  1. Ok well we will first have to change the name of Moto Trials to Solo Enduro Cross. We will include the building of berms in sections as a standard practice and that may possibly turn into another TC forum topic link (berm building techniques). We here in the states will send over our left over bleachers from our NASCAR events because trials will just blow up in popularity due to the rule just like it did in the 90's. Heck we will even throw in some red neck fans who drink excessively and say ignorant things. (Just keeping with the theme and helping anyway I can FIM ;) )

Now here is the fall out of this revolutionary idea.

These ideas will bleed over into other activities.

-No stop golf! (i may acutally watch that) We will rename that sport to Solo Hockey With A cup.

-No stop eating of meat. Its not cooked? Thats the challenge! Fun right?

-400 mile marathons. Dieing is exciting so why not push the people into it?

-They will get rid of cross walk stop signs for pedestrians. The money saving from the electricity alone will pay for all of the ambulance trips!!!

-Credit applications will be instant! Why stop and think if you can afford it right?

-Sleeping will be sooo 2012 so why do that?

-Hunters will be happy that triggers on guns will be eliminated... (less work!) Just let it start shooting as soon as the ammo hits the clip.

One sad effect will be the elmination of Fire departments. Just let it burn. Just let it burn. No no no dont stop it... thats not how you create new house sales. (Good thinking FIM ;) )

If you meet an FIM official today kick em in the junk. Thanks for the rant space and ride the way you want to ride. Who cares about the points. Let the observer make up what they want WGASA!

  2. The answer is not that complicated guys.

What you do is this. Get rid of trees. Trees are so 2011... Put your markers on death machines. (New Mexico you guys can still use cacti as long as they are prescribed distance appart needle to needle)

    Are+you+ready+.+the+zombie+apocalypse+death+machine_11a7f1_3322521.jpg

You require the checker to put the markers up themselves so that the worst score you could get is a 3.

    WALLA! Problem fixed!

Sorry if I offend with my sick sense of humor.

  3. You might have your lever ajusted too far in. If you dont allow the piston to for the master to return fully then it will not allow fluid out of or up the compensator port. (lil hole at the bottom of the master) Try this: Remove the cap and rubber boot for your clutch master. Pull the lever and you should see some fluid pop out of the compensator port as it initially pressurizes. If you don't then the lever to piston bolt is too tight or the master cylinder piston is not returning fully. As the bike heats up the clutch will drag more and more if the piston is not allowed to return fully.

  4. The flywheel bolt is a standard right-hand thread. You can hold the flywheel by using some plastic or cotton rope, about 3/8th in. Take the plug out and poke a little of the rope through the hole while turning the flywheel to feel when the piston is coming up to TDC. Before TDC back the flywheel off a little and push some rope through the hole to fill the chamber, then turn the flywheel to lock it up. If you locked the flywheel on the wrong side of TDC, be sure to remove all the rope before doing the process again so as to not get it caught in a port.

Drop the needle one groove means to place the circlip on the top of the carb needle one groove higher, which will have the needle lower at the static setting. (it "leans out" how the needle operates in the slide opening range).

Forgot to add: when installing the bolt, go to about 54 Nm and re-check after a couple of heat cycles (rides).

I have done the rope trick on my gg and other bikes which works great. We recommend the rope trick all the time at FO MO Co another reason. If you ever have a 4 stroke and want to remove valve springs or valve stem seals back off the rockers or remove the cam (so the valves won't push down) and use the rope to hold the valves into the head. Make sure that you don't rotate too far to bend the con rod but you can hold the valve into the head and do everything you need to do with out removing the head from the block. Sorry about the unrelated note.

As for your concern. are the reed valves cracked or blown out? a cracked reed valve can appear after a back fire and can cause a lean burn. Lean burn will cause pinking after the bike is warm. OR you might have a fly wheel side air leak causing a lean burn. Wd40 on the flywheel crank seal would cause that to show up.

  5. Andrew is the most polite and pleasant rider ever! Hope he enjoys his new ride  So do you have to buy him all new matching gear?

Man if I could have 1/10 the fun he has at a event....

I rode with Andrew in Morgantown WV a couple of weeks ago. Man is that kid going to be great. He was bummed that he can't hop yet.... He is only 75 lbs and can ride over and trough stuff that most experts could not. Awesome kid with a great attitude.

  6. Ok so it was a slow day at work but I needed to get stuff done. In one of my very few down periods I stumbled across this post in a forum.

I have that sense of adventure or at least have tid bits of it compared to these two. I also go bareling into adventure with out thinking too much about the bad stuff that can happen. That's parts of the Team WGASA spirit.

Beware that this is a long read. It really should be a book (that I would gladly purchase). I know that there are stories like this with trials people (mike rapley and copey to name a couple)

Grab a cup of coffee and sit back for a great story. Fredrik also known as RadioBaobab. I don't know him but after this post I feel like I do. click here.

    enjoy

FYI i am taking monday off because i read this today... poo!

  7. So between meetings im surfin on my uber cool new phone on ebay and somebody is parting out an 02 and 03 pro. They may even be on here i dunno.

Parts are coming out of Golden CO.....

The 99 dollar jug, piston, head drew my attention especially cause i know a new one is pretty damn expensive....

    Heres the linky.

Hopefully some one is not missing the stuff.

  8. After multiple 60 hour weeks and a virtually abandoned gasgas in the garage i can not process my own thoughts. The economy is BAD for my area due to the automotive industry when you don't have an education. If you have an education you would be dumb to move to detroit to get into this industry for fear of the recent past. The only tool that i have to counteract that is cash. People are getting picky again about jobs in engineering but that may not last for long. And its frickin 90 out here every day all damn day (as a northern boy thats tooooo damn much) Product launches are a beotch.

  9. Whow, since I left Michigan, riding trials is getting really expensive, if I get some threes and not only fives...

Zippy, what about a discount, get five threes for the price of four or so???

At the moment I'm busy with collecting my fives in Europe, so I won't jump across the pond 2 ya.. Oh, and there was that thing called work to fill the gaps between events

I hope you have fun @ Bent Fenders!!!!!

    MARTINA!!!!!

As you probably remember we are really great at math so. $20 is like 1 euro or something and we still take in drifters... Glad to hear you are still alive. Email my work address if you still have it or pm me your number here and we will chat it up.

  10. I think we should send Biffsgasgas out for the remainder of the rounds. He may not place well, but I know for damn sure he would be entertaining. I will gladly volunteer to be his minder.

Get your passport LETS DO THIS! I was born ready...
