  1. NICE!!!!! Great pics man. You got me going up the rock with feet on pegs! I am ready for another season already! See you in Ohio this weekend! --Biff
  2. Thanks for the tips guys... All of them seem to be really good ideas. I used to have a sticker on my front fender "Look ahead stupid!" I think i need that sticker back again. I have been doing that a lot too. --Biff
  3. Take it out on work! Thats what we did. They dangled a free lunch in front of our noses to see who could decorate their isle. We went a little over board.
  4. Oooo it even smells like a new forum.... (I feel like sam should break this in but i am also feeling greedy) Well let me ask the first question. I have a bad habit. I hold my breath! Half way through the section i am blue and out of breath. I have never heard of lamaz <sp? for trials but i think i could really benifit from a prebirthing class on breathing. Some of my felow riders use beer as an anesethic but i only end up drunk and out of breath.... not good.... Anybody know how to combat this? --Biff
  5. I guess the answer will be soon comming but will these two events be on back to back weekends? Much like Adam I also have to dedicate some travel time to getting to these things. My girlfriend wants a real vacation next year but I really want to ride the nationals. hmmmm I really enjoyed the national at the world round but i know that there was tons of complexity associated with that. The east coast had an event spaning florida tenn and kentucky last year. I may be going that way. For those in england/europe Colorado is a 24 hour drive time for me here in michigan. --Biff
  6. Politics have no place in this sport. If you get political about the sport then you cant really have fun. I say andy did what he had to do. Andy critics will be critics. Participate but leave the bagage at the door. --Biff
  7. Wholly CR@P that same thing happened to me a year ago this weekend! I was in northern new jersey and my company car broke down while i was in a feurneral procession. I ditched the car and rode with my parents. When it was all said and done it was about 5pm and here i am with a broken hybrid and no 300 volt protection. I ended up fixing it by 7pm on the side of the highway (this was saturday). I said screw this and drove all night back to michigan. I got two hours of sleep and decided that at 8 am i needed to ride! I called mitch the B!tch (roommate and fellow wgasa member)(no i couldnt walk up stairs thats why i have a cell phone!) So as I am loading his Montesa into the truck my middle finger gets caught on that same disc bolt! Just as you stated i almost passed out myself. I ended up riding anyways and won so i had that going for me. That was a bad weekend. --Biff
  8. !!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!! Forget that! Thanks for holding it as long as you did guys. No big deal. Aaron do you have room in the rig for me? Fun in the sun it is then.... Aaron are you comming to Ohio next weekend? I am moving up to champ. Nothing to gain nothing to loose just a good time. WGASA! --Biff
  9. I am not telling you either of you are wrong <disclaimer I would like to say that i ride with zippy virtually weekly and regardless of what brakes he has its not going to help much. He seems to have an alternate gravitational force which attracts them to trees rocks mud any other various obsticals found in nature. To be honest guys i love the conflict but if its zippy your argueing about then you might want to come ride with us to see for yourself. He tends to use his feet a lot. --Biff
  10. No use trying to haggle them down. If its too expensive then that is understood. I just enjoyed the indoor thing and the show was fun not only to compete in but also to see. I have a buddy who works with me from harrisburg and he is just getting into trials. We were talking about it and i remember riding a long time ago. Turns out he was probably there at the same time. Thanks guys! If it draws a crowd and they pay admission i dont see why it wouldnt be in the events interst to add trials to their menu. --Biff
  11. Jim keep us in the know about any winter trials your thinking about. Motorama is a good time. I would only hope that they run with it. --Biff
  12. NICE! I will bring some Michigan beer for ya Andy! --Biff
  13. Ok so I have been trying to go to WWW.MOTORAMAEVENTS.COM for the past two weeks but the link is broken or something. I am planning waaaayyyy ahead of time here and I am planning on riding if it is still on. I know its Feburary 16th and 17th but I want to preregister and know if there is a trials or not. Who is organizing the trials and what is the top class? Thanks for the info. --Biff
  14. That is some of the nicest property in the north east. If you have the means i highly recommend showing up. Sorry Jim my old lady is keeping me in michigan. See you at Motorama maybe? I need to post and ask the question if they are even holding it this year. --Biff
  15. Furthermore now i am in the dilema of stock or mod... I like the mod for manuverability however i need to work on the basics first and being calm on the thing. This weeks attraction is the stock phase 1.3 but those vee brakes make me wonder..... oh desicions desicions. Thanks for the push sam mid west bike trials is a great site! --Biff
  16. Oops sorry Gaby. Sold it to Waldo at your trials. Now i am itching. Its a funny thing. I have only been with out the thing for a week. I only rode it about once a month untill i was so out of breath i wanted to puke. Now i want a new one.... This sport is definetly an illness. --Biff
  17. Great find! Ohhhh to go back in time. Trials looked so easy back then however i remember as a kid/baby watching impossible feets..... --Biff
  18. http://www.trialonline.org/ Click on the 2008 schedule. I wouldn't expect us to cancel. --Biff
  19. Cope, Find a 20' by 20' tarp and get a case of your finest texas crude. Throw the tarp on a very shallow hill then put oil on the tarp. Perform some off camber turns. Have the said gonad kicking buddy take some video of you falling like a greased pig. This will help you simulate the northern mud experience..... If you do this in a refrigerated whare house then you have the complete November experience. Last year the first loop was great traction but then the mud thawed It is a lot of fun. It should be in the balmy 40's durring the day (not celcius for you europeans) when the trials is happening so the umbrella girls will be in the igloo. --Biff
  20. For those of you who go to the season opener Trials Inc. Trials in November note that the event will not be held in Enon where the National was held. It will still be in Dayton and will still have some gnarly terrain. I know some people come from aways away for this event. Just an fyi. Trials Inc november 4th link See you there! --Biff
  21. Correction. I was talking to my buddy and he states that the 06's were ok with the kill switch. The 07's had the problem. Let us know what you find... --Biff
  22. Ned is this a pro or a regular txt? I have never done this on my pro. On the regular txt it takes a bit of mussel. Use a vise grip and wrap that spring just about 300 degrees into the hole. You will find that you are probably going to come incontact with the swing arm. Pull out on the spring and force it past. When it is coiled you have to fidigit with the cover to push the spring around the cover casting. Have the gasket off when doing this. You will just end up tearing it if you don't. I can not find the link to the videos online but i have watched both the txt and the pro and I know they dont cover this. They will say take it to your local dealer. --Biff

    280 Or300

If you are new to trials riding go for the txt 280. (make sure its not a pro just the regular txt). The 300 raga will be way too much bike for you. Both are great bikes but the raga is very powerfull and more of an on off switch. The txt is powerful but a lot smoother for the average to begining rider. Enjoy the sport. Beware its adicting. --Biff
  24. Every 06 rev 3 that we have seen here in Michigan and Ohio has had the orginal kill switch short out. Remove the kill switch and see if you get some spark. I heard that it was very common. All of my buddies have been switching to the yamaha style kill switches and have not had any problems. Actually that is about the only beta problem i have heard of with the 06's. It sounds kinda buyable now.... (oops inner monolog got out) --Biff
