Just been looking at the bike and the kick start gear and idle gear are fine, still brand new. Only trouble now is that the kick start WON'T engage now i've put the clutch cover back on. Didn't even fiddle with that! I do think that there is something in the gearbox. The magnet on the filler screw has attracted an awful lot of filings and when i move the bike in gear i can hear an AWFUL grinding. I'm not confident enough to split it myself, so it's going to the shop tomorrow. Another expensive fix no doubt! Already spent

Hi, wonder if anyone out there can help me... My gearbox in my '07 Pro is making some funny noises when running.
I have recently had the kick-start gear and idle gear replaced as the kick-start gear had sheared 2 teeth and cracked the clutch case. All replaced and sorted before the Reeth. During the last day of the Reeth the chain came off and wrapped itself round the front sprocket. All sounded fine for the rest of the day. When washing the bike i noticed that the front sprocket was stopping when i turned it, like it engaged a gear but would spin freely again.
Now there is an unusual crunching/grinding noise from the gearbox. On the stand and in neutral (definately in neutral because it makes the "neutral noise"!) it begins to spin the rear wheel, like it's in gear. Off the stand and again in neutral the bike jumps like it's trying to engage a gear.
Could it be something floating round and binding in the gearbox and how expensive could this be?
Cheers

Well we'll be put out of our misery in september when Shirty releases the prices!
-
Hmmmm, how come TrialsUK have prices but Gas Gas UK haven't released anything yet!?
If they are the correct prices they are very reasonable. I'm in serious consideration mode!
-
Anyone know how much the new bikes are going to cost? Will the extra little features like the titanium front pipe, anodized wheels etc add to last years price?
Cheers

My GG's have never missed a beat. They have been incredibly reliable. General maintanence is essential but it is on any bike. If you take good care of it then it will last you a good while.

No matter what the rivers are like, i'm looking forward to it! it's all good fun isn't it?!

I too don't see why people decide to dodge the

Sounds like they've gone south! Does the headstock creak aswel? Just had mine done, started creaking and moving the other week. never done them myself either so got my dealer to do it along with other things that needed doing.
-
Yes, they do.
This year they had the Indoor Championship Live! Only the final but it was very well done. and i look forward to the same next year. The only one they didn't have live was, i think, Barcelona (prepared to be corrected!) because they ran the trial in the afternoon. It was shown later in the day on Eurosport however!

It slowed it down alot, didn't like it! I prefer to have the power there and ready!

I currently have an 07 300 and i have to say it is the best bike i've ridden. I've found it much better than the 04 250 that i had previous and would love to get a newer version. I have ridden an 09 300, with a flywheel weight, wasn't keen on the flywheel weight and would like to ride one standard! People have been raving about the 09 250 and i have to say it's an excellent bike. Obviuosly lacking the low down grunt and top end of the 300, still very good. What is everyones opinion on the standard 09 300? Would like to upgrade and probably go for the 2010.

haha, brilliant! Thats getting purchased later!
-
Cheers for the reply Gary! Can't wait to get there and see some World Trials!
All the best for the weekend, hope we get some sun!
-
Just wondering if Gary could give us an idea on how big the lap is? Is it an easy walk round?

ENTRIES RECIEVED AFTER TODAY WILL NOT BE GETTING A RIDE!!

Are the Sachs shock absorbers on the GG's repairable? My '07 300's has gone caput! The spring is bunched up at the top and the shock is solid and won't move unless you bounce on it!!!!!
Not looking forward to paying extortiante prices for a brand new one so if they can be repaired i'll be happy!! But then again i might need a miracle!
-

THE SOLO CLASS IS NOW FULL!!
The solo entry fro this years trial has reached full capacity. It was a bit slow this year, maybe due to the current economic climate! We certainly hope so!
You may still send in your entry forms to be placed on the reserve list as you may be lucky. We always have some people pull out!
As far as the sidecar entry goes, we still have alot of places left to fill. The sidecar boys and girls always leave it late so we aren't worrying to much yet!

I think the channel is called Pulse. Not sure what number it is but i've seen american trials on there a few times before. It was a while ago now and it was late at night when i watched it. Quite good i thought. Thinking back i think it was the world round from last year and a round of the american championship when shaun morris rode on the gas gas!
