What a cutie .
If you were to sit her on my Scorpa Stu you would see her with a big big smile
-
I imagine if you win it and it turns out to be a dud you could sell it on.
-
Just heard that James is coming over to Australia in November with a number of other world class riders to compete.
Certainly has the Aussies excited no end.
One of our rising stars competed in the Italian world round last weekend to get the feel of their level of ability.
Think he would have been impressed,
-
Have been using Motorex 2T Speedmix and the difference over Motul is far superior. You can get it readily from the Sherco Aust importer...hes not hard to find!
-
Andy, when will you have a chance to put up the details you were given at the photo shoot.
Anyone heard when is the bike going to be ready for the eager little beavers to get their hands on it.
-
Hey S.E.L. you mentioned you were using Motul.
I was a motul 800 user at a 100/1 with Premium Unleaded for a number of years and was a slow learner in finding it to be a poor choice in a trials engine.
Never had any trouble with the motor but found it gummed it (the motor)and the exhaust very soon even on new machines.
Spark plugs were replaced much more often as well.
I think the Motul is more suited to the much higher reving engines which run at consistantly higher temperatures .
-
Looks more like a bad case of pre Trials nerves to me.
-
That will liven up first gear Marky
-
Christ Vinnied, with a list of trials bikes that long I'm wondering what year you were Irish Champ
Have to agree on your choice of best bike
-
hey Marky, Just rev it out more as boo says it has a very tall spread,I find most sections are 1 st gear even when other bikes are using 2nd and even 3rd.
-
Good to hear sy250, Yamaha reliability shows again.....All you doubters . a spark plug and the smile returns.
-
Dave, did he ride better before or after he met your keg?
-
The back firing is very much a part of the SY Racing which are the only 250 Scorpas imported into Australia. On my 2004 SY I retarded the timimg back to the Original timing mark settings and had no back firing at all.On the 2002 and 2003 SY Racing the back firing caused the Expansion chamber to split slightly, which then needed to be rewelded.I have found if you over oil your Air Cleaner foam it will enhance the problem.Have now 4 air cleaner elements and replace after a days ride, save the used ones till they all need cleaning..clean them all together and continue the cycle.Let us know how you go when you fit the new plug. Will be very surprised if the woodruff key has come adrift.
-
In the over 30 right through to the over 65 class,do they all ride the same line.
-
Hey BS, How did you get a swollen knee watching footie??
-
Now you will really enjoy your riding marky boy.You just can't beat Thoroughbred Quality.
-
Hey Eric, The first of the SY Scorpas were released in 2001, and was Silver in colour.
You are right with assumption of the gentle power of the Yamaha motor being so smooth and controlable compared to the more aggressive power delivery of the Euro bikes.
You will find the SY has the best steering lock of all the current bikes which is a plus if you are not yet competant at front and rear wheel hopping.
I find the SY suspension very plush and easy to ride..
I'm sure if you purchase a well maintained bike it should be the reason to come home from work early to get out and enjoy.
-
Hey dabber that looks like an anodised chain.
-
What bolts have you replaced BF.
I replace the top and bottom shockie bolt with a high tensile bolt which is NOT threaded back to the supporting housing, just enough thread to firmly secure the nut.
Have found the original bolts if they do become loose, soon flog out and damage the top housing brackets.
-
Your right on the money Subira......If its broken Jeroni's in for a frustrating 6 to 8 weeks healing time.
Even then muscle wastage will take time to come back on top of the healing process.
What the go with David Cobos ishy?
-
Hey ishy, how good is that little lot of handy work.
If you want to come on down under for a nice long holiday Ive got a few acres you can have to put your landscaping talents to work
-
Don't know your man CROSSER,but judging by the support and his quick and courtious response to the loss of the Scorpa importation contract, can see why he is held in such high esteem by his friends and customers.
-
Hey R2, Birkett probably has sheds full of TY bits .....
One day some of the good ole TY's will wear out.
-
Hey Dr Nick, Did you get to ride a Trial on your American holiday?
-
Hang on on a minute Munch,
