Are you heading up? Someone said to me yesterday you seemed like a nice bloke. They've obviously not met you!
Funnily enough, someone said the same about you last weekend......
No weekend on, Day shift Sat and Sun, Mrs S is threatening it but only to pi$$ me off......
Nope I'm gearing up for a couple of weeks time, really looking forward to it, worse than a two year old this year....observing the pre 65 and a new camera to play with all week yeehaa
-
You're wrong Gizza....
Sunday: Start at the Parc Ferme out turn left, cross at the traffic lights, turn up on to the main street, straight along the main street turn left in the Volunteer Arms couple of pints, exit, watch parade take pics, walk along to the Alex couple of pints, head back to the caravan, open bottle of malt start the week as you mean to go on
-
I may laugh but it does look like a good weekend.........bu&&er.....worse It's my weekend on
-
Definately...just tell us when and where there from the previous Thursday for the P 65 right through the week.....someone remember the tyre levers for Big Johns legendary tight wallet.

So far off topic but if the boss is contributing........
In simple terms Doug is the greatest ever, Cota Kid has backed this up with stats and we all know what we have seen over the last 10 years. Don't get me Jordi was amazing to watch but then so was Lejeune (the real one ), Michaud, Saunders etc etc etc
I'd look at it another way as well:
Before Doug no one had ever won more than three titles consecutively, Doug took his seven on the run. What this suggests is that the amount of progress each individual champion made in terms of changing the sport, moving the goal posts if you like is relative to the number of consective titles they took. Vesty won three from 76 to 78 and moved the sport a huge amount then similarly Eddy his three in the early 80s. When Jordi took the first of his people wondered when he'd be challenged, it was only three seasons later that Tommi Ahvala took the crown. Jordi fought back and nailed the next three but when Colomer took the crown from Jordi the opposition had caught him up again...........it took the rest of the World Trials elite SEVEN years to wrestle the title away from Doug (and if I remember there were injuries involved there.)
I don't think it matters what way you look at it Dougie Lampkin is the greatest rider in the history of our sport.
Oh and the Topic: Dibs has had a brilliant start on the 4rt and in Bosis and TRW a team that can easily motivate him into the top three in the world.

Paul,
That looks superb mate

Boys get this on topic sensibly, otherwise I'll delete it before it turns into a slagging match

See now you've blown it Dom, you are actually trying to understand it as well
-
Bou
Fuji
Raga
though I doubt it will happen as Bou has done what Dougie did and raise the bar, Lampkin, Bou, Fuji would be a much better end...
100 gp wins is definately on though
-
What a man......no running no way I'm doing that fun run now...thanks Billy
-
I'll take some too, I should have done the same....
-
Well sort of, but not really. We realise Trials riders are also humans and have issues from time to time they may want to discuss with a professional "Agony Aunt". We've found one and are considering a "Dear Dom" page where you can submit your "My wife is more interested in her Mills & Boon than in Trials" type problems
Ah well, she's sorted. Two new books (not M&Bs) and a cushion (blow up ) for those cold damp rocks....????
PS she says she's reading this over my shoulder and all those comments are accumulating into a thick ear Andy, she says you can't hide all week!!!!!!! She knows what the scooby looks like

I sense another "happened on the road...stays on the road" thread.....
Have a good weekend Chaps???
-
Agree with that Marky Boy, good to see him in the top 6
Big Up to Wiggy as well third on the 125, mind you lets be honest a good weekend for all the British Riders well done guys

Knew that would wake you up:
Four options:
1. look at old patterns, similar feb/march pictures and get a rough giude.
2. 10 days out start using ensemble models to get a good idea of what the weather is doing
3. On the run in patterns firm up issue guidance and forecasts
4. or if all else fails......Wait till you can see it over the next hill.....
-
right now...60/40 erring on the good side looking at past patterns. Then again it could all be ballox come may...
-
Gizza - you are such a pessimist! Bosis and Lenzi have indeed withdrawn their entries - I don't know why, and if I did, it wouldn't be my place to announce it here or anywhere else - but there will definitely be a Montesa truck in the Parc Ferme!
He's just worried because he's terrible at making sarnies

This is great reading, thanks Billy. Did a bunch of nutritional stuff on the last IIHF coaching seminar I did, interesting stuff and I can back up what Billy said, water's best. We were offered a deal on this Powerade stuff all sorts of wierd colours and tastes but it really doesn't do what it says, I don't think many of them do. Always say that for every half litre of those the guys drink they drink at least two litres of water. Personally I always found half strength Isostar suited mecoupled with loads of water.
During games we can sweat off up to 8 pounds of body weight, that has to be replaced. Yes you need to keep electrolyte levels up but without copious amounts of water you start flagging and becoming dehydrated within the first 10 minutes of a game.
lets have a new forum Andy

Barcota,
If you look on the ssdt site and them latest news, there is a link into the lastest list, looks like both Bosis and Lenzi have been pulled by TRW, pity.
I would link to it but this useless work PC won't let me.....
Try again
Clicky

They were listed 238 and 239 but they DO NOT appear in the new list, woinder why????
-
What he said
Wahay, I'm only stupid now......
-
Stopped buying it, I can get all I need here or in the mag
It's lived it's life but has refused to move on, the trials emphasis has gone whether they believe it or not.
-
I used to laugh at my dad when he said how "sore" he was after a trial or whatever but I tell you what I'm starting to believe him. I dislocated my shoulder playing ice hockey years ago and it never bothered me but every time I pull on my kit these days my shoulder hurts......maybe it's psychosematicall in the head...
this age thing is terrible...
