Hello
I have a spare parts bike (2002 Pro 200) and now someone wants to buy the "pick up" outside the flywheel. In the parts list I see that this part is inkluded in a "kit" together with the flywheel and the "stuff" inside the flywheel. I suppose this is for a reason? Should my buyer change all this stuff instead of just the "pick up"?
Sorry that I dont know the english words for these parts. In fact I dont even know the norwegian words for this

Hi
I dont think WD-40 or similar (we have something called CRC 5-65) is a good idea. It does lubricate a while but it dryes out fast, and when it dryes it often get worse than before because it also have a cleaning effect. I recommend using some teflon based lubrication.
An other question is how to get to the shaft to actually lubricate it. I managed it once by applying alot round the area and used compressed air to force it into the shaft. It worked, but I suspect I was only lucky..

I have a 2004 with the thermo in the upper hose. A couple of months ago the thermo popped out of the hose during a race. Probably because of overheating and blocking the excess pipe.
I managed to put it back in again and put a couple of zip ties around to keep it in, but now and then it pops out again. Is it possible to buy just the rubber part between the housing and the thermo? In the part lists it doesnt show at all so i supose not...

Hi
It is not sealed in. It is held in place by a "locking ring" (dont know exact english word), Unfortunatly You have to loosen the radiator to manage to get it out.

Now I am a little confused. In this document:
http://www.trialspartsusa.com/diagrams/Pro...2013%202008.doc
It says wery clear that synthetic oil should not be used:
I quote
"Oil type warning:
Never use synthetic oil in the transmission~clutch. The synthetic oils are

ATF yes and preferrable "Dexron III" I think.
If not ATF you should use 10/40 pure mineral oil. Not synthetic.

Hi all
I couldnt find anywhere else to put this (any sugestions?) so I put it here as it was done with a GasGas 125
Dont know if this impress You, but last weekend a Norwegian kid drove 235 cm straight up a wall in what we call a "High Jump competition".
My brother captured it with his camera and I have now put it on YouTube here:
Enjoy

Hi Biff
The car is good. We have about 2000 of them at my work..
I have not tried to put trials bikes into them, but studying the measurements I have my doubts that it takes two. At least the "normal" sized Connect. The measurements are Max length:1739 mm Max height: 1193 mm With between wheel boxes: 1226 mm.
My GasGas is 2050 mm long with front wheel straight and about 1180 mm high. I tryed once to put two GG`es in a VW Caravelle with 1900 mm long cargo room and that was a tight fit.
But the Connect also come in a "long and high" version with these measurements: Max lenght 1986 mm and max hight 1384 mm. I think that should be perfect.

Dont know why the 05 manual is not aviable. Try read both 04 and 06 to find the differences (there should be some). Anyway don`t take anything you read for granted. GG manuals are mostly crap Ask here if you are unsure about something.

That is a wery elegant way of "pepping" a 125. It is a direct swap. Just need a cylinder and piston.
In this case I still mean that it should not be nessesary, but for an old (heavy) guy like me the 200 (175)cc is a perfect toy. More than once have I wondered why I changed my old 200 to the beast of a 300 I have now

Hi
A 125 should be more than enough without having to pep it up. Even my sons 2002 125 pro was carrying my 90 kg quite well..
If it really is "flat as a fart" I would think that there is something wrong. I suppose You have cleaned the air filter and carburator? Checked the existing reeds? Changed the plug? Cleaned the filter in the fuel tap? Every connection between air filter, carb, reedhouse, cylinder is tight? Is the exhaust not clogged?
If this doesnt help there can be other issues like the cylinder, piston or rings (or all).
Hmm... faulty crank seals?
Missing something now??

Thats right.
And another thing to point out is that in Europe Jan is a common male name. In the US I understand that it is a more common female name? I figured that out some years ago when I was running a site on my Yamaha XJ900. I acyually got a few marriage proposals back then and I couldnt figure out why I was so attractive to US men

Hello
I just bought a "Well used" 97 Boxer and now I am planning to rebuild the interiour. This is the long and high type witch makes the space about 330cm long, somehow under 180cm wide and some over 180cm high.
What I would like to have is of course space for two bikes, 2-4 beds and seats for 3 (in addition to the three in front). Someone have any ideas on how to do it?

I watched Raga in Sweden, and I can tell that my GasGas is getting wery different torture than his bike does. Whitch is getting worst torture I cant tell

I think rather 2005.

Now I see why Sherco clutches work so bad... LOL
That list is a good start, but I think it does have a major errors. Stop operating the lever fhen no FLUID flows out?

I think brilliant because theres no holes in the rim and no problem with leaking rim tape. It also seems easyer to tighten the spokes?
-Jan

Hello
We were just admiring the back wheel on a Montesa the other day. The spoke and rim system is just brilliant!
The question coming up was if it is possible to use a Mont rim and spokes on a GasGas hub? Anybody tried?

Sorry about this OT, but how the heck do You attach images to a posting? Have some images from sunday I would like to share...

The former owner of my 300 always used synthetic oil - he said he was told to by the GasGas reseller when he bought it new. Well the first thing I did after I brought it home was to open the clutch to measure the thickness. Two of three fibre plates just peeled of the steel. I guess that confirm this.
One other thing: What about ATF? Isn`t ATF synthetic??

Funny thing building sections. I thought some of the sections looked quite spectacular, but on podium Fujinami complained about easy sections
