Disclaimer: I did cheat a bit, I have a mouse with the little ball inside. Remove ball and use finger to spin the appropriate shaft and viola!!! super speed without mashing hand into keyboard.
edit: upon reading this statement a day later it really sounds a bit lewd.

Next time tell her it is a 'baby' elephant in a petting zoo!!

Hey Cope or anyone else if you're interested in Mountain bikes or park style BMX and happen to be in Ohio check this place out. It is AWESOME!!!
Ray's MTB
Cope I understand the taking longer to heal, I now wear a knee brace when I ride, Damn Osteoarthritis. The brace helps hold the joint apart a little bit so the 2 ends of the bones don't slam into each other as hard. Actually works pretty good.

Would it be Politically Incorrect of my to refer to you as Dumbo? (The loveable Disney elephant with large ears that could fly)
Or should I say that you are auditorially gifted?
Took my boys to an indoor Mountain Bike park in the winter time and they LOVED it. Crashed a couple times, got that out of the way, and back up to go again. I was so proud when they crashed, said OW! and got right back up and hopped on the bike and tried it again.

Flywheel cover-----------------
I just use some silicone gasket maker of your choice. Put some in the groove that the O-ring sits in, put O-ring in groove. If you are really feeling like gooing it up good, put a thin film on the case as well. reinstall.
Seems to work OK on my bike.
HMMMMMMMMm, does this mean that you won't be selling the bike at a bargain basement price to me?
I can't purchase anything right now anyways.
-
I mean no offense TooFastTim, but I think we may have a different opinion of what is fun and lively conversation.
Mine tends to go in the direction of
(Drink Beer, Act goofy, drink Beer, Be stupid, Fall off things, laugh a** off about it)
-
As a kid my dad, brother and myself all had TYs of some size or another (80cc to 300cc), them bikes were darn near bullet proof. We beat on them on a regular basis and just could not kill them.
The simple minded questions are the ones that us inmates here can handle the best.......... because we are all simple minded.
-
I look forward to your visit.
Can we do the slip and fall toward the end of your visit? Hospitals tend to put a damper on fun and lively conversation.

That dude is HILARIOUS!!!
"I've had my scrotum tattooed 'may contain nuts' cuz ya never know"
Hope his lady don't have an allergy to nuts, but if she does at least there is a warning label.
-
Be sure you give it a really good 50/50 paint job.
"looks great at 50 feet away, while traveling 50 MPH"
-
B40RT...............ya beat me to it!!
-
I may just be a pain in the butt Mercan (American) but

First off, I love my country. I am not too pleased with the direction of Politically Correct and Cover Your Ass that we are going in.
As far as the Litigation problems in the US it is a case of "Oh my god I was really stupid, But I can't admit that. so it must be somebody elses fault for not looking out for me. or making sure I was not a dumb ****"
Hardly anybody wants to take responsibility for their own actions. Lawyers were greedy wanting more business, advertise how the "common man" could profit from how the laws are written, Law suits ensue.
It is winter time, if you do not clear your front walk and somebody slips on the snow or ice and gets hurt, they can sue you and win.
Well Holy **** it is winter time, Where The **** do you think the snow and ice comes from??? Pay attention where you are walking you dumb *******!!!!
And the parents of School age Children are making it worse by teaching their kids that it is the responsibility of "everyone else" to make the world safe for them. Better to teach the kids how to pay attention and recognize the hazards.
"Don't blame somebody else for your own stupidity"
Man, I need to calm down.
I too use Chain saws, and various pieces of equipment. Hell, I ride motorcycles, in some circles I am considered a lunatic just for that.
I am not saying I have never gotten injured or made a mistake........but every time that it was my own stupidity or choice of action that caused it I have admitted that it was my responsibility. And believe it or not sometimes it is just an unfortunate unforeseen event that happens, call it fate or just an accident. There is not always going to be one person to point the finger at.
Sure glad I proof read my post, I can't bypass the swear filter and all you would've seen was a lot of *********

Many good manuals here from Wayne
Not sure if those are what you need or you may already know of them.
Engine Teardown, this may be of interest to you
-
You have seen me ride this year? right????
I would have probably placed 3rd out of.......... well 3 riders
I really would have liked to been there, but this year has not been conducive to much riding. Next year will be better!!!! (Because I say it, it makes it so)
-
does that mean the bike will get to the crash before I do............OR will it reverse out of the crash before it happens?????
HMMMMMMM makes one wonder.
-
Wow, saw the results and the 2 ADV riders that were there had some pretty high scores.
Is that because it was a super difficult day for that class or are we (myself included) current ADV riders that bad?
-
I am interested!!! But my MRS. is NOT.
-
I see in the literature for the Access it is billed as a "Entry level bike", Hell from what I have seen it is all 2009 parts except forks, triple tree, bars, pegs, and side stand.
Well side stand gets taken off right away so that don't matter.
My 10 yr old Paoli forks work good now, so a brand new set should work better.
Triple tree, as long as it holds the bars and fork effectively well they good to go.
7/8 bars work good just don't look as cool, big deal.
Steel pegs they work better than the cast aluminum ones I have seen on the 06/07? bikes new from Sherco.
So in my opinion,
The Sherco Access is a competition ready motorcycle for those riding Club level and National Trials (Expert class and lower)
US PRO National Class, European Top National class and WTC riders may notice a difference.
-
Oh and yes the backfiring problem was due to the woodruff key being sheared and the flywheel moving a bit on the shaft causing the timing to be out.
Happened on my Sherco last winter. It was running great during a session of riding. Put bike away and took out 1 week later to ride, would not start and back fired a couple times. I checked the flywheel and the nut was super duper loose. The flywheel was still stuck to the shaft rather tightly but had spun on the shaft enough to mess up the timing.
-
I run 93 octane in my 2000 2.9,
And I know my brother's 2003 2.9 will NOT run on race gas, only takes 93 octane.
One of the reasons I like the Shercos.........Fuel is cheaper to run it.
-
I believe he wants a flywheel holding tool so that upon reassembly he can reliably hold the flywheel in place and use a torque wrench to tighten the nut to the proper torque setting.
I have used a rubber strap wrench in the past. It worked once, but the next time I tried it no go, flywheel just spun.
I am not real fond of the rope idea personally, I just don't like the idea of stuffing something into the cylinder that does not belong there. I also get concerned about stressing the head, head bolts/nuts etc. This is probably an unnecessary worry, but that's just me.
-
I believe the Politically Correct/Ethnically Sensitive Terminology is "One of Asian decent Zap"
-
I will balance my 250 Ninja at stop signs, intersections, etc......(Yes, I have heard it all, not a real bike, a ladies bike.....but the price was right and gas mileage is awesome)
20" BMX bike
Yamaha YFM80 quad up on the 2 side wheels, but can only do that while moving.
Basically if it has 2 wheels a trials rider will try to balance it.
