Thats strange, I have also sent my application before, and so this this time I didn't send a passport photo and I got my card back very fast....
-
Is it finished Kinell? Could you post a piccy?
Lloyd

That would have been good to see Heath!!

It would be far more effective as a bit of goodwill, rather than any sort of rule...

I agree fully with you, I really dislike it when people rev their engines right in front of me and I get a mouthful of s**t... Obviously there is no problem with warming your bike up a minute or two before you ride a section, but in large queues it's overkill.

Kinell, how a man and his saw can craft such a creation is beyond me...
-
O, well I hope for your sake it works
Lloyd

Looking good Dabster, let us know if it works

Another option is Epoxy resin, it can be spread thinly and is very strong. It would hold foam together really easily, and won't eat it away either...

After looking at the measurements and the pictures it wouldn't be possible, the bottom of the foam would have to have multiple air holes in it to for the vacuum to work properly. If you could drill a load of small holes in it then it would work, and the plastic would support the whole thing very well, but it just depends if your willing to drill a load of holes in your masterpiece

Found this through R2W's website, very handy when you need spare parts numbers etc...

Did you get the measurements Kinell?
Lloyd

Kinell, Do you have the height, length and width of the seat. Then I will know wether I can do it...?
Lloyd
-
Yep, by the looks of it I will be able to Vacuum form that no probs. I will just check tommorow. I will E-Mail you tommorow to give you my address to send it too. Thats if you want it Vacuum formed
Lloyd
Ps. It will only go over the top though, not underneath.
-
Does the foam toolbox you've made taper up from the bottom upwards? Could you post a piccy? Becuse if it's the right shape can I vacuum form it.. it looks really neat too
Lloyd

What Crafty little piggy woulkd that be Steve?
-
If you know of someone that has a Vacuum Former this would be your best bet. You can have it vacuum formed then glue the plastic to the foam, also there are various thicknesses depending on the machine, but if its industrial then you can have some very thick plastic on the seat. Hope that helps.
Lloyd
Ps. I can easily get access to a Vacuum former, but it depends on the shape of the seat, if you send me a picture of the seat, ill let you know if I can do it.

I have just built my shed into a workshop and I'm learning welding, it's all kitted out so I can do up some bikes and that. I was wondering if anyone had any Beta Rev-3 spares they wanted to sell to me...? I've got the cash and just want to build up a bit of a spares dept, so any help would be great. Also, if anyone has or knows of any tatty bike they want to sell in the Lincolnshie area could you let me know.
Thanks in adavnce,

Kinell's won it!! Lucky git.... That's gonna look smart at the SSDT
Lloyd

A poll would be a good idea.... explaining what you want to do?
Lloyd
-
I bet it's rewarding seeing it going to print!
Lloyd
-
How long has it taken you to produce John? Or has it been a very long term project over a few years?
Lloyd
-
I think it's a good idea, if its OK with the rightful owner (which I would think it will be )
