Further in the screw the richer your mixture, screw it all the way in then back out 1.5 turns max. Use a good oil Rock Oil/Putoline/Repsol, 70cc per 5 litres of unleaded, don't use superunleaded. Suggest you use a BPR5ES plug, should be a light sandy brown colour when your mixture is spot on. (black and oily it's too rich, white deposits generally suggest too lean)

fraid so chaps....It doesn't look that brilliant a weekend, Saturday much better than Sunday though. Saturday: 12-14 degrees, wind SW 20-25mph, cloudy, patchy rain. Worst of Saturdays rain comes overnight so pretty soggy underfoot. Pic is for 1300 on Saturday afternoon, (the grayscale background is cloud, the whiter the colour the thicker the cloud (it's based on temperature), circles is our symbol for rain, the V's showers, colour v's and circles is amounts of rain blue up to 5mm, green up to 20mm in a six hour period, size of the v's and circles the intensity, bigger means heavier basically.) Sunday: 13-15 degrees, wind SW 25-30mph, cloudy, band of fairly heavy rain moving in from the southwest, 20 to 25mm of rain in parts of Lancashire and Cumbria......could almost be Fort William [ Pic is for 1300 on Sunday afternoon,

I disagree mate. From memory there was still two or three marks between Mart and Malc when they hit the Ben, Mart fived the last un, Malc cleaned em, I was there as well. Stand to be proved wrong, but I'm pretty sure that was what happenned ....and you could have cut the atmosphere with a knife on the Ben today, that audible intake of breathe, just doesn't get any better.

Problem is that the western side of Scotland hasn't really had much of a "dry" spell this year therefore the water table is much higher than normal to start with, the rain since last week has done nothing but raise flood levels. Last year most of April had been dry so not only was the weather great the moors were generally pretty dry. I can't actually remember a low as deep as this one has been at this time of year for ages and the ones there have been have come from a southerly aspect rather than sit off the north west coast for he whole week. I know how wet it was last weekend, I'd dread to see the state of some of the moors now.

Wednesday...1986..... the long run day over 95mm of radioactive rain fell on Fort William. Radioactive because of all the crap it brought from Chernobyl. I went to Chairlift that day when I arrived the water was just bubbling over the rocks, when I left it was about three feet deep. Last man in that night came in between car headlights about 830pm. That whole week was stupidly wet

Never seems to rain in Socal but by god it has rained a bit in Fort William today, in excess of 50mm (2 inches) in the last 12 hours. Thursday Route scrubbed a shorter day now being planned. Don't think I can ever remember that before.

Really think some of you need to get a grip, do you criticise the Scott when their results appear after midnight, or on the Richmond site the next day or on TC the next day, no. Any major trial wants their results out at the presentation NOT on some website. Once they close the office up on the Saturday most if not all of the committee and organisers spend the next week in Fort William at the six days, are they not allowed to attend until such times as they have satisfied every ones demand for scores. The Club have none of the communications resources that the SSDT has and has been pointed out many many times they are completely seperate events. Perhaps one of them should drop a copy off in the SSDT office but it's not compulsory. Why is it on Todotrial?? I think that's an easy call. Our Spanish friends respect the organisers and revere the events in Scotland so much that the Todotrial boys come to cover it so yeah it get's there fast. I find it incredible the length some people will go to to criticise the Pre 65 organisers, I wonder how much of that criticism comes from those who don't get an entry in the trial.

Leys 0 Alan Crayk 1 Neil Gaunt 1 Murray Whittaker 2 (couple of others as well.) Calvert had dropped 5, Carlos Casas was on 6 word when I left was that the first three had eached dropped at least a mark, Whittaker was still clean to Pipeline. Pipeline was really easy today lots of cleans but horrid yesterday.

Nah it's his dad.... B40RT continually call's me by my old man's name..I'm used to it...no shot of Scottish energy drink for him on Friday....just to keep the cold and rain out. Spikeyone....The caveat is in there already mate... we're not confident about the weekend never mind next week.

As I've written elsewhere, this weekend coming looks horrible, I'd even say there's a risk of a snow shower higher up on Saturday. HOWEVER........based on the cut out of a chart below the main part of next week is looking better. If this scenario works out it'll improve steadily from Sunday afternoon onwards, the high pressure building from the southwest. The high will continue to build until it kind of stops over the UK. East coast will be crap but the west could have a really good week. BUT as thing have been changing so much recently model run by model run I would prepare for the worst and everything else is a bonus The pic is for midday Tuesday; Light easterly winds, partly cloudy temperatures up to 21 degrees, what more do you want.....
