  1. Thanks Grib, it could be that one as the frame, engine cases and hubs are all black and the forks and exhaust look the same. However snowmans has got the older style swingarm and kickstart and I think the rear mudguard has always been white? Confused!!!
  2. Yeah I would say its very competitive! I had the 99 and the 01 versions and they were both very nice very reliable machines! For

Im 14 stone and my Gasser 200 is a great little bike that has no problems anywhere! Like TrialsRfun says tho mine is only 175cc so the 200cc Beta should be very capable! You dont get as fatigued (sp?) on the smaller engine bikes cos your not wrestling with the extra power! Best to try and get a ride first tho!

I was thinking black with black rims! It would look like a stealth bike
  5. True about the Arais, they are the best quality closely followed by Shoei so like Stu says if you can afford one they are worth it!! My Hebo is quite nice tho and it doesnt seem to get too hot for me!

Not certain about splitting the cases? Best to give John Lampkin a ring to see if he can advise you??

That green does look nice is the tank sticker green also? I wonder what a black one would look like?? Hmmm now my mind is working! What sort of paint would you need to put on bendy plastics??
  8. Thanks for the tips fanticisti, I think it must be a 309 or later as you suggest. There is no mid section silencer as it has the bigger rear silencer! I thought it would have blue paint on the engine and maybe yellow paint on the hubs also but by the looks of it they have only ever been black (unless someone did a good job of stripping them in the past?). Bill Pye thinks it maybe a 1992 Clubman? Has anyone got any pics of one of these or is it the same as the 309??
  9. Are they easy to wire up cos I am removing all the light and switches from my Gasser so I will be having to fit one on mine also!
  10. We ended up checking the carb over on snowmans bike and noticed the needle was set at the second highest position so we dropped it one position and now it "seems" to be running a little better! The air filter is dry at the mo cos when he bought it, it was quite dirty so we had to wash it! What K-roo have you got betamike?

r2 a black chrome frame would look pretty good, not sure how well it would hold up tho?
  12. Thanks Telecat, guess I will just wait for the postman
  13. Thanks everyone that should give us something to go on for a bit
  14. Is anyone on here riding the Barnsley TC evening trials? I just wondered if anyone had got the results from last wednesdays trial yet? Or do they have a website with them on?
  15. Thanks Alan! We have drained the tank and put in fresh gas (we are mixing at 100cc to 5 litres) and my buddy is getting a couple of new plugs so we are ok so far but it did foul up a new plug yesterday so we thought it may now be down to jetting??
  16. Hah hah thanks Andy Sunday it is then
  17. I am hoping to get to the Hawkstone world round this year but I can only get for one day! So which day would you reccomend I go? Is sunday best?
  18. We are having difficulty with my mates bike, it seems to foul up plugs a lot (very black)! Its a Fantic 309 so I presume getting the correct jetting info may be hard so I was wondering if you guys had any tips? Is it worth dropping the needle and adjusting the air/fuel screw? If so by how much?? Any ideas guys?
  19. Thats ok, mines a 200 as well
  20. Not sure about the noise? As for the fan, mine doesnt take long to kick in either! It maybe due to the small radiator thus allowing the coolant to heat up quicker? Think its pretty normal tho?
  21. Thanks celine gasgas she is doing ok now
  22. I have just PM'ed Snowman to post a pic of the bike (its actually his bike) but ignore the colours as the previous owner has painted it to look like a 307! As stated the tank was actually yellow!
  23. Thanks everyone for the replies! Yes 30/60 thats my bike in the pic, I have been slowly restoring it and tonight it fired up for the first time since I bought it 2 years ago! It sounds very nice and how pleased was I when it came back to life I must say thanks to snowman for the help in wiring it up! Cheers fella
