  14. I have searched the archives and cannot find a guide to bleeding brakes. I wondered if it would be possible if anyone would be able to give me a simple guide to bleeding brakes effectively, as I need to do it on my Beta and don't want to mess it up, I'm sure alot of others would benefit from one too. Thanks in advance, Lloyd

  17. I plan to give my bike a rebuild for the summer and was looking for anything to look out for, anything important to make sure i do etc... I've never rebuilt a bike before, but I do do regular mainteance. I am not sure what type of fluids to clean the frame up with, WD40 something like that? Grease, another big question, what needs greasing, where and what type of grease? I don't know how to get the steering stock off, and where does it need greasing? I plan to put a grease nipple on the headstock, do I do it with the steering stock in or out, and where is the best place to put the nipple? Is it the big nut on the top? Also do I need to threadlock all the nuts, or is there only certain ones that need doing? One last thing the hose from the radiator to the cylinder head, what do I do with that? When I take it off will lots off water come out? Any help would be great, and I know there is alot of questions, but its just I want to be careful. Lloyd
  18. Yea your right Rich, I never thought about the weight... Lloyd
  19. Sorry HRC, I didn't know if there was a particular reason why some people choose not to wear a helmet, and if so what it was. But I guess your right there is no reason apart from 'because they don't want to'. Lloyd
  20. I just wondered apart from the fact of freedom of choice, is there any reason why not wear a helmet? Lloyd
  21. I wouldn't strike it off right away Rich, although it' s a bit ugly, it is a really decent bike... They keep on going and going and for beginners who want to learn basic riding, gears and clutch it's ideal. Also, although they aren't as powerful as a modern 80, they are still pokey and will pull kids like your sister up respectable hills with ease. Lloyd
  22. Sound advice from RS once again......Your bike will think its Christmas come early!! :madsanta: Lloyd
