Never ridden a chair but i'd give it a go if your up for it? (me the rider you the passenger). One stipulation, the bikes know older than 1990 (Pre 67's scare me) i can guarantee you you not fly out of the chair and break any bones in the first 10 minutes. :madsanta: :madsanta: Picture the headline: Rabie the Rabit and Spud Mr Potatoe team up for a suicide ride at the Heights

Rabie, Chap, my point is the centre events are big money for trial only clubs. The clubs that don't host a round may want to and so why shouldn't they. If the centre ran 8 rounds with no droping rounds, and considered the Novogar, British Championship before setting its calendar, might this make good common sense to attract more riders (top class experts in poticular) to ride centre events.
Anyone outside the South East set your calendars dates around the Novogar and British Championship (or even European and World)?
Rabie, I agree wobbler events are good money. What I think attracts riders to these events are the regular observered trials. They keep riders interested in our centre and so these individuals look to ride other series - like wobbler trials. All centre clubs will have Pre67, modern and youth riders so any club hosting a centre event shouldn't have a problem with these classes. Sidcars may need a different view point as they are very rare, but these talented individuals should not be discriminated against.
Combines i'm happy with. Rome may not have been built in a day but the MX circuit at canda heights was The licence stuff had aready been covered in an earlier post and merry christmas :santawink: :santa1:

Jordi, your tooooo fast man i modified my post
my comments about the centre:
I think we have 25+ clubs and only 11 rounds so clubs that don't host an event may want to (idea for pull a club name out of a bag). i'm not critising the SE Centre or clubs its just i seem to ride the same stuff year in year out.

ND, I'm a middle of the South Eastern Inter.
Last Sunday I had some right good fun riding a club trial at Rotherfield. To say i went a little mad would not be putting my injuries to justice. I know when i'm progressing, its the Monday morning after count up of the injures that says how good i rode!!!... the stats read: 11 medium sized bruisies and 4 cuts. I was riding with the South Eastern Champ, and Yes, serve me right but i'd do it again.
I've this evening been putting my riding calendar together and what's p***ing me off is the clash's in the calendar with the Novogar rounds - this doesn't even include the Brit Nat. (not that i could ride them!). I can see why we don't see a lot of our top riders in the south east
Jordi, are you an expert centre rider?
BS, your no superstar you should see me ride....errr crash
If there are any SE Centre Experts that would like to comment on why they no longer rider centre events i'm all ears - PM me. I have thought for some time our centre trials are money in the bank, but only a select few clubs run them. Why we can't have a kind of Football lotto annoucment (ie pull a club name of a bag) for each round would be so much better. I didn't explain why i posted my original message.... its because the SE Centre trials have been nearly all the same for the 5 years i've been riding trials and the sections always seem the same - bordom is making me look elsewhere.
Next up is a certificate of newness for the Gas Gas and anyone know where i can get cheap insurance?
Anyone riding the Wallace Cup in February?

Odds on comparison:
beta or montesa - which is tops for a lampkin? james elected to ride a beta after he stopped minding for doug. of course no relevance to doug, if only to say the beta in any lampkin's hands is a useful tool!!
bou for montesa and freixa for scorpa. i'd like to see connor on a gg and doug back on a beta . dabill on a sherco as too cabs, but jarvis on the scorpa. fuji and raga on the mont, fajardo beta together with kuro.
any bookies out there taking bet :madsanta:

Having never ridden outside my centre I've decided its about time I had a little shop around the UK triala scene. I like the sound of the Novogar championship, but have one very big question: Will i be able to ride it?.... please no reply's 'hows longs a piece of string!!!' So, what should i expect to ride in an average Novogar section: 20feet+ nearly vertical banks, rock step 4feet+ and big drop off's? Any gauge on what kind of sections i would face would be much appreciated. Also, does my bike need to be road registered and do i need a national acu licence?

Turn the bars 180 degrees and you have a 1960's Cafe Racer - yuk

Rabie, you sorted a Sidcup MCC squad for the NKTC team trial in December?.....How about 1) Les, 2) Rob, and 3) you
1) 2) 3)

-
All a state of mind old bean . The Raga is very versitile - say your in a section thinking, "what gear shall i use?" I did on my SY, but riding me Raga the question doesn't arise anymore. Choose a gear any gear it doesn't matter to the Raga, so long as your not fussed the bike isn't. I've learn't that trials is a speed sport! Yup, speed will get you through most sections and the Raga's Very fast, so stop pottering around and give it a fist full

Disappointed to read the Beta 270 was one (oops two) riders favorite machine - must be down to old age

TBM would be best served to leave prodution of any YOU HAVE USED WORDS OR A PHRASE WHICH ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THIS WEBSITE. PLEASE DELETE YOUR POST/TOPIC. DO NOT TRY TO CIRCUMVENT THE FILTERS IN PLACE ON THIS WEBSITE alone for atleast 6-months. This would give a break from the bad news and to see how the market reacts. I don't agree that trials riders a tight! Dealers local to me can not sell second hand bikes because everyone is buying new - along with clothing and accessories. I agree with other comments, any thing trials related is worth reading, but i do not buy the TMX because it doesn't do enough on trials.
Subcription to TC YES!!! My suggestion is this: Only the World Rounds first of - experiment with the interest from TC members and then a year later include the British Championship in the subscripton if poss. All Centre and localised trials stay 'free'. After a month or so the a World/British report becomes free for All to read, but in a briefed version.
Like with any website (I know) it costs money and with Andy comments early, I too see my own site as a hobby. There needs to be a line drawn in the sand with any hobby and its cost - TC is standing on the line I suspect! And yes, i would subcribe to TC reports

good names
How about: Team Rock-Ards or Team Big Fat & Hairy

No problem. You've a good lady wife. My wife tried to spring a surprise on me last year with my bags being packed . she's a little sweet heart really. Happy birthday for the 20th, I always adhere to my once a year tradition of, "all those in the house do as i say!!!" This only happens one day of the year so i try and make the most of it.
I think there is a British bike trial at Canada Heights this weekend, it should be advertised on the Sidcup MCC website.
Have you subcribed to the TSM? There's a Team Trial for North Kent clubs in December i'll be riding in it. Its a 3 man team with a supplied observer, the event i think is near Hastings. Whilst i'm on this topic, any ideas for a team name? Perhaps: Team Chicken Vindaloo or Team Big Hairy Mambers
-
Motosinge83, In yellow they do look smart. The bike is little before my time but if theres an offer i'd like to try one. What area do you ride?
Spud Plark, will you be taking your camera to the Coombe Valley trial on the 20/11/05? Its the last round of the South Eastern Centre Championship and a really big day for two riders, Ashley Newbery and Richard Ely. I'm riding that day (cliff) and will be writing a report and conducting an interview with both these two. If you are taking your camera we can meet up in the car park before the trial start. Any extra camera work would be much appreciated and i'll post your details on www.trialsinfo.com with anything featured of yours.
