Was there.... In truth I think the Portugese knew exactly waht they were doing - right from the start they needled Rooney and he's so thick that he just rises to it. We could and should have won it.
I would actually like Germany to win it - they are hosting it fantastically well and the atmosphere in Dusseldorf on Friday night after they had beaten Argentina was something else. loads of nationalities all going for it........

I agree with Atom - the bike doesnt seem to be that much of a disadvantage, but when it's made clear that the Japanese round was set up to help the Monts and they (Lampkin & Fuji) stil cant win then it doesnt look too good.
I started the poll because I think it will be a very close run thing. I really hope he wins some more, but even if he does it wont be many. The top 5 still seem to be a long way ahead of the others, but Bou seems to be close to being very very good.
-
Only 3 wins last year and mainly third or worse this year with an odd runner up position. Lets see.
-
He seems to be close, but just not close enough....
-
Why do all the top lads seem to practice in seperate trousers / shirts and compete in one piece?
I think the jeans shirt combo looks much better.
-
Not the prettiest bike in the world!!
Todotrial (scroll down)

Aah, the coffin. Would it be a TC do without the coffin??
I did manage to get the cow **** off before it went back to Big Chick.

Saddo, talking to himself. I've found the next one in TMX - 7th June.
-
Noticed the first Rochdale evening trial was held last week. Anyone got the dates for the others?
-
Shops - Sandifords, Robinsons Rochdale, Pems, Birketts - all a bit of a schlep, but buy your bike from one of them and then get mail order off the advertisers on here.
-
You'll be made very welcome at Bolton and Darwen clubs - both have starter trials and I think Bolton run some at Trax in Preston - not too far!
Clicky - Bolton Clubthere is also a link to the Darwen site on the "links" part.
Have fun.
-
K is being far too modest - he features strongly as Clubman Winner in the Darwen report.
The days of having a chance against him are long gone
Darwen - good trial by the way - plenty of hard work had been put in clearing trees / scrub to open up sections. May be a little slippery when wet though.
-
Will be there Mon, Tues Weds will catch up at some point.
-
Whay not time limit each lap? 50% of the time for the first lap the 25% each for the remaining two.
It's not like a club trial where they are looking at the section for the first time, but I acceptt they need to see how each one rides.
-
1975 was the first WTC.
Just look at how many riders were entering those first events and the number of sections. Many won on 70+ marks with those coming in last on 300+.
-
Not mine BTW, but as a deal for keeping in our garage I'm on the insurance.
Roadsport 140, but with 2 big blokes in the power to weight wont be huge.
It does go like hot snot though!
-
It's always warm and dry up there
I've got some ski gear and earplugs. Nae problem.
-
OK - should be there from Mon - Weds. This year's transport sorted........
-
Cant find the routes on the SSDT site. Have they been published or am I looking in the wrong place?
-
Said before - but a great bike to ride - very smooth and grippy, plus plent powerful enough unless you are doing expert route stuff.
-
Got a Canon 350D at Xmas - you wouldnt be dissappointed. Jessops were the cheapest when we bought. (
-
04 200 here. Pulls my 6' 5" frame round ok. Smooth, grippy and not tiring to ride, thank god!
