id just look for one on ebay or craigslist or at a local pawn shop. you gotta decide if you want 20 or 26 or 24 inch. if you know anyone who rides trialsin try out their bikes to find what feels best to you and search for something similar to that.
i personally ride an old 1998 or so Monty 221 mod bike that i found at a second hand shop and it was cheap because they didnt know what it was. its the only trials bicycle i have ridden for more than 5 mins. i dont know if it fits me right but i sure do have fun!
you could just use you mountain bike if its got a smallish frame you can use that to start with. if your MTB has rim brakes itll be best, disk brakes on the rear dont really last on a MTB if you do trialsy stuff on it. not do basic MTB hubs, i had to rebuild my MTB's front hub because i did trialsy stuff on it. a MTB is fine to fer basic things down such as balance and your pivots and stuff.
ive read a lot of people like to ride a bike like the Onza. apparently you can get them for as little as 300 euros.
here is link to a biketrials dealer in the UK, the page is for an Onza frame. apparently you can get the whole bike for 50 euros more. very cheap. i hear many on trials-forum.co.uk praising the onza.
o how i wish i d the money to spend on a bike new than 5 years old. you luck person.

any one else going to the t town event in tacoma WA on july 18th?
let me know if you want more info, ill link you to a post at OTN.

i have had quite a bit of bike trial to moto transfer. ive been flicking my gas gas around a bit like it would the bicycle, and my gas gas weighs more than me (by about 20 pounds)! i find the bike helps keep my balance good and helps me with how to position my body a bit.
now after the bicycle i can almost get my gasser to balance on the rear wheel!

COOL! only a couple hours south of my house in oregon. is there more info on the supplied web address?
-
what about an unlocked phone with a UK sim in it? you would have a local number to home too!
there is also a prepaid plan that used unlocked GSM phones, i think its called O2. if you used both you would have a local number for home and a US number for calling in the US with out all the crazy out of country charges.
-
sorry, i cant answer any of your questions buy that famtic brings back memories of my old fantic 240 pro that i used to ride.
edit: not really easy to find info on fantics on the web.
-
you will probably be riding with Sacramento PITS right? i used to ride with then until i moved outa cali, its a great club and just about every one there will want to help you out. make sure you go to one of their clean up days and schools at the PITS property, great learning experience and you get to help make the area better, fire resistant and go riding in the same day! the second day is the school, and if you do the work day you get the school for free.

i use photobucket.com to host pics then to add them to the post i just hit the little button with a photo on it, second to the right from the smilys. then when the box comes up asking for the URL give it the direct link URL from the photo.
this is the direct link URL for this photo:http://i311.photobucket.com/albums/kk448/ggprotrialer/hotdogs.jpg

it is DOT 4, black cover. it seems to be leaking just a bit, its a bit more then damp and there is a small drop of fluid running down underneath the master cylinder.
it seems like a rebuild is my best bet. any one know of any US based places i can get a rebuild for a decent price?
-
for parts and stuff for my Gasser is use http://lewisportusa.com/
-
no sorry, i do not know.
it got this email adress by hitting email in the Gas Gas web page: gasusa@gni.com
maybe try asking Gas Gas about that. they should know the best.
Good luck
-
that image is just what i needed. Thanks! i will let out the adjustment and check for that squirt of fluid. i will also bleed since my dad is back home maybe he can help with that. well just have to see if its good after that. i meant by hardware store o-rings was just getting an DOT safe o-ring of the correct size and sticking it in there to replace bad ones instead of buying the whole kit springs and all which i may or may not need.

i hope it works and i hope you have a good ride saturday!
