Brandon and Wesley are playing golf at their favorite course, but on every hole they are being held up by a twosome of women who are always half a hole ahead.
The women are great golfers, but they are playing terribly slow. Finally, after watching the women in the distance as they stood over their putts for what seemed like an eternity, Wesley decided to do something.
"I'll walk ahead and ask them if we can play through," Wesley said. He set off down the fairway, walking towards the women. But when he got halfway, he stopped, turned around and headed back to where Brandon waited.
"Can't do it," Wesley said, sounding mighty embarrassed. "One of them is my wife and the other's my mistress!"
"OK," Brandon said with understanding. "Then I'll go ask them."
Brandon started up the fairway, only to stop halfway and turn back.
"What's wrong?" Wesley asked when Brandon got back.
To which Brandon could only reply: "Small world, isn't it?"
I think if you have effective Clerks of the Course who pitch the sections just right then it minimises the issues around stop/no-stop, it's that simple, sections have to be rideable. If that is done right the observers should have absolutely no hassle applying the rules honestly and effectively for all riders.
When the contentious three/five issues happen it's more about inconsistency. If what the individual observer does is consistent across the entry then I'm okay with that if not then that's where it becomes an issue. Often favouritism cuts in and that's where arguments start, is one observer being more lenient to one rider than another.
We always brief observers that a stop is a five, riders are briefed the same so that everyone is clear what will happen. At all costs clubs have to protect observers, it's difficult enough to get them.

I know this has been disgused ad infinitem but for me trials is soooooo much than a series for half a dozen blokes and we know you don't like the guy. REAL trials what happens every weekend and trials like the Scott/SSDT not the short laps of WTC, the cosseted environment of minders and team trucks a mile or so away should the flat a tyre or break a nail......... Dougie will always be the GOAT in my eyes... (till whichever next Lampkin come along to eclipse Doug )
For me he's still the best of them all, the GOAT. Until Toni Bou or any of the rest can rack up 8 SSDTs, 4 Scotts and however many national champs of whatever country as well as at least 12 World titles they're not even close. He was never headed this week and confidence was oozing out of him on Monday, great win! just another wee comment, though Doug and Dibs especially showed a huge amount of class posing for that pic with the Champagne at the end; real sportsmen.....

Ross it basically takes to a similar method of licensing as nearly all other organisations other than the AMCA. If it helps makes sport more affordable and helps more people get started, its got to be a good thing
Thoughts.. initially .. the numbers are more than interesting, Why can the SACU not provide trials at the same prices the ACU can?? The SACU are afiliated to the ACU under the label of a "Centre", why should Scottish riders not ride under the same rules?? In these days of austerity the SACU should be doing everything possible make the sport as affordable as possible for everybody no matter the bikesport!
Best part of 4 inches of rain has fallen in Lochaber..... it rains like a bitch but it does drain quick as well. It'll be a wet Scottish thats for sure
I think you have discovered, what they call in the quantum physics world, the anti-joke, a very elusive particle indeed. Your anti-joke looks the same as an opposing ,positive joke yet when the two come together it manages to annihilate the actual joke thus emitting a residual, depressing, negative wave when the observer collapses from the reality of the creation of the joke.

He tries to throw them off but is arrested, prosecuted for harassing an ethnic minority, imprisoned and fined a further £100. While he is in jail again the Gypsies cut down the rest of his wood and sell it on the black market for £100 cash. They also have a BBQ of squirrel and pheasant and leave behind several tonnes of rubbish and asbestos sheeting.
The forester on release is warned that failure to clear the fly tipped rubbish immediately at his own cost is an offence. He complains and is arrested for environmental pollution, breach of the peace and invoiced £12,000 plus VAT for safe disposal costs by a regulated government contractor.
Your assignment: How many times is the logger going to have to be arrested and fined before he realises that he is never going to make £20 profit by hard work, give up, sign onto the dole and live off the state for the rest of his life?
7. Teaching Maths In 2010
A logger doesn’t sell a lorry load of timber because he can’t get a loan to buy a new lorry because his bank has spent all his and their money on a derivative of securitised debt related to sub- prime mortgages in Alabama and lost the lot with only some government money left to pay a few million pound bonuses to their senior directors and the traders who made the biggest losses.
The logger struggles to pay the £1,200 road tax on his old lorry - however, as it was built in the 1970s it no longer meets the emissions regulations and he is forced to scrap it.
Some Bulgarian loggers buy the lorry from the scrap merchant and put it back on the road. They undercut everyone on price for haulage and send their cash back home, while claiming unemployment for themselves and their relatives. If questioned they speak no English and it is easier to deport them at the governments expense. Following their holiday back home they return to the UK with different names and fresh girls and start again. The logger protests, is accused of being a bigoted racist and as his name is on the side of his old lorry he is forced to pay £1,500 registration fees as a gang master.
The Government borrows more money to pay more to the bankers as bonuses are not cheap. The parliamentarians feel they are missing out and claim the difference on expenses and allowances. You do the maths.
