That's what happens as you get older
With mine open the petrol tap, open the choke, snick it into gear rock it back and fore to check the clutch is free, then a good hard prod on the kickstart no throttle, first or second kick every time, leave choke on for 10 sec switch it off and warm it up gently. Lots of folks seem to have problems starting them.
I think I've been really lucky with mine though not had any major problems that couldn't be sorted quickly.
Cheers

Big question of course, If a four banger Gasser is on the way.....Will it's discussion thread be as long as the Beta's?
Suppose Shirty and John Lampkin could have a mines is bigger than yours discussion after that

Weather forecasts for 2 weeks, how long does it take to move a couple o flags,
THEES A NUTTER!
See if they get tomorrows weather right !
Test sections ?
How much time have folk got, how much availability of the land?
WAKE UP PLEASE
All this chat about the weather and my name hasn't been mentioned...thanks boys I normally get the blame for cr@p weather on here
However, anyone who places any real credence on a ten day or longer forecast is mental...sorry Old trials fanatic. I can give you a list of about 30 sites who put long range site specific forecasts on display, they are all rubbish, Ours UK Forecasts (not for sale , general issue) is basically a general forecast, it is completely non specific.
We do sell long range forecasts out to 10 days+ but the clients who buy them and use them know the terms they are sold under and will also use shorter range forecasts 2 to 5 days, but weather being what it is, you can always go wrong.......

Watcha Perce,
My pal has had the same problems since she switched to the Orange service. E mail gone to cr@p problems with virus checkers not working you name it. She had already signed up to the contract so is kinda snookered until it runs out. She will be changing rather quickly I think..
hope that helps

noise levels are interesting.....Beta kinda purrs gently then growls it's way up the climbs whereas the monts starts of growling and then barks it's way up. That Beta is quiet......

Some of Sergio's stuff is okay, (don't tell him I prefer Andy's stuff). I haven't really had much chance to shoot much yet, only had the camera a few weeks (been savin up) all I've done so far is landscapes and arty stuff, once I can get to a trial I've about 10,000 old photo's to compare the quality with....
The Link is a great website for Canon information, lenses flashguns you name it....
I'll use fill in flash at trials though you can always play with dark shots on photoshop.

I also beleive that Dibs' new team are "supplied" by the factory......let's face it Diego Bosis is no mug and I doubt he'd lend himself to something that wasn't top shelf. Go back and have a good read at the article boys, it explains a affy lot

but unfortunately true......
Where things like land access and right of passage etc etc etc come into our sport we ALL need to stand together and fight for our cause, no one is going to do it for us.

I reckon his confidence must be soaring because in the days of tight budgets and reducing teams he has obviously been sought out.
Well done dibs

1. Gently take off the o ring on the petrol filler
2. Squeeze the wide end of the rubber.....
3. use the cut out on the back of the plastic piece to ensure the rubber is all the way in....
4. Gently pull it back through till it get into the right slot....
5. Give it a squirt of WD40 to lube the cables/hoses
6. gently slide the plastic over the filler
7. Put the O ring back on
Sorry Andy, how much innuendo can you get in the one post.....I'll understand if this disappears

Just had a drag through some old weather charts and stats about '86.....saddo yes, bored Saturday in work, again YES!!!
On the Monday fronts moved East to west (unusual direction in the UK, depression in the far south of Englandshire) wet and radioactive on the Monday into Tuesday. Fronts pushed into atlantic to be met by another set of active fronts heading in the normal way so it hunbg about and came back, (remember a superb satellite pic at the time), heavy rain practically all day on the Wednesday. Some of the rainfall totals were rediculous that day, our main three stations in the west coast at the time were Prestwick Airport, Glasgow Airport and Benbecula and they all recorded over 70mm rain on the Wednesday 7th May 1986 however three smaller reporting stations seem a bit more representative, at least it was relativley mild...about ten degrees
Sloy (on Loch Lomondside) 133mm over 5 inches of rain
Fersit (Yes that Fersit, rain gauge in the Hamlet) 110mm over 4 inches
Fort William (reporting station at the Aluminium) works 109mm 4 inches
The local topography accounts for the differences, that and the conveyor belt dynamics of frontal physics Smart A$$
It was wet, three days of stonking heavy showers added to it, not nice and all that lovely Russian fallout to go with it they wonder why we're all mad ТОБАГИЦ..

Would one of them be 86 then boys......same year as Chernobyl???
remember that year vividly...Went to Chairlift nice gentle burn section couple of inches of water flowing when I got there, when I left the water was at barrel height, horrendous amount of rain that year, wettest I ever remember. When I got back to the office 4 inches of lovely radioactive rain had fallen on the Northwest of Scotland on the one day, think it was the Tuesday but maybe wrong.
Worst of it was it just kept raining that week, lovely Scottish rain

He'll be busy thinking about all the abuse he'll get if he says yes!! (sounds gorgeous , had to play the vid again at 5:30 this morning when I got up for work....very sad)

Just wanted to use the new smiley..
Spot on, it's about preferences I got on with the TLR but find the Beta easier, maybe it just makes up for my mistakes.....
-
I love 4 strokes, had a TLR till june this year and love evrything about them. Suppose it comes of growing up around four strokes, especially old scramblers, love the noise, love the smell (especially burning Castrol R ), however I find the Rev 3 easy to get on with, straightforward to ride and maintain but I find myself drawn to the new rev 4, new heart in old clothes maybe.
Personally one of each might be best, with a nice C15 or a Royal Enfield thrown in for good measure

Didn't spot that before hope that's the only place he puts 'em......Does look like an OLDER blokes bike doesn't it
