Come on Dan, you must have heard it too !!
-
Heard a few rumours recently that the uk might possibly be getting a new Scorpa importer, anyone else heard anything ? I've also heard who it might be, but i'm not really prepared to say sorry !
-
Think it was 1998 when Kuroyama broke both wrists, scary crash ! Dont see the problem with Blausziak getting the wildcard as he's won the European championships this year so good on him. I wouldnt not buy a ticket just because the type of bike i ride isnt entered, just go to watch the awesome riding you get every year.
-
There was 3 of them at the recent Bassenthwite trial and i thought they were louder than the 2strokes and didnt sound as nice either. My brother was observing and he said when 4stroke rode away from his section he could hear it a lot longer than the 2strokes.
-
I've heard similiar to munch, they'd might as well carry on with the SY250 though as theres not a lot wrong with them.
-
The way i read Birk's report he just said the rear suspension is a improvement over the 315, he didnt say the rear suspension is crap on a 315. If a new bike comes out it should always be an improvement over the old one or whats the point ? Some people will pick at anything.
-
I've heard from UK importer that Cabestany has signed for Sherco, dont know about Jarvis though.
-
I knew someone would bite, reel em in !!!
-
I'm not taring all with the same brush as some of the scots did make a point of thanking my brother, i apologise if i've offended you in anyway. I to always thank observers, be it in my own centre or on my travels, cos like you said they are giving up there spare time to help us.
-
On the subject of scottish riders, some of them need to learn how to thank observers for standing out in crap weather. At the Cumberland trial last week the amount of them (not all) who didnt thank my brother was disgusting, i sat watching his section when i'd finished and i couldnt believe it, ignorant sods.
-
There was 3 of them at my local trial today and they are the noisiest, ugliest trials bike i have seen in ages, i'd be gutted if i'd pay'd
-
I rode the YMSA Michelin 3 day trial in August and still havent had any results, pretty annoyed really. Got in touch with them about a month after trial and they said i would have some the following week, 3 months later and still no results, shame as it was a really good trial.
-
Had two Scorpa's before i got my Sherco and never had any problems at all with either of them. The only time i got water in was after power washing them. I recomend you get a good water pump protector though, easy to smash off.
-
Very good report all that, will probably come in handy for some people. Shame we dont have a test day like that in Cumbria. What happens if you fall off one of the bikes and do quite a bit of damage, who pays ? Your right about the Sherco not having as much ground clearance as other bikes, my new one has about 1 1/2 inch less than my Scorpa did, got used to it already though.

-
Jeez your a bit touchy arent you PHYSCO , chill out why dont you! Nobodys said the ladys shouldnt be doing the big trials, theyve got every right to and good on them.Your right not all of us have done the scottish or scott, and i never will because quite simply i dont want to, so i guess im a pussie then eh !!!
-
I dont see how you can say its the cost that stops a lot more ladies riding, cos surely all the men dont have sponsors to pay for stuff, it must come out of their back pocket.
-
Yep ! The championship course is only set out for the top 4 anyway isnt it !!
-
Yeh but 10 bikes isnt very many really when there seems to be so many of the bikes ordered, there must be something holding the job up, i would have thought people would only wait so long for the bikes to turn up.
-
Ive heard a rumour (just passing it on so dont have a go at me!), that they are struggling to get enough frames ready for new mont and thats why the delivery dates keep getting put back.
-
Have a go on them all, its the only way you will find out which bike suits you personally.
-
There's nowt wrong with Scorpa's. I've just got rid of my 04 and got my new Sherco cos i fancied a change. The scorpa's arent under powered, the reason they grip so well is the power comes in really smooth, yet my sherco is a lot more livelier at the bottom end, goin to get some getting used to, but i like it. I hear more good stories on here about scorpa's than i do about gasser's.
-
The clerk of the course seems to be getting quite a bit of stick on this subject, yet its not him sticking the flags in. A few local experts set most of it out and some other people who barely ride in trials anymore. They arent looking at it from a clubmen riders point of view.
-
Both courses should be eased a hell of a lot in my opinion, if someone like Jarvis is dropping 38 its way over the top. I remember in 1999 Lampkin cleaned the whole trial yet really enjoyed it, and it seemed a lot more rideable for everyone else too. If they ease the hard course some of the top riders of the clubmen course might (should !) move up to the hard course, then the clubmen course could be eased making it more rideable for real clubmen. There is no need to make the trial as stupid as it is getting, remember 99% of the riders have to go to work on the monday.
-
As usual the Lakes was set out way too hard. Apparently the clubmen course was hoping to take about 15 marks off the winner yet it ended up 74, what a joke. It just gets set out for the minority not the majority, the top 10 would probably say it was a good trial, but they are probably experts and not your average clubmen rider who they should be aiming at. The trial doesnt deserve such a big entry, thank christ i threw my entry form straight into bin when i got it !
