  1. First, I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Super Sam for the use of his property. Secondly, I think the cooperation between MOTA and TI for this event is truly great. Thirdly, Yes watching Biff ride is definitely an Exhibition!!! Last year was great fun and I believe the Michiana Club (I think Sam was the only member) did an excellent job with sections and handling the unexpectedly HUGE turnout. This year with planning ahead for a HUGE turnout and with using the TI computer scoring I am certain that the Michiana club (well I think it is still just Sam) will pull off an awesome event. It does sound like there will be a mess of "behind the scenes" stuff, sign up, scoring, computer glitches, etc.... that the rest of us may never see but I say thank you to those that have to deal with that to make a fun event for us. Hey Sam was that enough butt kissing to earn a few cleans?????
  2. Well, learn something new everyday, After a little searching it appears the common belief is that niggard and therefore niggardly are possibly of Scandinavian origin and not associated with the dreadful N-word of Latin origin. I suspect DFWilson may have known this, but chose to use that particular word instead of "miserly" or "stingy" due to its closeness in sounding like the dreaded N-word and the color of our current president. Thank you. How do you know this for sure? You have seen the actual DVDs given to Brown? You have been given an official press report from Obama or Brown to the properties of said DVDs? Fine, I get the point that you feel the gift was "cheap and non-memorable" but my point is if you are going to complain. get the facts straight as to what the gift was. OH yea, Who cares about the gifts????? did they get any work done? What was decided, implemented or instituted that will fix this global economic crisis thingy? I want to afford to go riding again.
  3. It was actually 25 DVDs that Obama gave Brown. So please get your facts straight before resorting to racial name calling.
  4. not sure about the gold but I would have to say that the fork clamps and the frame should be the same color. Whether it be gold or chrome. Would look better in my opinion.
  5. Yep, I usually ride in Windsor with MOTA. I am the goofball riding in black shorts, but I must admit I got the idea from a Canadian member of MOTA. I won't be riding any Windsor events this year, I have no passport to get back into the States. Crossing into Canada has never been a problem but the U.S. is getting much more strict. I have this strange attachment to sleeping in my own bed. So getting back into the States is a must. I think I remember seeing your bike there. pretty sure it was the only Caby there. Funny how we remember bikes and not the riders. I checked out the trials Ontario website thought it was really nice to see the MOTA events in Windsor listed in the schedule. Should help boost attendance. The new passport requirement may cut down on how many come over from the States, we shall see.
  6. Found this in Wayne's Help on the Sherco site. Not sure if it is dual map or not. Probably not. hope it helps, but if not hope I didn't waste too much of your time. Wiring Diagram
  7. OK I have read a little bit about this "Gift giving Snub, fiasco....whatever" Here is my opinion, totally different than anything I have read so far. These 2 gentlemen were to meet and get some work done. They were working, in my opinion NO GIFT was necessary. Why are there gifts being exchanged anyways. Getting the job done is more important than kissing each others butts to try and make nicey nicey. I don't like everybody I work with (oooh big surprise) and I suspect nobody else on here does either, but I still have to work with them. Secondly these gifts were to these two men why does the rest of the world care? Christ this is almost as bad as "needing" to see the photos of a beat up Rhianna. The only thing I care about the meeting between these two is this..........DID SOMETHING GET SOLVED!!!! So let's quit worrying about trivial things that the media seems to believe are important and demand some news about something that is actually important. Anybody know what the meeting was about? Does anybody know what got solved, decided or implemented? Probably not, but by golly the whole ****ING world knows who gave what gift!!!
  8. I get by with the help of my friends and the kindness of strangers............. I was given a pair of Gaerne boots, I am unsure of how old they are, but I have been using them for about 3 yrs, a little beat up but they still work just fine, mostly waterproof, as long as the water stays below the inner "gator" liner thingy. (such technical terms I use ) Only problem I have is something rubs the front of my ankle and wears through the skin, not sure if it is the boots or my ankle braces. quick easy fix is I put band-aids in that spot, no more problem. I am sure if I buy a pair of boots it will be Gaerne. My friend has worn through the soles of his new Novagars in about a season. Have heard Alpinestars are the most comfortable. Have seen a pair of Diadora stones and it looks like there is a tougher section of sole where the footpeg sits. I kinda like that idea.
  9. UUUMMM buy new radiator. I know more expensive but in the long run your brain will thank you for it.
  10. Welcome to the fray, It is a fun place but of course not as fun as actually riding. Enjoy!!!

    125's

Well, that sounds right fiscally responsible, If you need someone to hold onto that money so you don't spend it on anything unnecessary, I am willing to take time out of my busy schedule to do that for you. The Yacht Varnish, is it flexible when dry?
  12. Maybe I will be able to get them out for an event or two!!
  13. HAHAHAHA sorry mate she's all back together now. Good luck with yours.
  14. Does it look like this. This was mine winter of 2007/2008
  15. Yep could be big announcement: FOR SALE 2005 Sherco 2.9 Recent Engine rebuild!!!! Just don't have enough time for it anymore. Make Offer $$$$ Ham2, I am just giving you a hard time, I hope you get it sorted so it works well and is cheap to do also.
  16. HMMMM Gold? tempting, very tempting.
  17. Biff is also a major wizard when it come to powder coat. No decals here it is two tone powder coat, I am very pleased with the outcome. First did 2 coats of white, then used vinyl sticky letters to spell wgasa, spray a coat of black, bake, and sticky letters curled from heat and go bye bye.
  18. As a member in good standing (or falling depends on the section) of Team WGASA I can say with all authority WGASA stands for Who Gives A S*** Anyway If you go riding and place 5th out of 5 (I have quite often) WGASA!! If you can't seem to clean that section WGASA!! If you look silly as hell flying over the bars after your front tire misses the "catch" log on the other side. WGASA!! The whole point is to have fun and live to ride another day.

    1974 Ok. National

Well I guess I am not one of the younger guys but not quite one of the older guys (my kids will say otherwise) I was born in 1973, wow some of those names on the list I know from being around as a kid, Bob Hopkins (did some Demos with him) and Dick DeBolt, some of the riders I heard Dad talk about a lot Lane Leavitt, Marlan Whaley, Bernie Schreiber, and some others I have heard part of their stories here on this site, Wiltz Wagner, Martin Belair, Curt Comer. So for a guy in the "middle" this was really cool to see. Thanks I would hope that there will be continued coverage of the 5 people named "Rider did not finish", whatever happened to them?
  20. And so we return to the Beerhammer.
  21. Sure would be interesting!!!! Wonder if we could do a twinshock and a modern rig? I think we would be the only ones in MI riding sidecar!?
  22. JSE, Thanks for that. Is there any advantage to running it on one side or the other?
  23. Sounds PERFECT!!! Wait are we talking the Adjustable wrench or the adjustable Wench?
  24. I was scouring the picture looking for an aluminum can of Bud with a stick out the side of it.
