  1. Hey Borus,

Thanks for thinking of me, I have the same problem as many others this year..........poor economy = less fun. Also have not got a passport yet. I always enjoy the Windsor event, those crazy Canadians always put on a fun event.

OK first off I am in shape.........round

    5'9" tall

    240 pounds

Went to doc. all my vitals........blood pressure, pulse, all blood tests glucose, cholesterol, etc. are all normal

He says "You're completely healthy, just need to bring the weight down."

Now I admit I am not as pleasant to look at as Brad Pitt, but if I am totally healthy than my weight is fine for the functioning of my system.

That is my theory and I am sticking with it. biggrin.gif star.gif

Basically if ya can last the day on the bike and your gut don't get in the way then life is good.

Can you still see your "thingie"?

I think the ability to spot your "thingie" is directly proportional to your health and well being! And if you cannot, then you may be in trouble(just too friggin fat!)

If you must lift something to find it, and that is your daily workout regeme, you may be totally screwed! You need to push away from the dinner table a bit more often! rolleyes.gif

Yep can still find my "thingie" can see it very well, and it works perfectly every time.

Cope you using performance enhancing drugs? (them little blue pills) :)

  3. 9 trials and then replaced rear tire. does not mention how much practice time. # of trials is not indicative of amount of actual riding. Also some replace the rear tire to entice a sale.

HMMM new plastics for a bit of bling, I seem to remember many TC members changing plastics/graphics just for the hell of it and make it more personalized.

I don't know what shock comes standard but if it is a different one now, just think how many TC threads are dedicated to changing to a different shock than stock.

Dellorto carb to soften power....OK so they went the other way than what a lot of Sherco owners are doing, How many Sherco owners are putting on Kehins?

GasGas wheels????????? is their really any difference to standard wheels all I know is monts use a different rim.

Give it a chance, go ride one, then if it performs like crap, well than state it performed like crap. If it rides well than state it rides well.

At least when someone says Gassers have problems with gearbox their is quite a few that did.

and Beta has a carb that p****s like a drunk with bladder control issues at least that has been well documented.

montesa 4 stroke is heavy and complicated.

Sherco has problems with idle and main bearings

Scorpa well they are just odd.

Anyways the list goes on and on.

I have not ridden or seen one in the flesh so therefore I reserve judgment until I do.

The biggest problem I have with the listing is it states "Xispa/Sherco" it is NOT a Sherco. The seller is misrepresenting their bike.

  5. Biff is working on event stuff today so I will attempt to answer the following questions in his absence.

Listen Biff, After last Sunday at Stoney, Brockaway, Myself and dazzling Daryl are ready for any MUD conditions, we had to spray radiators out every loop. That's a lot of mud. Biff LOVES mud.

Are those cute Flattracker girls riding?I hope so, we need more visually appealing participants to offset the rest of us

Will we have a hill side of beer drinking, cheering bikers?Of Course, it just would not be a Bent Fenders event without them

Are you going to have the X-BOX 360 with trials in the Biker lounge? I think that is his plan, not sure if it will happen

Will we see Zippy Doo Da?If you ask nicely I just might..............................now what the hell is a Doo Da?

Ya'll show up and have a good time.......last weather forecast says no rain until after dark. So I hope that holds true.

  6. I have an 86 TLR200 Reflex and a 2000 Sherco 2.9.

The Reflex is a fun machine, I have used it as a spare road bike and a spare trials bike when my main ones have been broken.

Otherwise it sits in the garage.

When I want to ride trials it's my Sherco all the way.

If I want to play on trails or my Sherco is broke I ride the Reflex.

So my 2 cents are If you want to ride trials and really enjoy it and be able to do the hopping and bopping, buy the best modern bike that your finances allow you to.

If you want to ride twinshock and ride with a more smooth fluid style with smaller obstacles get the Reflex.

Also note that while the Reflex is street legal, if you crash off road there will be more items to fix, I.E. turn signals, Lights, etc...

Also not sure what country you live in but in the states true Trials tires are not road legal, so you may find yourself swapping 2 sets of tires around everytime you want to hit the road, or you will have dual sport tires that do not work well for trials.

But whatever you choose, Get out and ride, Enjoy it and never stop!!!! :)

So, does this mean your going to get my bike dirty??

Oh no Don, we are not going to get your bike dirty. We are merely providing the opportunity and materials needed for YOU to get your bike dirty. It is just one of the many services that we at Bent Fenders feel are necessary to provide for a fun and challenging day on the bike.

    :D

  8. wrap bar and throttle tube with electrical tape once or twice (not too much tape)

Slosh a little Petrol inside grips

    Slide them on.

On the clutch side I have started to use a plastic Zip Tie to hold the end of the grip down to help keep dirt, mud etc. out.

I use the plastic because I tried wire. and the wire ends would either cut into my grips or my hand. (I found that to be unpleasant)

Advance We know some of you are new we know some are returning. Zippy made sure you are all going to have fun. we both want to clear the log section but a 1 is very respectable.

As the Lawyers have advised me to say: "I can only state that I had fun in the sections that I rode last weekend."

A couple spots the Throttle is your friend.

It was their 4th time riding the A line.

Good job by all. Best finish ever!

Thanks to all who contributed to the effort. Well done.

Well I guess I need to pay better attention.

  11. Panerai,

Fabulous Pics, I think it is great you are able to do all that engine work yourself.

Hope the bike is performing as you had hoped.

    HUH????

Ya kinda lost me there cope......................Not sure where this ties in. Ya have too many beer.gif Or I may be a bit daft.

    Talking about:

"I currently have this trick led fan on there. I will get her fired up tonight and take a few videos of it running in the dark. "

    --Biff

    AAAAHHHHH.............I see

Umm he never really got around to getting that video before he gave me the fan and I blew it up. So I will take the blame on that one.

but he purchased the same fan I got from Helixparts. but he bought his fan first, (yep I am a follower) But the Helix fan was not a direct replacement for his gasser fan, He had to do some tinkering with it.

Biff will now be totally humbled and fall back into a class where he can actually win! You will get a promotion soon and start making more money than GOD! Which means you have to go ride more in -between golf games!

Biff's mental masterbation will eventually lead to a sore dick! The fortune cookie last night said so!

    HUH????
