how to ride a 125cc (yes way different than bigger bore bikes) and this may get them into trouble in the section and potentially cause injury.

In My Opinion it is a good decision to have the option of at least requesting being allowed a bigger bore bike that would basically be that riders "normal trials bike" that they ride.

Hopefully the FIM honors these requests. (I know under 18yrs old have specific rules about engine size and the FIM will be taking that into consideration. But for the adults: Let em ride whatcha brung)

  6. First of all I apparently stutter when I type. The double "and". :)

I may have misunderstood some of the posts, but the impression I got from the comments like, but can he win the SSDT? was to mean that the 13 world titles mean nothing compared to a SSDT win. That was the "vibe" I was getting.

Yes the SSDT is a trial but run under different rules and platform. (No stop and uses roads long distance). Therefore in my mind a different type of event. Yes, if Bou competed and won the SSDT it would prove be is also the best at No Stop (but if he wins the outdoor this year won't that prove the same thing). Bou competing in the SSDT would be a good thing for the sport.

  7. OK I will throw in my 2 cents here.

Toni Bou is the at the moment holding the most WTC titles (Outdoor and Indoor added together)

Congratulations to the man for this achievement.

Now for people to sit at their keyboards and and say things along the lines of " Oh that's great and all, but can he win this other type of event" Which is similiar to " Oh sure he is great at trials but could he win at Enduro"

great way to diminish his achievements and Just makes you all sound like jealous little brats in my opinion.

He set out a set of goals and has achieved them, and these goals are so far out of reach for the rest of us we should be in awe of his talent and dedication. This actually applies to the "Old Guys" riding WTC and the "New Crop" of riders emerging in the WTC.

  8. It's really just a guideline so I have reference to the mass of wires that I can eliminate ...

And the forks will be fine , The tubes are flawless that I can see and I'm just waiting on the Ariete fork seals to show , along with a bunch of other stuff...

I see, you are in the "all agitated and wanting parts to get here so you can get it all done" phase of the project. I think I am purpetually in that phase

  9. IMG.pdfI know the go up and down ... But are they supposed to drip ? The info on them is on it's way ... And I spent the afternoon making a streamlined wiring diagram from all my translations ... minus lights, horn etc... Look at it and see if you think it's correct ...

I would think dripping is a bad thing. Good luck making them leak free

At first glance I would say wiring diagram is good but I don't do so good on paper. I am more of a follow the wire to where it goes kinda electrician.

  10. Easy fix, pop cover of master cylinder, push the pistons all the way back into the caliper until they bottom out flat. re install on bike and pump the lever until the pistons come out and compress the pads onto the disc. Maybe they just need to be "forced" to move a bit.

Extreme fix would be romove brake line and split the caliper. Use compressed air to "POP" the pistons out, ( careful they will fly!!) inspect and replace seals and pistons if necessary or re lube everything with brake fluid and put it all back together.

  11. Thanks Mr. Neutron,

We may have been technically inside but there was plenty of ventilation and zero heat. But NO SNOW!!! that was the main thing.

(If you click on "Moving Pictures" in the top there are more videos. Not all are riding trials. WGASA is a lifestyle!!!)

OH and I banged my header pipe on top of one of the "walls" at The Warehouse and put a small dent in the bottom of the curve. :crying:

Been curious about something .............. How's Goddard doing?

  12. The other thing is how this is going to sell more bikes. Its like potential new riders saying "WOW! They are not allowed to stop! Amasing! i have to get me a trials bike to try this!"

    Cheers from Norway

    -Jan

Or they will think "why buy a new bike when I can go ride the trails and not stop on my existing off road bike" or " I may as well go ride Endurocross, already got an off road bike, just need to throw a couple obstacles in the way"

  13. Hey StevieGasGas,

Welcome to trials and to Trials Central.

Yep the fan should cycle on and off periodically, if the fan stays on or stays off then you will have a problem.

Sounds like if you give the HT lead a little squeeze with some pliers it should tighten up the end of the lead onto the sparkplug.

    Ride it and have fun!!

  14. Last nite I got all the info for the section in a email from Chris from the French fantic club . Still not quite all the info I want/need , but at least I got a wireing diagram for it so I can streamline it without quessing .... Still need more info on the paoli forks ...

    Back to work now !

    Glenn

That's cool you got more info to make life easier.

About the Paoli forks.......They go up and down :hyper:
