  1. Probably depends which year mate but it is easier to pull the back wheel to give that wee bit more space to work
  2. think of the extra sale value though It's had Lane's ar$e on it at some point ....daresay it could be more it could be Debbie's oi Evil Overlord..how can ar$e be **** out.....come on Enough Silliness By the way our colonial chums, how's she recovering after her accident??
  3. What the evil one says is spot on, try as many different bikes as you can and if you can get a decent test ride on the three you list do so. Find the one that you feel most comfortable on because to be honest there are very few honest trials riders who won't maintain their bike, so the standard will be pretty good, It's all about how you feel Montesa - don't know much, only rode a few but seemed smooth enough Sherco - Pogo stick with a quick temper if you're not careful, my old man had one. I do know a couple of blokes who reckon they are the doggies danglers Beta - A little biased but felt neutral and comfortable straight away ( I'm fat and aging rapidly as well - I'll say it before any of the other ******s on here do!!!) It really is down to how you feel on the bike Good luck and welcome to the madhouse
  4. From the front page it takes longer from when I hit the link into the forums to get into them than it does for the Front Page to load up, seriously, chances are it's more to do with my crap machine at home that she won't let me replace. The speeds are not really a problem, you wanted picky, that's picky, personally they're fine. If you want some really p*** poor numbers I'll tell you what it's like in here on our exciting windows NT operating platform...........
  5. Location: Nearer to God himself - Aberdeenshire Connection (home): 8MB BT Internet Speed: 2 secs for the front page. Forums around 5 seconds. (can be slower in the early evening, occasionally as much as 10 seconds)
  6. SCOTS...........we tends just to buy it, I can't comment of others though.
  7. Bicycle ones are no use whatsoever, a trials chain is the wrong pitch to grip in a cycle tool, the pins are too stiff to move with a cycle tool. If anyone has positive experience with one which type, I've gone through about half a dozen of the damn things
  8. Remember helping out in the park ferme one year 86 I think it was the Thursday and back then road race day (or should we call it Kinell's day now ) all day folk were coming back in with no knobbles left on their tyres, it was relatively warm but i wouldn't have said warm enough to delaminate tyres. It wasn't long after the intro of the Michelin X 1 but there were some knackered tyres that day, even came to the attention of the local constabulary. Personally turn em, mind you I don't get out often enough to worry about it too much!!
  9. Me...I'm as round as anyone would ever want
  10. Now this has hit us...the boy wonder (Can you still call them that at nearly 22) got a rather official looking letter from Whitehall the other day outlining that his details, ourdetails and his grand parents details were among those lost by the MOD. Should we find ourselves victims of Identity Fraud then we should contact a number and they'll help us through any situation we find ourselves in.....Like the rest of the MOD that'll be sorry, tough sh!t and f3ck off
  11. EASY..... Politicians Shoot the buggers and ask questions later... would be much easier to run the country with that threat over their heads...yes I need my bed too
  12. Instant protest...go on admit it Atom....
  13. fraid not Tim, its more Blackadderesque than anything else........isn't that right Darling
  14. I find it disappointing that you chaps can't agree with what the great comic messiah ( well he has the right initials) has said about all this and anyway I think you are all missing a vital point here - you really all just want to be Scots ........
  15. Now there's a valid point, I think this warrants a proper government styleee investigation, ie what's in it for me!!! As nationalised assets, I'll have the Bultos and a Matchless, Paul you can take your pick afterwards. I think we'd have to follow giudance and return them to proper ownership once conditions are more favourable....I'll get my learned friend Mr Brown to advise us on this one, (I've written to him this week already so another letter won't take long...I know his address!!!!) Yup, we knew the shareholders would protest but you will get a minimal return even though your response and salvage plan were Virgin on the rediculous........ you can still look at the pictures..... Obviously OTF and I will expect delivery at your earliest opportunity, failing that we'll see you in Kinlochleven
  16. It's okay, I'm used to abuse on here, my beloved Leafs will bounce back.......someday
  17. Welcome to the Civil Service...
  18. Don't you want someone who can handle their ale then Ishy...
  19. OTF, I left it vague so's not to upset him....
  20. That depends which bank...especially when discussing Matchless's
  21. That's low Steve, talk about kicking a man when he's down...
  22. Understatement of the year...... ...how many other adjectives can we think of. Snr Greeves, as I said last night about the Bultaco that is a pretty little James.
  23. that was better than the two word answer I expected...... (Don't make it the Inverness weekend...)
  24. guys, I'm intrigued by this thread, I've never noticed my clutch ever being anything other than lightness itself. It's well maintained, oil changed every 6 to 8 hours riding, mechanical parts burr free and always well lubed, I'm not sure what force is needed at the lever for actuation but I've never seen the need to try and lighten the action D
