  1. Again Jon, I agree spot on! clean it out and see what happens.'

Renegade Master. Just make sure you get all of the slivers of metal out of there. Especially and I mean ESPECIALLY from inbetween the kick start 1/4 gear and the mating gear. The tollarances are so tight here that if you don't it will crack your outer clutch cover as the metal pushes the gears apart.

I would think that the damage to the two strengthing ribs above clutch shaft in the case may have been caused by the wobbling clutch basket (caused by the loss of needles in the hub bearings).

  2. No problemo! Hope you can put it to use. Remember that the heat gun lets it flex and go where you want it... I'M pretty good at handing out "red tape" to my coworkers as well... :)

Get a pic of the family rides up on here!

Glad you and the family are out and about and carrying on that... "Hrmmmmm where should we ride this weekend?" mentality!

Very Pinky and the Brain esq...

  3. I still ride my 2003 300 Old B.A.G.G. (It's got blue plastics) I may eventually get around to posting a pic of her.

But the 03 Gasser is TREMENDOUSLY better to ride than the 2000 Sherco 2.9 I had before it.

I'M just going to put this right here. (he is still getting used to a real front brake...)

  4. Hats off to all the World riders for working with the confusing rules, but don't discount another Super star coming "Out of the Blue"

In 2006 I watched Bou struggle on the REV3 in TN. One section he came up a big rock and it caught the edge. The bike went flying over his head and crashed to the ground behind him. He was fine as was the bike but it was quite spectacular. I thought to my self "Well that guy just found his limit in this sport". Well I have been eating my words ever since. That was one of my "Out of the Blue" moments.

  5. Biffsgasgas was able to get a ride on a JotaGas, and he told me it was really nice, somewhat like having a GasGas engine in a Beta frame.

Yep it was a good bike. Jordi has some work to do on it with geometry and the such but I think once they get a hold and dealership base on this side of the pond you will see more of them.

Ossa on the other hand felt wayyy heavy to me. Rode one in Canada. Not a fan but love the out of the box thinking.

That Beta 4 stroke is like a sewing machine and thanks to Firstgear there are about 6 or 7 of them in Mich now?

They all break. They all compete. Just get out there and have fun on what ever your heart desires.

I am into GasGas too deep frankly. If I changed brands I wouldn't be able to find any clothes to wear. I would have to change all of my passwords and user names. I would have to change my future childrens names. I would not have any coffee or beer mugs to drink out of. I wouldn't have any art on the walls of my house and garage. I would have to remove 80% of the stickers from my car. The post office wouldn't have any reason to visit me. My cat wouldn't recognize what that strange machine was in the living room. I would have to throw out the video collection. My girlfriend would suspect that I went on a bender and lost my mind. The family would probably hold an intervention thinking that I was on crack. I would have to move down 2 classes just to figure out how to ride again. I would overwhelm the trash guy with all of my spare bits for a week or two. The neighbors would have thought I had moved. My coworkers would have thought I gave up on proper design intent due to my lack of rambleing on about "If it ain't broke don't fix it". My boots would not know where the foot pegs were. The trailer would become stressed due to the change in wheel base or weight distribution. He!! would have frozen over, zombies would take hold, and we would all be struggleing to survive.

Yea that would be a disaster...

  6. If I have to donate my time to get an indoor round of trials into xgames I will gladly do that. A large group of people are working on getting xgames in detroit . How can we piggy back trials and the fim xtrials indoor season on this?

If you want to say "it can't happen" log off tc now.

If you think you can help let's band together.

We have enough man made obsticals, man power, mechanical power, and enthusiasts in this area to make it happen.

If its not in this area then we will travel

All we need is the right connections.

Who can help? Endurox and trials riders are there in the xgames now.... They talk about it.... who can connect the dots?

If your shy but have clout pm me... I make things happen... if your banned from tc email me biffscell@yahoo.com and we will talk. (You know who you are) if your onboard just reply and let's get wheels in motion.

  7. I'm gonna sound like a pyramid scam here but if each of us gets another person involved in trials each year we will grow. The difference is that its not a scam you're selling.... its fun... I can't count the number of people that I have taken under my wing. Ask your self.... who is your guy/gal? Who have you mentored? Who have you lent a bike to? Have you ever dropped off flyers at that brick and mortar bike shop who has only "heard" about trials? What are you doing differently today? It takes 10 seconds to put a flyer up at your local grocery while you're there.

I challenge every one who reads this post to try 1 thing this week to get another person involved.

  8. The theme with no stop is making it look like you're moving. If you just wiggle in place its pretty much a given that you will be OK. I figure that the next world champ might have parkinsens if this keeps up. (Going to he.. now.)

I will post more vids of this section with consistant scoring to this.

  9. Handle bar to the ground with forward momentum = you're still good...

Stopping for a moment and calling it a 5 = a European rant and argument

Stopping and knowing you did get a legitimate 5 = Spanish curse words

After riding for 29 years I am just starting to understand the rules. Learn something new every day. When you think it makes sense the fim will be there to help confuse you.
