  1. The rear fender might be 2002. It certainly is not 2000 like the rest of the bike.
  2. Thanks for the info Clive, and Just riding that thing is manning up to the challenge.........................Although 4th would be faster But with 4th would you lose some of the low end torque for getting up an obstacle with little or no run at it? So maybe 4th in the longer straights? Curiosity and the cat ya know.

    Sherco Sherpa T

My 2000 had the thumbs up logo on the flywheel cover or was it the Clutch cover............that is until the sticker fell off. But there was no actual "Bultaco" written on the machine. I may not remember too well as the bike has had many graphical changes.

    Two Fer

Lawyers have ruined it. And all the "read between the lines" crap. example. "The rules don't say you can ride between those two trees with outside boundary markers make a trail ride loop and come back into the section between those same trees without crossing your path" "OH" says rider who just did that "But the rules don't say I can't either" Problem is nobody likes a 5, so many will argue any arbitrary point they can to get out of a 5. yep failure sucks no matter the reason, that is why you have multiple attempts at the same sections, so you can improve. Ride better and you will place better. the Two fer may not be an entirely bad idea. But how do you keep the difficulty low enough for the newbies that want to try out the sport and challenge the middle riders?
  5. Hey No Jive, Good showing, sure looks like fun and tiring... Never having raced MotoX or Enduro or such......Did you choose a gear and just stay with it, or did you shift gears depending on the section of track?
  6. Will you cover air fare for me to pop over from this side of the pond??? I may have trouble drinking the 15 pints as I never was much of a drinker. But all the food requirements and Body Mass Index I got those beat easy.
  7. Are you Huffing again????? I thought you quit that. (just slinging some poo your way)
  8. Good to hear he is released from the hospital and on a good path to recovery. Hope this does not steer him away from riding trials. The youngsters are those who will keep the sport going. Very important: If he is anything like 99% of trials riders, somebody will need to make sure he lets himself fully heal up before riding again. I know that is easier said than done because the first day ya feel good all you can think of is getting back on that bike.
  9. A dentist noticed that his next patient, a little old lady, was nervous, so he decided to tell her a little joke as he put on his gloves. 'Do you know how they make these gloves?' he asked.. 'No, I don't,' she replied. 'Well,' he spoofed, 'there's a building in Canada with a big tank of latex, and workers of all hand sizes walk up to the tank, dip in their hands, let them dry, then peel off the gloves and throw them into boxes of the right size.' She didn't crack a smile. 'Oh, well. I tried,' he thought. But five minutes later, during a delicate portion of the procedure, she burst out laughing. 'What's so funny?' he asked. 'I was just envisioning how condoms are made!'
  10. Which is the main reason trials helmets don't have the chin protector bar thingy.
  11. Not quite entirely true..........Magnesium GG swingarm "pieces"
  12. I just rewatched it and there are a couple of youngens in there taking a good size fall. Tough kids.
  13. Many Crashes thanks Sergio Bou is in this one as well, even got a spot from the same practice session that started this topic. I am not 100% positive but I think Cabestany smashes his face on a concrete waterfall in that video. Looks like a lot of riders could have had a bad day.........or really close to having a hospital stay.
  14. Just keep Ralph Nader away from my trials bike. Right now it is a mid engine model, if he gets involved it would end up with the engine over the front tire and front wheel drive........and anti-lock brakes, and a seat belt (but no seat.....well that's the safety police for ya)
  15. If the bike has clamps for fat bars than fat bars are great. But if the bike has 7/8" clamps, I personally don't think the benefits of fat bars are great enough to justify the out lay of $$$$$ for new clamps. Some bikes have removable clamps that are easy to change, but my 2000 sherco would require an entire new top triple clamp. Just seems a bit too expensive for the benefits (??? whatever they are)
  16. Any more updates on the lad? Has he come out of ICU at the predicted time?
  17. Wow remarkable how close the regular trials/ open free gate trials debate is to the stop/no stop debate. I think this quote applies to both arguments.
  18. That place looks AWESOME for trials. I am so jealous now.
  19. Just clicking on that "other" website then??? Just shows the frame of mind I am in..............After a well put together post concerning his choices about protection for riding all I can think of is to make a ****ing joke. Notice I neither said I disagreed with tombleds nor agreed. I am not going to promote my reckless choices, oops just did. I personally choose to wear an NZI triflow (think that's it) helmet, gloves, trials boots, ankle braces (due to previous injury when riding in work boots), Knee brace (Doc prescribed said I had to wear it if I wanted to continue to ride and then be able to walk afterwards), Was wearing shorts for a LOOONG time, knee brace kept exhaust away from leg but recently laid bike over and burned other leg on the header pipe. Been a month now and it's just about healed up. I am seriously reconsidering the shorts idea. (Cope here's your opportunity for some razzing). It's a good thing I heal relatively quickly. Basically wear the amount of protection that makes you comfortable. Comfortable with regards to movement, vision, AND just plain psychologically comfortable.
  20. Just remember "Chicks dig scars" At least that is what I tell my wife. Good to hear he is recovering well. Sounds like somebody needs to remind him that "traction is best found using the TIRES, not the face"
  21. An elderly man in Louisiana had owned a large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back. It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed it up nicely with picnic tables, horseshoe courts and some apple and peach trees. One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while, and look it over. He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end. One of the women shouted to him, "We're not coming out until you leave!" The old man frowned, "I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or to make you get out of the pond naked." Holding up the bucket, he said, "I'm here to feed the alligator." Some old men can still think fast
  22. That took you way to long to figure out. Sounds like the "Six Sigma" process of fixing problems. Actually that braking system looks pretty cool. And think about it, as many calipers as you can stuff in there and the amount of braking force could be HUGE. Endo at 180mph anyone???
