An arisol can of brake cleaner from the auto store can be a big help as well, and good to keep on hand.

Are you Huffing again????? I thought you quit that.

(just slinging some poo your way)

  2. Good to hear he is released from the hospital and on a good path to recovery.

Hope this does not steer him away from riding trials. The youngsters are those who will keep the sport going.

Very important: If he is anything like 99% of trials riders, somebody will need to make sure he lets himself fully heal up before riding again. I know that is easier said than done because the first day ya feel good all you can think of is getting back on that bike.

  3. A dentist noticed that his next patient, a little old lady, was

nervous, so he decided to tell her a little joke as he put on his

    gloves.

'Do you know how they make these gloves?' he asked..

    'No, I don't,' she replied.

'Well,' he spoofed, 'there's a building in Canada with a big tank

of latex, and workers of all hand sizes walk up to the tank, dip in their

    hands, let them dry,

then peel off the gloves and throw them into boxes of the right size.'

    She didn't crack a smile.

'Oh, well. I tried,' he thought.

But five minutes later, during a delicate portion of the procedure, she

    burst out laughing.

    'What's so funny?' he asked.

'I was just envisioning how condoms are made!'

    Many Crashes thanks Sergio

Bou is in this one as well, biggrin.gif even got a spot from the same practice session that started this topic.

I am not 100% positive but I think Cabestany smashes his face on a concrete waterfall in that video.

Looks like a lot of riders could have had a bad day.........or really close to having a hospital stay.

At 2.27 , thats deffo gotta be a magnessium GG swingarm ! smile.gif

Not quite entirely true..........Magnesium GG swingarm "pieces" :)

mid engine rwd vs. rear engine rwd

Just keep Ralph Nader away from my trials bike. Right now it is a mid engine model, if he gets involved it would end up with the engine over the front tire and front wheel drive........and anti-lock brakes, and a seat belt (but no seat.....well that's the safety police for ya) :)

  6. If the bike has clamps for fat bars than fat bars are great.

But if the bike has 7/8" clamps, I personally don't think the benefits of fat bars are great enough to justify the out lay of $$$$$ for new clamps. Some bikes have removable clamps that are easy to change, but my 2000 sherco would require an entire new top triple clamp. Just seems a bit too expensive for the benefits (??? whatever they are)

My fingers hurt from typing- I am going to go polish my helmet

Just clicking on that "other" website then??? :)

Just shows the frame of mind I am in..............After a well put together post concerning his choices about protection for riding all I can think of is to make a ****ing joke. :rotfl:

Notice I neither said I disagreed with tombleds nor agreed. I am not going to promote my reckless choices, oops just did.

I personally choose to wear an NZI triflow (think that's it) helmet, gloves, trials boots, ankle braces (due to previous injury when riding in work boots), Knee brace (Doc prescribed said I had to wear it if I wanted to continue to ride and then be able to walk afterwards), Was wearing shorts for a LOOONG time, knee brace kept exhaust away from leg but recently laid bike over and burned other leg on the header pipe. Been a month now and it's just about healed up. I am seriously reconsidering the shorts idea. (Cope here's your opportunity for some razzing). It's a good thing I heal relatively quickly.

Basically wear the amount of protection that makes you comfortable. Comfortable with regards to movement, vision, AND just plain psychologically comfortable.

  8. An elderly man in Louisiana had owned a large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back. It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed it up nicely with picnic tables, horseshoe courts and some apple and peach trees. One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he hadn't been there for a while, and look it over. He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee. As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping in his pond. He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end. One of the women shouted to him, "We're not coming out until you leave!" The old man frowned, "I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim naked or to make you get out of the pond naked." Holding up the bucket, he said, "I'm here to feed the alligator."

Some old men can still think fast

    Zip, you're a dick

That took you way to long to figure out.

    TooFastTim Posted Today, 05:33 AM

I'm deeply distrustful of using $1,000 of technology to solve a $3 problem.

Sounds like the "Six Sigma" process of fixing problems.

Actually that braking system looks pretty cool. And think about it, as many calipers as you can stuff in there and the amount of braking force could be HUGE. Endo at 180mph anyone???

  10. That has got to be difficult on many levels.

For Eric, obviously he is in huge amounts of pain and will undergo surgery or surgeries to repair the damage.

But also difficult for his parents to see their child injured, and siblings (?) to see their brother injured.

I hope that he is able to come out of this alright.

  11. We are easily distracted by shiny things, As a whole the trials population..........OOOOHHH LOOK at that rock!!. Sorry, as I was saying there are..........That bike looks awesome!! OK, Back on track, As I was trying to convey with my previous................OMG look at the rack on that one!!!

OH HELL never mind I am going back to looking at pictures.

  12. Possible that after the rebuild the Gearbox oil and Coolent were just a tad bit over filled and are now evening themselves out. With it only being a couple ml. that may be a real possibility.

If continues to do it and the bike runs odd or performs poorly, definitely would need to be looked at.

    Just my 2 cents.
