    QUOTE (totalshell @ Jan 1 2009, 08:38 PM) *

pack it in.. dont use a drift to squeeze every last bit in but it should be firm

Its done now ... I shoved it in as hard as I could by finger ... its a mid-box I was doing, therefore I had to access it by cutting a hole in the side. I have re-sealed it with a riveted plate - I also slapped lots of gasket silicon around the join to try and seal it ... once it has all dried off I can see if it has been a success!! smile.gif

    Thanks for the advice.

OH MY there are a staggering number of jokes available for that post. Most involving fingers and boxes.

    B)

  2. Take a look here before changing the rim band.

Also this may be worth a look. I personally have not used it but it looks interesting.

Although it is more expensive than it valve stemless counterpart.

Oh I have no ties with that site, just the only place I have seen those items. May be able to get same items elsewhere

  3. You will stop crashing in only 2 scenarios

    1. You are no longer pushing yourself to get better and have become comfortable staying there.

    2. You stop riding. (for most of us scenario 2 is directly preceded by death.)

Now if only the misses will allow me to have my manly bits out of her purse for the next practice session.

  4. boy your tax system sounds confusing.

    oh wait so is ours.

Income tax- state and federal- (penalize me for being a productive member of society and support the lazy *******s)

2 or 3 different taxes on gasoline

sales tax (varies by state, where I at is 6%)

    windfall profit tax (for businesses)

    luxury tax.

"sin" taxes - (special taxes on tobacco and alcohol)

Death and taxes the only guarantees in life.

well enough ranting..........I still ain't gonna move to a new state or country so I guess it don't bother me that much.

No! Not that it would get you to buy one as you are a self admitted tightwad of the highest order rivaling a few other Northerners from this forum! Northern WHAT matters little!

    Any Scottish blood, Zipper? rolleyes.gif

Well, I resemble the Northern part of the comment.

I am actually of French Canadian decent.

Besides nobody wants to see me in a Kilt.

MotoMike has me all hooked up and is sending me one.

I looked at the reflex and its about the same as a cb125 intake which i have a ton of.

My intake is missing the lower plastic shield which would cause the bowl to heat up.

As i was removing it from the head today it crumbled so its time for it to go.

I sent the head to my works machinist who is awesome so we are getting along just great today.

    We will be sorted soon.

Hmm I might want to rethink that "challenge" of ours. :o

Naww!! Can't wait for ya to get it running, cuz I know you will let me take her for a spin.:hyper:

I believe the reason Xispa is having a hard time on this site is because it appears to be a copy, this is unfair on the original company who put their time , effort and money into development.

Well, that opens the door once again to all the comments about Sherco being a GasGas copy when it first came out.

I think that Xispa is having a hard time on this site because there are so many riders that are "die hards" for their brand and don't like anything new.

The other problem is in the advertising and accessibility of a new Xispa. There was an announcement that this new brand is coming out in 2008....oh wait must be 2009 now.......Do we have any bikes to show.......Yep got 1. Should we enter this machine in a high profile event with a high profile rider. Yes they should but did they?

Also in this tough economic time they are probably having trouble getting investors, loans, etc.....

And lastly the prevailing attitude with riders is "Let somebody else buy the first piece of crap and when it gets sorted out maybe I will consider it if it is $4,000 cheaper."

Just some thoughts that bounce around in my head.

  8. A single Potassium supplement everyday seems to help me with "arm pump" and fingers and wrist cramping up.

Ya see alot of trials riders eating bananas, they got potassium.

A couple years ago I came off a 4ft drop with WAY too much gas and landed on rear wheel dern near vertical and then the front tire whipped itself to the ground, kinda "cracked the whip" with my arms. Elbows hurt for 8 months to a year. Tried the little velcro band things on the forearm they kinda helped but not much. I ended up just dealing with it and trying to take it easy on the elbows. Eventually they just got better. I guess that is similar to tennis elbow?

  9. Hey Cope,

What got me thinking was I was admiring the quality of cman's vids he posts here occasionally, I asked what he was using ( Sony HDR-HC7 mini DV) but my quick Google search came back with lowest price about $830 USD.

That radio shack thing may be worth looking into.

What is the model so I can do some research?

Yep SD cards are rather cheap now roughly $15 to $30 depending on all the usual factors. Location, brand, yada yada

    Thanks for the reply,

Hey I could trade you some snow for the camera.

I got about 2 foot deep on my roof alone. Got lots more in the yard!!!
