You sound a bit worried about your tank Sparky, you'd better be having a word with him Here's a pic of the other side for you !!
-
my brother has asked me to put some pics of his TY250 pinky on here for all you Yam fans !!
-
I put some Renthals on my Sherco not long after getting it, i felt like the original Sherco bars came back towards me, the Renthals just seem comfier to use for me.
-
I've got some jitsie carbon fibre ones on my sherco, really good, theyve had a few smacks on rocks yet they still look as good as new, with my discount i think they were
-
Austini i've seen that crash too, bloody horrible. Was at Bercy on the Fantic section.
-
Had a go on one of the Paxau 125 Sherco's a few weeks back, was quite impressed with it, as its had a lot of stick yet it still felt alright engine wise. The rest of the bike felt knackered !! Dont know what they have done to them.
-
Yes the linings do come out, from what i've been told they clip out at the front, not tried it yet though. Brilliant helmets, very comfy and light.
-
I think airhorns make a great atmosphere at Sheffield. I took plenty of videos at this years Sheffield on my digital camera, they dont look as obvious as video cameras

Your right all bikes do have weaknesses, some more than others i think fairs to say. All comes down to the individual at the end of the day. Nitjay, yes the Scorpas do have really smooth power at the bottom end, but when you open them up theres more than enough. Plus points are, the bike is really easy to ride, great up slippy becks etc... the engines are bulletproof, never heard of one playing up yet. Negatives are just little things like waterpump is easy to knock off, soon sorted with a decent guard, the carbs a pig to get out, something you get used to though, have similar problem with my Sherco too, easiest way is just to take airbox out of the way. Oh yes one more thing the chain tensioner's are soft as ****, worth getting a steel one. Hope this helps.
-
Its funny you should say that, i used to get funny looks in my area when i rode a Scorpa for 3 years, they were the biggest bag of **** going i kept getting told !! I knew otherwise though. Its amazing how times and peoples opinions change
-
I would hate it if trials went completly non stop, it just p****s me off when you try and push through a hard section just to save a couple of marks only to be told that you stopped for a split second ! I think it would be better like the WTC is now. Club trials wouldnt have to be set out any different, if someone wanted to ride a section non stop then let them, if the next person wanted to break the section up a bit then let them too, wheres the harm in that. And would you really need a timekeeper in club trials, i cant see that many people wanting to spend a couple of minutes in a section in my area really.
-
Just had a go on the new '06 250 at trial today, they've definatly made it smoother, felt really good, smaller and lighter too.
-
Good trial Bootle Scrambles Club, set out really sensible.
-

I thought they looked quite good in the pictures when i first saw them, and last week when i saw the bike for the first time it looked even better again, the dogs B*****ks in fact. As for the clutch drag, its not a big problem really, only lasts for the first couple of seconds of a trial. I would rather it did that than the clutch and gearbox packing in
-
I've been riding my '05 250 Sherco now for just over a year and i cant believe how reliable they are, still on original chain and sprockets, brake pads. Put a new back tyre on and change gear oil fairly regulary and clean carb out. The only thing i didnt like about the stock bike was the handlebars, so i put a pair of renthals on and they just seem that bit more comfier I changed to Sherco after 3 years on scorpa which was pretty reliable, so i expected the odd problem, but theres been nothing gone wrong, i just need to sort out the numpty on top of it now
-
Pretty pi**ed off that its finished, thought it was quite a good read. Because there was only 5 editions left of the subscription they have give the option of 10 T&MX, 6 DBR's or your money back.
-
Oh yes she's a beauty !! very nice.
-
I've just got one of the new NAU helmets too, its the most comfiest helmet i've ever tried, wish it would make me ride like Jarvis !!
-
Here here, the bikes in all the classes should just be standard, when you see a pre65 with a front disc brake, that is taking the p**s.
-
Bit of a joke in my opinion the aircooled mono class, it should be named pre 1995 or something similar because you get people on old TY250's and Fantics etc... and they are competing against people on new Scorpa 4 strokes who have the massive advantage of modern technologies, eg. brakes, suspension etc... They arent exactly Classics.

I ride a 2005 2.5 and absolutly love it, they are quite zippy off the bottom end, it took a bit of getting used to after my SY250 which was really soft off the bottom end. I had a quick go on a 2005 2.9 and didnt really like it, the power was a lot stronger than my own, i think the increase in power would get me into to much trouble in the sections. p.s i'm only a clubman myself !
-
I would highly recomend a decent water pump guard and front pipe guard. Ive seen a couple of water pumps get smashed off off really small knocks, and i used to burn my leg quite often on the front pipe, never heard of any type of covers for the tank though sorry. You could put some of the thick clear sticker stuff on the corners for a bit of protection.

Where was this bike for sale at beer monster, i know of a tidy '05 250 Sherco thats leaking through the spokes, its been polished more than its been ridden You will soon be able to sort that small problem out.
