If there's enough RTL's etc to make a class and it doesn't effect any of classes then fine.
Similar topic and just wondering : What classes of Adult routes do other centre and combines have? In the South East i've seen and heard of:
Super Expert, Expert, Expert B, Inter, Novice, Wobbler, Twin-Shock Inter, Twin-Shock Novice, Sportsman, Over 40's, Over 50's, Over 60 and i think Over 70's. Pre 67 ABCD, Rigid, Sidcar Expert, Sidcar Novice, Sidcar Pre 67 and Rigid.

Hello Spud Plark, (good name by the way)
The area you live in is close to a couple of pieces of land i complete regularly at: Rotherfield and Crowborough. They are not practise grounds and I say this because i've never heard of them being used in this way, but I might be wrong.
The closest bike club to you is The 96 Trials club. They can be contacted by calling the motorcycle trials dealer, Stevens Trials in Bexley; 0208 301 4111 (Dave or Karen). You will need to become a member of the ACU and Stevens will be able help you do this.
Not wanting to upset TC (hope this alright Andy) i run a website local in your area called trials info, click on the "south Eastern centre" link below and it will take you to my site - there is a calendar that may be of interest. Most or nearly all of the trials events local to you are advertised in a small gazzette paper called the TSM. The TSM is a must if you intend to ride other than practise. Again Stevens trials will have the full details.
So, I look forward to meeting you soon. We do have a OSSA rider in our centre, so lots to talk about with him and there is a trial in Swanley, Canda Heights on the second weekend of November.

The point you are making here is?... Did you know that in the UK, TSR22 A and B has been widely known as the main ruling for off-road motorcycle trials?
Can you advise the rules the above championships you refer to are running under?
-
What one rule for them another rule for a different group and so on......

Don't know what you are riding 'Spud' but I know it wont be worth more than its original purchase price 15 or 20 years from now. A lot of people have realised that Honda TLR 250's provide a 'fun' trials bike which you can compete on for a few years (whether in twin shock trials or normal trials) costing you virtually nothing over that time then sell and get your money back.
Wonder how many Gas Gas's are still going 15 years from now?
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I'm riding a Gasser, a 05 Raga baby at that!
You wouldn't happen to be a Honda rider by any chance? I used to own a Honda, we parted company when it left its mark on me. What mark you might ask? "Chocolate Cams". You know the one's, they were fitted to the, VF's, VT bike ranges.
Nearly forgot.....15years from now i've booked a date in diary to have mass Gas Gas bike rally to your front door. You could join in but one stipulation, "no chocolate".

Dman, your getting silly with the Nitro's.
Hey GG!!! I'm not asking for a Turbo, or even Nitro's. I just want an engine that the PRE 67's boys and girl would drawl over. Make a bike that leaps, is light, has lashes of lushes power with a linear and lively Whoop!

The biggest headache for any Webmaster is keeping things simple and minimising them bloody links. The jumble of links, hyper links etc makes for hard reading. The paper publication on the other hand is simple, easy to read and best of all, can be referenced far more easier than any website. I'm sure there will always be demand for ink on paper, but the need will be less as time goes by. A paper-less society has a nice air about it, but it will never happen - well not in my lifetime! Time, money and manpower will see the growth of the website, with full-time jobs for the select few Webmasters that are creative. They say, "money talks". When market dominance is measured in money, how good is the TMX to any website? I refer to my earlier comment re: "donated free reports". Webmasters only react to censor articles that a publication will screen before printing. The Webmaster still needs to be very pro-active should rogue/undesirable reports entry a website - this includes chat rooms, the key here is pro-active not re-active. A publication will never match a website for speed of information, nor visual effects and interaction. Websites are better! But require a lot of policing a bit like a publication.

I want:
450cc, fuel injected, boost power button, weigh's as much as a nats-do-dar, has Raga Rep written all over it, is high reving and incorporates a power valve sytem (aka Yamaha exup). Has an after market tune kit with big bore piston, head, valves etc and the bike costs less than

The biggest problem I see with many publications is a reliance on donated/free material/reports. My colleagues at my place of work thought I was mad to send these publications free material when the publications are getting paid for my work. If I

As iow, I have a slightly different viewpoint on your comments, (john shirt's). For my reckoning, TV coverage would promote the sport by increasing rider numbers. But, it will fall short of attracting any extra officials in the numbers you are suggesting. Yes, maybe a handful of extra officials would become available, but they would be needed to man sections that most local clubs find it difficult to have one observer per a 20-section trial. My slightly different viewpoint is this, MX events have TV coverage and they find it difficult to attract adequate officials, so how would the ACU over come this? The question I would ask is: How do Moto GP (road racing) events attract so many trackside officials?

No nowt about washing machines, seems you have a wealth of knowledge
Got a missus to do that job, I have a rough idea where the washing machine is, I have a feeling it is located in the kitchen, but I don't go there either
Sorry I can't help, and no you can't bring your riding gear round here
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I know of the washing machine too, the wife tried to educate me on how to use it. My first ploy to stop me doing the washing was to act stupid and look all fustrated. However, this ploy failed given a month or so, so my next idea was to use fairy washing up liquid instead of the normal bio stuff, and what a great result! soap subs poured out of the machine and the wife went ballistic! No washing duties for me

My thoughts exactly. I never realised there are some many people out there who enjoy riding around fields. The bike must have real good fuel consumption because why else would they be bidding?
-
Bike is jet washed after every ride. The air filter is cleaned and a spare is fitted, and once a month the complete air box is washed. Carb gets cleaned every 4 rides, but I

Out of all the bikes i've owned my 03 sy250 took ages for the fan to start running even in hot weather. The thermostate (poss heat sensor) i think is located directly under the Rad, its wires hang exposed and are in the firing line of the front wheel. What i done to protect these wires was to cut a twist grip in half and slide it over the wires - sorry i don't have a picture, but the bikes fan always worked and the bike never boiled over. Your bikes hot running could be down to an air lock in the water system, or what i've just said. I'm assuming you Rad is not clogged with mud? My bike started almost ever time hot or cold first kick.

Bikes, which have been deemed fierce, over powered and hard to control in the past, are they still revered in this way today? I recall a conversation recently with a rider who informed me his Fantic 300cc (?) was a total animal to ride, it was over powered and no one wanted to own one because of this. Does anyone know of past bikes that were fierce beasts to ride? Surely there will be many but perhaps that was all hype then as it is today. Looking at this whole subject of engine size cc and what suits who etc.... could this animal Fantic be as fierce and as terrifying as a modern bike as it was when it was at the cutting edge? I rode the bike, which incidentally was in first class condition and the conclusion is it had about the same performance bottom/midrange as a 125cc Gas Gas and less top end power! My point is this, today's bikes which are deemed as having crazy power will tomorrow be underpowered. Perhaps as riders get older they find cutting edge machinery too much to handle and age or a loss of bottle is more the case here. Myself, I ride the 300cc Raga and enjoy using big gears, no revs to level hills and largish obstacles, and i would say i'm a very average rider.

Spain is for 2-strokes whereas Hawkstone Park, UK is for 4-strokes. I can't envisage any advantages with either engine because if there were the debate on the non-stop rule would not take place.
However, in answer to your question, my gut feeling is the 4-stroke would do better in a pure non-stop environment. I owned a 4rt and keeping the wheels turning was a much better way of riding, jerky clutch action I found upset the bikes rythem.

No minders, mechanics or any kind of support staff in the sections. The press allowed in the inner ring of the sections but away from the riders. In Fajardo's case a factory mechanic/individual trying to pull a fast one as a press officer is well out of order and the factory should be called to answer his actions. No stop sections.
-
Who in there right mind would want to ride a trials bike around a field? There is no V5 or proof of ownership being mentioned. If they did buy the bike I find it odd they would buy a bike knowing nothing about it, could it be stolen.

Thanks for the related reply's I don't beleive the scores would been known on the day however, i beleive both riders will be fully aware of this pending tie break situation and gathering advice. The shoot out idea sounds good thou.
