  1. Stalling the bike regularly is a technique or machine setup problem, address that first. You don't need to be throwing marks away simply because your idle speed is too low or your clutch is dragging.
  2. Just be sure to change the oil on the dot, or preferably sooner.
  3. Just needs photoshopping to include a much bigger step!
  4. Isn't Scorpa around twenty years old now?
  5. I found retarding the timing made my 05 sherco easier to start.
  6. Sounds like a full carb strip & clean first.
  7. I fitted a resprayed '98 gasser front mudguard & made sure it was sitting close to the tyre at the rear to it doesn't snag the exhaust (2 stroke)
  8. Careful use of pressure washer, bucket of soapy water & a couple of handy sized brushes. That is all.
  9. Yes but beta never invented the word, so it's got nothing to do with them!!
  10. As above, but I use furniture polish spray with beeswax.
  11. The paint guy wasn't hanging about!
  12. Not as bad as I was expecting! Add a couple of stickers & its ok.
  13. Don't waste money on stickers & tat, put it towards a new bike if that's what you really want.
  14. You haven't cleaned the carb though, which is the first thing to do !
  15. There is a slight difference right at the top end.
  16. Post a picture on here or phone MRS with your frame no.
  17. Are you sure its a 2005? the blue plastics & yellow sherco frame sticker would suggest an older model?
  18. Stator, especially on this model sherco.
  19. Just to add I have had the exact opposite experience to nickc1969. My beta is amazing at grip finding! The point being there is no "best" bike (silly question really) each bike has its own traits which suit different people. Buy the one you like the best.
  20. If the stator is failing (which is very common on these shercos) it may cut out when hot, and restart once it has cooled off slightly. However I would start with a full carb/filter clean & tank flush, then go from there.
  21. Gas Gas you say? All of the above plus maybe a welder
  22. Have you tried running the fuel through?
