  1. I have several chunks of 2x4 wood cut up and I place those in between the two beads. Then i leave the tire in the sun. I have broken two of the foam beaders from company x... Not enough soap i think so they get caught. Now i just let the tire bake in the sun pushing the beads apart but unfortunately in winter time i am boned. --Biff
  2. Well come on with it Doc_D let us know what you got. (Not that I already know) --Biff
  3. not wrestling with a stiff tire for the better part of an evening.... priceless...
  4. that would be water in your oil. you sometimes need to run a few changes through the bike before it clears up. if it still happens your losing coolent. --Biff
  5. I was surprised when i heard that Tenneco owned them. Tenneco is a huge automotive exhaust and suspension supplier. Here in the states if you have ever heard of monroe, thrush cherry bomb, walker exhaust or rancho suspension you know Tenneco. They are also hydro forming experts. seemed like bike suspension was small potatoes for them. --Biff
  6. Yea I see your point and I think the Beta model here in North America isn't ideal. I can say that they do have a lot of bikes in the market but when you have a local healthy club who can't get support that is a problem. One thing you can pickup from the Interview is that they value the guy/girl who sells 2 bikes a year as much as the person who sells 25. That tells me that they know that there is an underground grassroots level to this sport that is important. One advantage of having a common importer or one stop shop for all of your needs is cross pollination. One disadvantage that i think we need to be scared about is having someone who doesn't care about anything other than selling a bike for profit. I too have been blessed by seeing healthy clubs with healthy support. We need more of those Peters, Comos, Snells, Lewis, Komers, Baumberts, ect... in this world. We also need to help them lead successful businesses. Hope that these owners can help guide that. --Biff
  7. Beta has kept it same haven't they? Wonder what part's importation will do since they are separate from both trials bikes and enduro bike importation. On top of that the parts importer is coming from a guy who is now importing a competitor bike. --Biff
  8. The guy that runs cobra moto has one of these. The exhaust is orange. It's a sweet ride. Next time I head there I will take extensive pics or just bring a bike on up to hillsdale and ride with us. Awesome opportunity to see a bike manufacture here in the states plus he rides and has trials property. --Biff

    Hitler

Sitting here in Germany and for some reason it's sensored. Weird... --Biff
  10. Been here done this. Called mike at Tryalsshop and it came in two days. Yes current importer doesn't stock this but the old one has everything you need. --Biff
  11. yes newer is always better. --dadoftwo
  12. I red loctite mine. Lose a lever or bolt once and never again. --Biff
  13. Since we get any VAT waived it's really not bad. Definitely offsets the shipping. I get stuff from the uk and Europe all the time. Usually cause it can't be found here. One thing that I find cheaper here is boots. $245 us for a pair of alpinstars isn't too shabby. --Biff
  14. I've got a pair of GP and they did great. Only some practice and one trial but they show little wear. They were cheap too. I ran the rear at 4psi with a ton of rocks and hard hits. --Biff
  15. Up north here they have a prime location. --Biff
  16. Hey now. Being a dad is a great thing. Mine told me I wasn't aloud to ride one time.... Well that didn't really pan out the way he wanted. --biff
  17. Yes this is true. Trialscentral the ultimate dating site. Ha! Glenn we plan on being at trials training days. Will you be there? --Biff
  18. InterwebZ will never help you decide on a bike. You really need to ride it. Even if you decide on a used one I say ride it. The bike will tell you if it's going to work. If the owner rejects well... There's your sign. --biff
  19. In light of recent events. Rip STP. --Biff
  20. Wow great build. Build yourself silicon molds for those other Tricky consumables. --Biff
  21. That is correct. With anything trials related most people don't develop anything unless they think it has a fighting chance to sell. How many aftermarket drop in engines are being developed for other bikes? Possibly something that GasGas commissioned but neglected to follow through on or its the next generation pro engine. Regardless there is a bunch of work in that engine if it actually makes it into the world. --Biff
