    Paint Work

Zippy was not Jokeing..... Pink it is... Hot??? I will leave that up to opinion. I personally think Plaid is a great color. Zippys pink Camo bike --Biff
  2. No body I know but I wouldn't put it past many of the people i know. I am just wondering why they didn't try to install an elevator. The latus work on the deck makes it easy to shoot through. --Biff
  3. I will no longer call your bike a well oiled beast..... I change mine about once a month. I do ride a lot. (not lately but ususally do) --Biff
  4. Its not an 02. Judging from the full face helmet and goggles that are prime for trials I would assume that the person who owns this thing does not know much about it. 97 98 or 99. but ask for the vin and you will be for sure. 277 278 or 279 should be either in the vin or on a part on the bike. 27=270 and 7 8 or 9 is the year. --Biff PS some one missing one of these in Sheffield????
  5. First you get yourself a travel trailer Next drive it to a prime hunting property Then shove some poles in the ground. (I know its sad to see some good trials logs put to waste but this may be worth it) Then get some buddies and some bucket loaders around to help manipulate. Drink some beer and admire the hard work. (Note axles must be removed or this project could look ridiculous) Make sure that you have it chained down because trailers have been known to blow away. (note several random trials barrels around and how propane does not seem to be needed in this project at this point) (double note save that propane for later) Next you will want to build a deck large enough to shoot from. (note at this point you will want to show it to your horses and your buddy who rides to town on a bucket loader) Your buddy who rides in the bucket loader sugests you build stairs because they look civilized so add that. Use that propane tank to fire up the grill on the new deer stand. Admire the view. (Note if you live in Texas, have a name that rymes with Pope and have seen this while riding your Sherco you might be a red neck ) --Biff
  6. Some of us may like mud.... --Biff
  7. FanticMatze shiped her Scorpa from the States to Germany and I believe that it cost about 800 american through UPS. They would only take 150 lbs and after the crate that was just about the frame forks and a tire. All of the rest she had shipped in seperate lighter packages but i remember that it was not that bad. We have another Rider here from poland and he found a company here locally that ships a container to Poland once a week. They charged him 200 bucks to ship a Honda XL 650 to poland. That was cheap and from what I heard it really didn't sit in customs for any length of time. If you can find a shipping company around they will probably throw you a bone and get it to you. --Biff
  8. Bring on the twin shocks! Old blokes are on fixed incomes and can not always drive across the country to participate. Young blokes may not be able to find an AHRMA legal bike. With local events every body wants the newer and easier to ride bikes. The early to mid 80's bikes have no true home in most parts of this country. Sure for a bit more effort you could make another expert line for them but keep the rules and make them turn tighter. --Biff
  9. Wow this is becoming a Michigan post huh!?! Kick some butt boys! We will be chearing for ya! --Biff
  10. Ok here are a few generations of my bike. Orginally I went for the carbon fiber look. That is all decal... Then i got board (no pun intended) with this and went for the knotty pine look. This was cheap contact paper and didn't last long. So I went back to the carbon look but used a thicker material. Then my roommate bought a gasgas and wanted to go orginal so we did it up in orange. Being board with the whole Carbon thing. I thought that I would go way out there. Thanks to a pint of boddingtons and a bit of help from Mr heat gun this is what I came up with. I have already heard the school girl skirt jokes already. Who knows how durable it will be but by then i will be board with it anyways. --Biff
  11. Yep photo and birth cert is all you need. My old lady lives in buffalo so i go across about once a month. This weekend unfortunately i will be in Syracuse at the parents 50th wedding aniversary. Sorry to miss out boys! Have a great weekend! --Biff
  12. I just started it last night. I should have it looking good by tonight. I am also doing the swing arm linkage and rear wheel bearings in the process. I will take picks when its 1 bike again. Its unusual thats all i can say right now. --Biff
  13. Try shifting it into every gear to see if you can finally get it to rotate. If so then you may have been stuck in that gear and another one at the same time which will cause chaos. If this is the case then lean the engine one way and try it then the other way and try it again to see if you have a gear free floating. Regardless of whats going on in there it looks like you will have to split the cases. --Biff
  14. Every time i ride a 4T i crack that throttle durring the exhaust up stroke.... my body says go but the bike says huh? This is the only instance in my life where my brain can speed past what the bike can do. Usually the bike leaves with out me.... hahaha I guess I could get used to that but i am cheap and don't feel a need for change. If it happens I will wait for the gasser 4T. I did find the beta 4t to be a great bike however. Enjoy the new Steed Aaron! One for you and one for the Bro? --Biff
  15. This is going to be a big one! And some picks to go with. --Biff
  16. I cant really think of any changes that you guys could have made. Be sensitive of the younger riders on the loop but some times the loop is the hard part. I have started to put up some videos that mitchell took. I have not gone through them all yet but here are a first few. Sorry about labeling. Check out Mikes slide into home base on section 1. I have to weed through what mitchell took but if its mostly me crashing then i wont bother posting them... hahaha. --Biff
  17. Welcome gasgasAlex, Check out Mid Atlantic Vintage Trials (matv) http://www.mavt.org/ they are a big vintage club in your neighborhood. They may have some guys to ride with and possibly places to practice. Enjoy! --Biff
  18. Heat gun! (an over grown blow dryer) Works like a champ. I have redecaled my bike and other bikes tons of times. (About 8)(i get board easy) This week i am going with a super cool new look for the gasser. Stay tuned. Heating it up will really help. --Biff
  19. hahahahah!!!!! My money went to two places. A motel at 4 in the morning saturday to get 3 hours of sleep. Then I had to buy a tdn shirt from Sara Duke. (excelent marketing ploy by the way) My buddy had to spend his kids tution on a gasgas from BRX. My roommate had to buy tons of swag as he has to compensate for skill loss.... hahahahaha! Great event Dan! Are you in the soup kitchen making up for it or are we down for another show next year?!?! It may be a pain but see if we can put a national on that weekend. I get itchy watching with no riding. --Biff
  20. I would purchase the rights to OSSA (i know several people think that they have the rights) and would make a modern trialer. I would use a chrome alloy frame which would be coated with copper. Then i would allow each of them to oxidize to give it that OSSA green patina. Or possibly allow them to be polished or engine turned. Hmmmm options.... Standard with white and green plastics and green anodized wheels. Possibly get Briggs and Stratton to build a full set of engines specifically developed to combat the gasgas flat head. Sounds silly but it would certainly be unusual and thats usually what i go for. --Biff
  21. Note that the impellar spins on the shaft counter clock wise as these are left hand threads. I have made the mistake of trying to loosen the impellar while acutally tightening it. --Biff
  22. He acutally punched me one for that section when it should have been a two. Since you guys feel gyped and I mean no harm in my riding I will be sending my trophy off to Ginder. I only ride 1 Ahrma event a year so I dont really need the points as much as other people do. I will contact Ahrma to get any season points transfered too. Next year i will run the 1 line as to not cause any grief and concentrate on the fun. I also feel that i am approachable so come talk to me if you feel robbed of a trophy or feel that I have cheated. This is not my first event and i ask for one thing of any checker. Consistantecy. If you are leanient for me then be leanient for all. If you are tough on me then be tough on all. Regardless of the drama. Great trials! --Biff
  23. Ok so I am bumED!!! Its Saturday around 11:20. My boss told me that I had to work today. Well at least I have a job so I can't really look a gift horse in the mouth. I am all packed to go up to Rose City right after i get out at 2:30. So lets go through the check list... Convertible with matching trailer.... Check Gasgas with faulty voltage regulator and no power to the fan.... Check Moped for dramatic effect and possibly a few drunken laughs.... Check Mini keg of Bells Two Hearted Ale (great michigan beer) ..... Check A multitude of 9 volt batteries to supliment the lack of voltage regulator.... Check Well looks like I am all set to go. See you all tonight and if any of you read this then get off of the computer and start riding!!!! --Biff
  24. Omg that was hilarious! Well done! --Biff
