  5. Old one that Mark..... one of our standards that...i'm just glad I'm finished for the next two weeks...
  6. You been reading our manual???? in this case it's probably right Tim, too many ifs and buts, no two models are consistant. Everything we issue has a confidence level attached, it's all going out Low wrt detail. It is difficult to call even Friday/Saturday could be totally different, I put the earlier post up last night but even now 12 hours later I'm not comfortable with it.
  7. Right, what you all been waiting for......... Wellies and Waterproofs I'm afraid; which by that miserable beggar Grieg's theory the sun will be splitting the skies, not this year by the look of things. Pretty unsettled on the whole but things can change. There's a suggestion of a high drifting north into next week but at the moment it's only a suggestion. Friday - Showers and sunny spells odd longer spell of rain, not too breezy, temperature about 10 - 12 Saturday - fewer showers, more in the way of sunshine, temperature maybe as high as 12 - 14 Sunday - Showers, longer spell of rain possible roughly late afternoon early evening 12-14 Beyond that staying unsettled. Monday has the potential to be good, if that high drifts in but.... it'll warm up as the week progresses but still be spells of rain. No-one's had any confidence in the detail this week at all I'm leaving here Thursday so i'll update this before I leave, I'm not there all week so I'll throw the other odd bit of info on here and the six days website as the week progresses...if HL lets me.
  8. Well, Mrs S has been off today so she been slaving away making a big steak pie local steak and sausages in a nice ale based gravy, minted Garden Peas and chips....lovely....be back soon this is too good to sit here chatting....
  9. Been a busy chappie, I'll have a look and post something later...if it's okay I'll have me tea first!!!
  10. Sounds like you got some water in your system somewhere mate, light grey suggests it's emulsified.
  11. I'll have a look at the various Scottish energy drink flavours I have and select something suitable........
  12. Why were you in the Fort yesterday.....??????? Programmes, I 'll buy three of each, on to use, one for Mrs Slapshot to spill coffee over at some point during the week and one to keep in mint condition....sad, anorak types..... Paul, Do you still want me to take that extra refreshment out....that extra bit of erm courage
  13. I'm cool with it......another thick ear from Mrs G...wouldn't be the same without it. D (anyway keep this really quiet, That's only the first half dozen groups, I didn't want to scare the likes of OTF and Big John too much.....they'll wet themselves when they find out they're doing the scrubbing at Grey Mares Tail and Schoolhouse for Monday morning......and as for this new Super Step that OTH has been talking about, we'll need a block and tackle to get some of those old bikes up that....like I say keep that one quiet)
  14. What Rappers said..... from what I've heard Friday runs Aluminium Works, Pipeline, Ait Tamh, Dubh Lochan, Coire Na Cruadhie, Meall Na Cruadhie 1 and 2, etc etc , I'm observig at Meall na Cruadhie on Friday......Upper Mamore Saturday, be sure and say hi
  15. See I can't understand the problems folks have with the power delivery of these bike, mine was smoothness personified. Mechanicals - Well lubed throttle, new cable every six months (don't like oilers) carb always clean, timing a fraction retarded not much at all As said already I guess I rarely used more than second in sections and kept the revs fairly high. I never had problems with on - off power and loved the engine braking. I guess as said on the Beta thread it depends how much time you spend ironing out the bugs. A factory machine is rarley anything like a customer machine purely because of the time spent by the factory mechanics
  16. YUP..... Copey me old mate, see if you can get some of the boys to sign the back of it, especially young Mr Smage i'd probably never wear unique stuff like that anyway, wouldn't want to spill good whisky down it
  17. Bo, Change the throttle to a 90degree one slow action is best I found with my 250. The cable could be your culprit had to change mine when it got draggy or the way you describe it. replace mine with a venhill kit cable and it solved the problem, other alternative could be crap in the carb.

    Routes

    The routes are oot........clicky
  19. This is why they say don't panic........the UK has 70 days worth of fuel in storage the distribution of that is already underway. Anyway, I strongly suspect that the strike will be called off because the economy will suffer hugely and Wee Eck couldn't handle that and Holyrood will intervene. FFS sake folks don't panic
  20. sorry did I miss something about driving............ ...
