  1. Handle bar to the ground with forward momentum = you're still good... Stopping for a moment and calling it a 5 = a European rant and argument Stopping and knowing you did get a legitimate 5 = Spanish curse words After riding for 29 years I am just starting to understand the rules. Learn something new every day. When you think it makes sense the fim will be there to help confuse you. --biff
  2. I seen him clean section 8 on his last loop which apparently he had not had much success with earlier. Noel said he said he was sore and tired but he looked great toward the end. If he lands in the groove he should be able to get a top 10 imo. --biff
  3. Biff is here and rocking it! --biff
  4. Ok well we will first have to change the name of Moto Trials to Solo Enduro Cross. We will include the building of berms in sections as a standard practice and that may possibly turn into another TC forum topic link (berm building techniques). We here in the states will send over our left over bleachers from our NASCAR events because trials will just blow up in popularity due to the rule just like it did in the 90's. Heck we will even throw in some red neck fans who drink excessively and say ignorant things. (Just keeping with the theme and helping anyway I can FIM ) Now here is the fall out of this revolutionary idea. These ideas will bleed over into other activities. -No stop golf! (i may acutally watch that) We will rename that sport to Solo Hockey With A cup. -No stop eating of meat. Its not cooked? Thats the challenge! Fun right? -400 mile marathons. Dieing is exciting so why not push the people into it? -They will get rid of cross walk stop signs for pedestrians. The money saving from the electricity alone will pay for all of the ambulance trips!!! -Credit applications will be instant! Why stop and think if you can afford it right? -Sleeping will be sooo 2012 so why do that? -Hunters will be happy that triggers on guns will be eliminated... (less work!) Just let it start shooting as soon as the ammo hits the clip. One sad effect will be the elmination of Fire departments. Just let it burn. Just let it burn. No no no dont stop it... thats not how you create new house sales. (Good thinking FIM ) If you meet an FIM official today kick em in the junk. Thanks for the rant space and ride the way you want to ride. Who cares about the points. Let the observer make up what they want WGASA! --Biff
  5. The answer is not that complicated guys. What you do is this. Get rid of trees. Trees are so 2011... Put your markers on death machines. (New Mexico you guys can still use cacti as long as they are prescribed distance appart needle to needle) You require the checker to put the markers up themselves so that the worst score you could get is a 3. WALLA! Problem fixed! --Biff Sorry if I offend with my sick sense of humor.
  6. You might have your lever ajusted too far in. If you dont allow the piston to for the master to return fully then it will not allow fluid out of or up the compensator port. (lil hole at the bottom of the master) Try this: Remove the cap and rubber boot for your clutch master. Pull the lever and you should see some fluid pop out of the compensator port as it initially pressurizes. If you don't then the lever to piston bolt is too tight or the master cylinder piston is not returning fully. As the bike heats up the clutch will drag more and more if the piston is not allowed to return fully. --Biff
  7. \I have done the rope trick on my gg and other bikes which works great. We recommend the rope trick all the time at FO MO Co another reason. If you ever have a 4 stroke and want to remove valve springs or valve stem seals back off the rockers or remove the cam (so the valves won't push down) and use the rope to hold the valves into the head. Make sure that you don't rotate too far to bend the con rod but you can hold the valve into the head and do everything you need to do with out removing the head from the block. Sorry about the unrelated note. As for your concern. are the reed valves cracked or blown out? a cracked reed valve can appear after a back fire and can cause a lean burn. Lean burn will cause pinking after the bike is warm. OR you might have a fly wheel side air leak causing a lean burn. Wd40 on the flywheel crank seal would cause that to show up. --Biff
  8. I rode with Andrew in Morgantown WV a couple of weeks ago. Man is that kid going to be great. He was bummed that he can't hop yet.... He is only 75 lbs and can ride over and trough stuff that most experts could not. Awesome kid with a great attitude. --Biff
  9. Hey Jason, Here are the organizations in your area that we ride trials with. Come check out Kentucky on the 6th. trials inc and mota trials I know of a 2009 Gasgas 280 for 3500 up here as of right now but there are always bikes around. stick with 2004 and up and you will have a blast. --Biff
  10. Had the same problem this summer. As it turned out my base gasket was shot. Look around the bottom of cylinder for any oil or combustion residue. It progressively got worse as the gasket was dieing. Here is a pic --Biff

I dunno zippy. I think I reinjured my stupid bone
  12. Ok so it was a slow day at work but I needed to get stuff done. In one of my very few down periods I stumbled across this post in a forum. I have that sense of adventure or at least have tid bits of it compared to these two. I also go bareling into adventure with out thinking too much about the bad stuff that can happen. That's parts of the Team WGASA spirit. Beware that this is a long read. It really should be a book (that I would gladly purchase). I know that there are stories like this with trials people (mike rapley and copey to name a couple) Grab a cup of coffee and sit back for a great story. Fredrik also known as RadioBaobab. I don't know him but after this post I feel like I do. click here. enjoy --Biff FYI i am taking monday off because i read this today... poo!
  13. Sorry I could not make it for the event Kjax. I hope my input the week before was well recieved. Thanks for letting me play for what little I was there. I was wondering if anybody took the down hill line in expert off that rock into the impossible landing. I just want to know who the equally crazy people were... misery loves company hahaha. --Biff
  14. Hmmmmmm Something tells me that all of this overtime and hard work this past year may pay off in terms of trips across the US. Glad to see a D6 event this year. PA can be a real challenge. I need to start preping now. --Biff

    Usa Ebay.

So between meetings im surfin on my uber cool new phone on ebay and somebody is parting out an 02 and 03 pro. They may even be on here i dunno. Parts are coming out of Golden CO..... The 99 dollar jug, piston, head drew my attention especially cause i know a new one is pretty damn expensive.... Heres the linky. Hopefully some one is not missing the stuff. --Biff
  16. After multiple 60 hour weeks and a virtually abandoned gasgas in the garage i can not process my own thoughts. The economy is BAD for my area due to the automotive industry when you don't have an education. If you have an education you would be dumb to move to detroit to get into this industry for fear of the recent past. The only tool that i have to counteract that is cash. People are getting picky again about jobs in engineering but that may not last for long. And its frickin 90 out here every day all damn day (as a northern boy thats tooooo damn much) Product launches are a beotch. --Biff
  17. Had a blast Keith. Thanks for the pleasant conversation on Sunday night. Keep on ridin! --Biff

  20. Not a huge turn out but I am amazed at how huge this place is. 1500 acres of rocks sand mud cliffs and what ever you could imagine. This is definetly a big what if possibility for a national dare i say world round. The price for camping was a bit high but we didnt have a ton of people there. www.jeepskool.com --Biff
  21. It started out really muddy today but it got better as we rode everything in. I no longer have any water crossings but we should be good. Parking on the track and out of the mud on the track. Make sure you gas it getting out there. See you all tomorrow. --Biff
  22. May 22nd and 23rd will be another Ahrma event in Windham Ohio. Here is the link. I will be helping mom (Joan) out at sign up or checking. Either way come on out it should be a great time! --Biff
  23. Its at the back of my head but there is no use worrying about it right now. On saturday i might worry but not today. We have never taken the option but the road might be it. We shall see. --Biff
