Well she let's me go to Indiana once a year, and (Here's the big one) I am allowed to visit a foreign country TWICE a year. Although it is our neighbors to the North, CANADA!!! so it is kinda like just going to the next state over.
Did you know that if you ignore the sight of the Border crossing the rest of the country looks just like the US! Freaky as Hell ain't it!?

I could do the discount thing.....I will be generous even, for the $15 entry fee a rider can pick up all the 3's and 5's they want.
Cleans = If I then I probably would give everyone quite a few.
Good to hear you have the work thing to keep ya busy between events. "A job is not your life, but rather what you do so you can live" (and pay for trials) I bet if you flew over for the day we can find you a bike to ride the Bent Fenders event.
-
Cleans are $20
1's are $15
2's are $10
3's are $5
5's are free
of course these are just "Donations" to the Zippy New Bike Fund.
I need to find a Laz-E-Boy recliner so I can sit on my in comfort.
Should be a good time as always

At first read I was a bit perturbed, ya know the impulsive "Hey our rider can do anything" Macho Bravado thingy, but after thinking logically.... while I believe he has the skill for it, but whether it is not enough $$$$ or not enough ambition to continue the WTC that would mean he does not have what it takes. Because in all honesty it takes all 3, The Skill, The $$$ and The Desire.
I think we should send Biffsgasgas out for the remainder of the rounds. He may not place well, but I know for damn sure he would be entertaining. I will gladly volunteer to be his minder.

All Snarky comments from me to Dabster put aside.
It is nice to read that.
I also would have enjoyed watching Pat's attempt at WTC Champion.
-
If it were Motocross, Freestyle, Roadracing, or some other speed motorcycle racing there would be tons of money and publicity. Trials is a small niche sport in Europe (where it started), it is even smaller in the US.
-
GO PAT GO!!!
Great Job by Pat and his crew.
-
Hey whatever gets you off man, but honestly you do not need to share with the entire world.
p.s. It is spelled "fetish"
-
No Sam say it ain't so...............Sam's Trials Compound just ain't the same without Sam!!
Wait a minute........on second thought if you go to this other event then you won't see me drinking all your coffee up whilst you are away!!!
-
Great now we have sidestand envy.....................It's all genetics, it can't be helped.
-
My bike has gotten quite comfortable just laying on it's side on the ground..........seems that is it's natural position.
-
I will most definitely enjoy coffee with the most gracious of hosts at Sam's trials compound. Breakfast will be the chef's choice as I will be in no position to place any demands.
As far as Biff taking his bike with him..........
At least if he leaves it with us he knows it will be around...........somewhere.
-
I always remove the side stand. It just gets in my way and it reduces the weight a bit by removing it.
-
Sam,
Are you beating the crap out of that pretty Sherco of yours?
If you are going to spend the money on a spare rear rim and all that, I would suggest getting the montesa rim (DID?). Plus side no rim tape to deal with and if you break a spoke no need to remove the tire to replace.
-
I do miss the pictures that were of Barry.....classic offs by that man.
-
Ed Logan?
Has a cub but I don't think it smokes much.
-
The MOTA club is still alive and well. MOTA
We have a pretty good series with events in Michigan, Indiana and Ontario.
Dick DeBolt is still very active in trials, riding and organizing.
Bob Hopkins is another name I recognize from when I was a youngen.

Sorry Hoggle I just could not resist a bit of editing. Do realize it is all in good fun.
Now this may explain why I wear glasses.

As a side note I have a 2000 2.9 that I use Maxima 75wt Motorcycle Transmission Lube. I change my oil once or twice a year. I have not had the clutch plates stick at start up, always been a nice smooth clutch operation, no slippage. (maybe the plates are just old and don't hook up like they should)
Filling it back up takes a little bit of time, I lean the bike over against my workbench at roughly 45degrees. I have a funnel with some silicone tubing that I use, Takes a bit for it to flow into the bike, but with the tubing attached to the funnel I can stand up and not be all hunched over.
The following is just my opinion and may be subject to fact verification by someone who actually knows.
I don't like the idea of using automatic transmission fluid in a gearbox. The ATF is a hydraulic fluid used for pressure applications not for its lubricating abilities. Inside a gearbox lubrication is way more important than pressure abilities. And a Gear Lube that is designed for motorcycle wet clutches is designed for just the purpose that I am using it for.

But at least you are able to do one of them really well...................I can't play guitar very well anymore or ride very well.
This should be a good time, Sam your event is always a great way to kick off the MOTA season. Great property, Good fun, Wonderful people to hang out with, and excellent weather..........(Well most years there was that cold rainy year, but we won't dwell on that)
-
Aw CRAP!! I spent so much time trying to learn to ride I forgot everything I thought I knew about playing guitar.

But how were you able to settle the most important argument...............Coffee or Tea?
It's great that the trials community does look out for each other even at the world level.
