Very sad news, another teenage crush gone. Before David Tennant and Billie Piper, Tom Baker and Elisabeth Sladen really were the iconic pairing....sad day

I think he's trying to play on the "Honda" thing, you know how much TLRs and RTLs sell for, he's on that line.
Oh and yes, if it was the right bike, I'd pay it....

Thing is it's been happening for a while now and that's not Gary's fault, they guy is just riding what's laid out for them all. If you make the sections hard enough that they are a big challenge for Gary you'll kill everyone else.
If you look at the results across the board on Sunday the sections were spot on, winner of each category only lost a few marks, so the level was about right for the best of them and there were loads of cleans for everybody and in most cases not massive numbers of fives, the sections were all rideable, every section was cleanable in every category.
In my view, you don't lay a trial out for Gary bar maybe the odd section that'll make him think and if you look at his marks, he lost them on two fairly innocuous looking burn sections that were just tricky (the 5 was a missed marker!!). Missing riders would have made the gaps that bit more sensible.
If you have a trial where a class winner ends up dropping more than 50 or 60 marks it's too hard, you end up with riders fiving nearly every section going home less than pleased at their day out, you might not want to ride that one the following year.

Gav You started saying those things.....as you're a mate I didn't want to disagree with you ....

They are being finalised and checked tonight.....
Don't think you were that High up Gav.....

91 last year if memory serves, 71 entries this year both numbers include non starters. There were not too many from south of the central belt, which is a shame.
Fuel costs are the same from the like of Fort William as they are from say Ayrshire. There were other trials on but that a whole other political argument!

Divorce her and find a new cheaper lighter model??????

Simple answer as Shercoman2k8 points out is strap as much to the bike as you can taking the weight off your body.
-
Brilliant trial today, a lot of happy riders heading home.
Provisional results as they were on the boards however, because there are a number of placings in many categories tied on marks lost official results won't be ready until Janet and Carolyn get together on Tuesday evening to sort them out, please don't bagder them for scores.

I agree, it would be great however, work problems mean I'm working every weekend from now till whenever unless I have them booked off well in advance. Our 5 man roster has become a 3 and a half man roster at very short notice so were back at the 65+ hour weeks again...not great!!

Saw this and thought of you lot

Shocking...our forces can't handle an attack of the Kronenburgs.....
Good day, bit sloppy to start with but the course opened out up and dried out enough to make it rideable by all classes. The weather brightened up and we even had some sunshine.

Interesting.....I think there have been some within the SACU looking at different ideas BUT you have a group of people on the management committee who only see that bottom line of numbers at the end of the year and who refuse to change because they are old and set in their ways. I grew up listening to some on them the current President included, bring in money to clubs and association but don't use it to invest in our sport. Do we really need a full-time, fully staffed office?? Why should the SACU have a decent bank balance when our sports are struggling, doesn't that money belong to the riders who take their licences every year because I don't see where else they bring the cash in.
I'm a very occasional rider and the fact that a licence is
