  1. Ben, fair play for having your say. I hope it leads to some constructive debate. Maybe the riders should get together and organise an event to show how hard the sections should be, and what format, rules etc are deemed to work best. I'm not being at all critical when I say that, I just think it would be an interesting experiment.
  2. Sam 5 Alexz 5 James 5 Dan 0 Rider no 17 ZERO All quite simple really.....
  3. I might be wrong but I imagine the non stop comment was probably made tounge in cheek.
  4. A little tip, get a rear mudguard for a Beta 4 stroke (Rev 4T 2008 i think). Its the same size but is black instead of white. If you can overlook that you will save about
  5. The future of trials might be clubs using their ground for more arranged open practice days. Charge around a tenner, come and go as you please, ride whatever rules you want..., set your own severity, saves the club a lot of hassle e.g finding observers, setting out etc. Maybe set a few sections out for the kids/beginners so that new starters have people to ride with and learn from. This format might also be less daunting for a newcomer to the sport. Everyone enjoys and appreciates riding a decent trial but on a week-by-week basis the flexibilty offered by a practice day will appeal to many.
  6. No minders, thank Christ for that! No more 'big effort' 'stand on it' 'lets hear it' or any of the other well worn shouts...

  14. You have to go to El Corte Ingles, the big superstore, in the city centre. They have a ticket booth for events at Palau Sant Jordi. I don't think you can get them in advance, but I may be wrong

  17. Those who know me will appreciate that my bike maintenance and general preparation is second to none , well apart from the pro/full time riders , so I gave the bike a quick spin this afternoon, ready for next weekend. The clutch had just engaged by the time I made the bottom of the drive, which was lucky as a blinged up Audi was parked up on MY grass A bit put out I thought a few traditional figure of 8's around the chav wagon were in order. A couple of pathetic hops and a bit of throttle stick was enough to make the proud owner of the car appear from a front door. Imagine my suprise when it turns out to be James Corden (you know, the fat fella from Gavin and Stacey). "Nice bike mate, I'm gunna move my car before you ride over it!" Nice! I did invite him in for a cucumber sandwich, but apparently he likes something more substantial. If he thinks I'm sharing my Ferrero Rocher.......
