  1. I kind of got the Beta off ebay. put my honda up for sale but said I'd be interested in a swap, 6 hrs later had a rely and an offer. met the guy at Scotch Corner, did the deal. Nothing confirmed before hand but as folk go, trials riders are a fairly trustworthy bunch.
  2. It might but Andy will be warming up his libel lawyers...
  3. YUP!!!!! we'll always be first to respond, it's natural. We spend half our lives in here. Andy is probably right Rappers will get a few more fingers typing!!
  4. Good Topic, Isn't this indicative of trials folk in general or life really, there are very few who are movers and shakers, a few more willing to put out to get things done but in general most are happy to sit back and let others get on with it. How many individuals take the time to lay out a trial, join a club comittee, do route marking, observe, offer to contribute. Same thing on here how many lurkers are there, I know my old man reads the boards, won't comment but he does his bit for the local club. He feels he contributes. Another preventative things is confidence. How many of the people who are Site Supporters (not enough yet stump up punters, it's the best 10 quid you'll spend all year...advertising on the boards, yeah i know but it's in a good cause ) or just forum members don't actually have the confidence to put their convictions or advice into "print". These boards are superb source of information, advice, banter etc more contributions more of the same.
  5. Th run then was from pap of Glencoe to sections called Cairn then over the hill through the forest to Lagnaha. I think the club lost access to thata while ago. The tweaks and variation will make a nice few changes for people this year. Only minor issue I can see is that it gives Kinell two shots at heading for Mallaig ....
  6. definately boots..I find thongs too cutting and uncomfortable and your feet would hurt on the footrests if all you wore was a thong
  7. How to advertise your old boots..... Anyone willing to acknowledge ownership.....of either boots or model
  8. Currently best looking is the new Beta Rev 4 but I ride Beta's so I'm biased Favourite ever: Post 34, RTL Honda Last of the RTL Works bikes (i think), long time ago now but still think the Pink Rtl's were the best looking trials bikes ever. (I have a soft spot for any of the Honda trials bikes, TL TLR RTL TLM etc etc ) Twin Shocks 340 Bultaco (old man had one, loved it despite the pain). Loved the Ossa Gripper, the big orange beggar Yellow 320 Majesty's were lovely as well Moffat's Matchless Sammy's Ariel and of course any BSA fan has to love OOH 760 PS I'm 40!!!!!!

  17. To get the detail required most of these things use a multiple scanning technique. Therefore you will have scans taken at different times and a composite image with shadows all over the place. We have a scan of Aberdeen at work, it covers a linear distance of about 8 miles north to south but is made up of of over 300 passes. Much of the shadow has been eliminated but if you look closley at it you can count the passes by the changes in the sea. Tim, I'd have been more worried about that huge golfball in the middle of the bridge!!!
  18. .......heavy Duty internal wiring for Nora's, er, appliances.......(suppose the fishin boats in burntisland will get to charge their batteries up) You do realise we've had it...again
  19. As long as you don't tow up with an excessive amount of electric appliances & gadgets next time you stay it should be OK. Electrically powered accessories? The mind boggles.......
  20. You need to make sure she has plenty to read when you take her to events like that Ian ...ask Andy
  21. A single woman goes out for a drink and meets a man in a bar. They talk, they connect, they end up leaving together. They get back to his place, and as he shows her around his apartment, she notices that one wall of his bedroom is completely filled with soft, sweet, cuddly teddy bears. There are a whole stack of shelves in the bedroom, with literally hundreds and hundreds of cute, cuddly teddy bears, carefully placed in rows covering the entire wall! It was obvious that he had taken quite some time to lovingly arrange them and she was immediately touched by the amount of thought he had put into organizing the display. There were small bears all along the bottom shelf, medium-sized bears covering the length of the middle shelf, and huge, enormous bears running all the way along the top shelf. She found it strange for an obviously masculine guy to have such a large a collection of teddy bears, but doesn't mention this to him, and actually is quite impressed by his sensitive side. They shared a bottle of wine and continued talking and, after a while, she finds herself thinking, "Oh my God! Maybe, this guy could be the one! Maybe he could be the future father my children?" She turns to him and kisses him lightly on the lips. He responded warmly. They continue to kiss, the passion builds, and he romantically lifted her in his arms and carried her into his bedroom where they ripped off each other's clothes and made hot, steamy love. She is so overwhelmed that she responds with more passion, more creativity, more heat than she has ever known. After an intense, explosive night of raw passion with this sensitive guy, they are lying there together in the afterglow. The woman rolls over, gently strokes his chest and asks coyly, "Well, how was it?" The guy gently smiles at her, strokes her cheek, looks deeply into her eyes, and says: "Before you leave .help yourself to any prize from the middle shelf."
