Sorry, not a clear picture, but the pipe comes from the tank, down through the tap, loops back up through the optional filter and up to the carb.
Never had any starvation problems or kinking of the pipe, are you using proper fuel pipe?
-
Hmmm...can of worms......tin opener.... Sorry.
-
Yeah, exactly! a shelf just wide enough to screw into (or attach clinch nuts in this case) and just use some silicone to help seal it, never leaked yet! flush fitting too so your tyre doesn't rub.
-
Why go to all the hassle of cutting your pipe open round the outside weld and then having to weld the thing back up at great expense, only to repeat the process next time you need to re-pack?
You can get a door welded in the back and fixed with some screws so you can repack as many times as you like for no cost!
Like this........

I have to say, one of the most annoying things for me at trials is when you get kids (usually on 125 Shercos for some reason?) who insist on revving the nuts off their bikes the second they start them up............WHY!!
-
Round 3, 1982, Pately Bridge, Yorkshire.
I don't have facilities for VHS copies at the moment, but will let you know when i get organised again.
-
Anyone got any old trials videos from late '70s to early '80's that they would like to make a copy of? (VHS or DVD)
Probably a bit thin on the ground, i only have 1982 British world round, great haircuts back then!
-
Unmodified bikes!
Are you having us on?
-
Ha! a flaw in the design already.
-
You could have cleaned the tyres!
Looks like standards are slipping
-
Car parks are not the best place to learn to ride a trials bike!
-
No not really, two of my friends have those armstrongs and it's not really similar to those.
-
Surprised HondaRS hasn't been on here already giving us the lowdown, is he ill?
-
Seems like the process for repairing most car body damage these days is just to whack a new panel on.
-
I think if you changed the colour and headlight it would look really nice, seems to have nice lines, i like it!
-
We couldn't afford to pay t'mill owner to flog us to death, so we had to take out a loan from a shark who would extract our teeth with a brick before going to work for 50 hours straight before walking the 25 miles home to sleep in a dip in the road filled with oily water.
-
Good TIG welding is like art, if you know someone who has a TIG set make sure you are very nice to them. Some engineering places charge
-
According to NGK, these are now out of production.
Not sure what the replacement is yet.
-
The frame of the '94 model was unique to that year, if your frame is identical to this one then your bike is definately a '94.
-
Another way is to cut out an access "window" in the back of the tail pipe, and make a plate which you can screw onto the back to cover the hole, this allows regular repacking of your tail pipe without any cutting welding.
-
Im sure that's not right, the older Aprilia TX models had a larger clutch sidecase which held more oil, 1200cc.
After that, they introduced a slimmer clutch casing on the TXR and Climber which reduced the oil capacity to about 950cc, i owned a couple of Aprilias back then and i'm certain you don't put 1200cc in a Climber.
-
-
Actually that's not as bad as it sounds!
-
It goes without saying really not to use car oil in a bike, it even says so in the tech description, i am talking about bike specific full synth.
-
I have been using fully synthetic in my 250 and found the clutch to be more "grabby" than with semi synth, the opposite to what you are experiencing.
Never had any clutch slip though.
