  1. No mention of Alexz as part of the British contingent. Is he riding for another country now?

No Alexz this weekend I suspect, Facebook is covered in pics of a massivley swollen and bruised ankle, he's on crutches as well, looks like a training accident. Shame was looking forward to watching him, he may not be getting top three results but by god you cant fault his effort....from last year....

  2. I think there's little point thinking about WTC when BTC is in a crap state as well. I think we, as in the UK, need to sort BTC first. Six in Championship class is rediculous and you have to ask how long clubs will organise a headline BTC event when only six riders turn up in the top class.

  3. Yeh, a shot in the dark perhaps Mark but we're a bit short on details here? Who is the elusive tyre fitter? Is it Rosemary the telephone operator or Penry the mild mannered janitor? Best consult the Hong Kong book of Kung Fu.......

    GJ

FFS Gav...that salt air must be getting to you mate.... it was HENRY the mild mannered janitor...

Stuart, did you get anything sorted out mate??

  4. Our lager

    Which art in barrels

    Hallowed be thy drink

    Thy will be drunk

At home as in the tavern

Give us this day our foamy head

    And forgive us our spillages

As we forgive those who spill against us

And lead us not into incarceration

    But deliver us from hangovers

    For thine is the beer

    The bitter and the lager

    For ever and ever

    Barmen

  5. When does this press embargo end from Gas Gas??

todotrial have bike on their site (do they not playby the rules?) and Gas Gas had it in Germany with Raga so surely they now want to allow people to see/hear about it.

Andy has already said he will honour the press embargo therefore until such times as he decrees we'll delete any images that appear contary to this. Hope you can understand Andy's reasons.

    thanks

  6. Just a quick tuppenceworth. I was quite keen to see them in the Fort and cosmetically, I wasn't hugely impressed, the girder frame does not work when you look at the cleaner lines of all the competition, putting the Greeves next to the Ossa is like looking at the latest Zonda R beside a model T.I wanted to be impressed and wanted to find something to like but I was stumped.

Later in the week I saw one in pieces on a stand in parc ferme and it looked like a bodge job, there really was nothing there that I could say looked right.

I hate to put a downer on the team that's building them but to put something that doesn't look right and doesn't work right into a hugely competitive and small market where reliability sells borders on commercial suicide to me.

I hope things turn round for them but I don't see how.

  8. Headline news......up to Wednesday looks superb then it's starts to drift a wee bit. All the European models look consistent out till Wednesday which generally means high confidence in the conditions. Beyond that there are strong signs of the settled conditions breaking down. Anyway.... It'll probably all go wrong!! I'll have a look again towards Friday see what changes there are.

Friday 29th - Partly cloudy, less than 10% chance of a shower, southeasterly winds less than 10mph, temperature 15-18 degrees

Saturday 30th - Long clear sunny spells, DRY, southeasterly winds less than 10mph, temperature 17-19 degrees

Sunday 1st - Long clear sunny spells, DRY, southeasterly winds less than 10mph temperature 16-18 degrees

Monday 2nd - Long clear sunny spells, DRY, southeasterly winds less than 5mph temperature, 19-21 degrees

Tuesday 3rd - clear sunny spells partly cloudy in the afternoon, DRY, Northeasterly winds less than 5mph temperature, 14-16 degrees

Wednesday 4th - cloudy, patchy rain and drizzle, northeasterly winds 5-10mph temperature, 12-13 degrees

Thursday 5th - cloudy, patchy rain and drizzle, northerly winds 5-10mph temperature, 10-12 degrees

Friday 6th - cloudy, patchy rain, northwesterly winds 10mph temperature, 9-11 degrees

Saturday 7th - cloudy, patchy rain, northwesterly winds 10mph temperature, 11-13 degrees

No major changes, the good days are still good not so good days still not brilliant however next Saturday looking a lot better than it was

  9. Good luck and enjoy it - hope all the comments on TC have helped a little bit. Don't know about others but every SSDT feels a little bit like your first as you are never quiet sure what the week will bring. I think anybody who has finished a few is more than willing to help so never be afraid to ask as it is a little bit special.

    PS

Don't be too busy to miss out on the scenery

    ...or the craic,

  10. Nah, far too small. This is my boat. I'm having the staff bring her up and moor her in Loch Linnhe. You're welcome to join us for Pimms and canapes on the aft deck one evening. :icon_salut:

  12. I'm happy to buy a program, just would like to have an idea of where I am going before I get there :agreed:

Friday - all the stuff along the lochside is there plus loch Eile Burn, Pipeline and the Aluminium Works

Saturday - Aluminium Works and Pipeline again plus lots of groups along the top Mamore Road plus Lower Calliach and Lower Mamore on the north side of the Loch and the same groups as Friday on the south side.

    Thanks Uncle Alex.........

oh and PS....any comments about Old Mr Gizza 5 you've had it....

  13. Up in Scotland for a couple of days but only going to be able to take in one day of the trial. Monday. Want to cram in as much as possible on that day plan is to start at Leanachan also do Lagnaha and Town Hall Brae can anyone recommend a group inbetween that I stand a chance of getting parked at? Was thinking Blackwater or Coire Mhorair, are these groups ok for spectators?

    Cheers

    Dave

Blackwater is a long long walk if you're planning Lagnaha as well. Leanachan, leisurely drive down to Lagnaha, coffee and buns in the community centre (unless fatboy Andy Greig gets there first) then two groups of brilliant sections at Lagnaha
