Spud, looked to me like Sherco have cured all the problems with their 4T as the two that finished (3 entered) ran well and started well all week. The guy who retired holed a casing on the Friday I think, not a mechanical failure as such.
I'm waiting on my upgrade kit for my 05, arriving any time now.

the ssdt is the bench mark testing ground for any bike, shame the bike wasn't sorted in 2005.... there is one really BIG factor for me and the sherco i like a lot, the engine size (cc) i've yet to see a sherco 4t being ridden in my centre

I want to own a 4t and did the 4rt, but after nearly a year of ownership i found it wanted more power. The scorpa sounds and looks like a really nice bike, but the 250 engine still has me thinking its not powerful enough for my needs. If i sound like i'm a expert rider, i'm not! where i ride there are big slippery muddy hills and big power is needed. The 4rt is too noisy with the restrictors out, but on the flip side its so reliable and easy to ride. No disrespect to the Sherco's 4t they seem good, but have had to many problems for me to considering buying one - sorry Sherco. i ride a 2t now but as i say a 4t machine is what i'd like to own, not sure why, perhaps its just the appeal of 4 is better than 2...(sounds like a life story all this).....anyway, has anyone heard anything from gas gas?

nah your not correct.
very surprised by all of ND comments.

WHY? Anything specific?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
had you more as spectator than a rider. no offence you've said more about your transport than actual riding from what i've read.

returning to the original post. i do like the look of the bike, but for me i'd like the engine to atleast match the sherco 4t's displacement before i even considered buying one.

Tmx wrote something interesting, the bike has lots of power which will be good for levelling hills - a possible direct comment at the 4rt.

When i've set out a course my aim is to ride my other bike (Gilera Runner) around on the Wobbler route. I did consider my 1999 Kawasaki ZX9 as the bike to ride the sections, but i sold it and getting the tyres dirty was just not on.
-
not to good for rock hopping but ice berg hopping it looks the tool
-
Did you see Doug riding at Hawkstone last year? There was a section at this event, I think it was number 12 that had a massive hill climb (wasn't used for lap 2)Only Doug, Fuji and Freixa got anywhere near its crest, so the 4rt can level big climbs but what cc engine's are the works bikes.

have had the 290 sherco and now have the raga 300cc. the power on the raga is wild (so i've been told) but i'd go for a bit more i haven't seen a big bore kit for the 300 and any light weight flywheels, any know of any products?
have had the 4rt also, would have been better with a 350cc+ motor. can't wait to see the gg 4t, if they bring it out then it should be on par with the sherco but as with gg a slightly bigger engine.

Good to see Toseland is in the thick of it and i'm slighty amazed the Ducati can still fend off the 4 cylinder bikes.

used to be a manager in housing got so feed up i left to do a delivery job this year with the view of starting my own company. still nervous about starting the company but in one or two month's time i'm planning its launch. its in the delivery business doing door-to-door stuff. the thought of becoming my own boss is tops, i'm very nervous but what the hell if i don't do something i'll always be working for some nob head company
RichardS, i'm a qualified Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (got the certificates to prove it Andy) and the word Certified is what i thought i'd become doing that job 5 years ago you (but housing plays a close second fiddle). you won't make enough money doing trials evnets but if you had the land and could include MX and 4x4 you might just do it. good luck if you decide to do it.

3 minutes in computing is a life time, and anyway, what are the chances of more than one person having trialsinfo in there email address using TC....ummmm
who said banned? what is this some kind of dictatorship - god help us poor innocent victims, say five Hail Mary's any may the rain fall on your head for 40 days and 40 night and let your bike have 10 punctures at different trials then a massive electrical fault and finally let it blow up...banned who said that?
WHEN I FINALLY RECEIVE MY STICKERS (emphasis on the word WHEN!!!)if i decided to put the smallest sticker on my bike it will be a first in the south east, that is to see stickers on a bike from and lesser website in the south east the biggest centre in the uk, TI rocks.

The YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE frame guards: Mine have been on for 8months with the bike being ridden regular and then power washed after each ride. Because of what's been said above i took one of the guards off this evening to find a nice shinny frame with no rust - hope this info is of help

My centre (South Eastern) is split in to 3 combine groups and within each combine group you have 10+ clubs. I'm a full member of one club and affliated (at a discount rate) to a second club in one of the other combine groups.
